- What's better a ride or it's theming? Phantasialand said: "why not both?!"
Join us as we travel from the UK all the way to Phantasialand to ride the infamous Taron the magical F.L.Y and my "one true love" Chiapas...
Rookburgh completely floored us with it's beauty and attention to detail, my only complaint is that I had to leave!

This is such a great vlog! You nailed the cinematography as always but I loved the unique format of this one - it's a really compelling mix between a traditional vlog, a review, and a commentary video.
I'm with Mike on this.
Thanks man, your videos have been a huge inspiration to try something new in the commentary space! Glad you liked it!
A masterpiece of filmmaking. Absolutely spectacular and so emotionally driven.
Thanks Bez!
The way you share your passion for theme parks in a very cinematic way is simply amazing. I fully agree with your opinion on how theming simply elevates anything and it also makes it more engaging for us, the guests!
You’ve inspired me to try something that was more focused on theming in Planet Coaster too! Thank you!
Thank you!
Oh, amazing! Have just subscribed to your channel, cant wait to see what you make!!
Masterpiece of an VLog of my kinda Home parkm i live around 1:30h away from the park per Train and its always a good day there, and yes i require now every park to have Phantasialand theming... not like Disneyland paris shit levels
As someone who has known this park since childhood, all I can say is that they outdid themselves. Due to the small area, many older rides had to go and due to the proximity to the residents, creative solutions had to be found. This turned the park planners into perfectionists.
I really hope that they will finally get a new area (around 50% more space) in 2025, to be able to compete with bigger parks.
Wasnt the original plan like three times the current size?
@@Chaoshero5567 it won't be even a part of Brühl instead it would be from the other town right next to it.
@@CavHDeu Yeah, but those Brühlers just blocking... understandable on one site... but pls give the park land man... it would make so greater, imagine like Disney big with same theming... damm... best park of the world confirmed?
@@Chaoshero5567 absolutely.
Until I was 25 Phantasialand was the only park I ever had been, because it’s pretty close to home. I was pretty disappointed when I learned, that most other parks don’t do theming this intensive.
You've definitely been spoilt growing up 😂
Have you ever been to Europa/Efteling/Disney before? They look to be just as good!
Yes I have been to Europapark and Eftelingen both very nice parks, but still different to Phantasialand.
Europapark has very nice theming for all the different Countries areas they have. Eftelingen is very spacious, with woods and big fields that give you like a nice market feeling. Maybe it give like old fairytale vibes.
What I think differents those two parks from Phantasialand is, that for the big outdoor rides(the Indoors are mostly every were good in the aspect of theming) that you don’t get the immersive experience you get from Taron, Fly or Blackmamba were you are in the world. While you are one the ride you see and feel the the world around you. On the top of the ride you don’t see an other part of the park. In Europapark and Eftelingen you more have the ride on the „green field“(what is way better than and old carpark) but you can see other rides etc.
That’s only spoken on the theming. It’s still a great a good time there and I would good there again any time(for Europapark I wait for the new ride).
@@pumbaandtimon I understand what you mean! The way Phantasialand blocks off the outside world and the other areas is truly amazing! Thanks for taking the time to explain the differences 🙌
I came across this blog by chance and you are a true natural; such an interesting and informative review and fab editing. Congrats!
Thank you for the lovely comments!
I have been watching coaster videos since rct2 came out. With the thousands of hours invested in watching coasters videos well over a decade, this is the single best coaster video I have seen. The blend of the best cinematography, great commentary, and the best coaster vlog I have seen all on top of exceptional editing is beyond refreshing. Extraordinarily good video. Well done. Very excited to have come across your channel and you have a subscriber after one video
Oh wow, thank you so much!! I hope you enjoy everything else that is to come just as much haha!
Can’t wait to see what the reviews are at Cannes for this masterpiece!
Love the style mate. Captured the park beautifully
Thanks dude! Appreciate that 😍
Might have teared up during the video. Well done! You captured the magic of Phantasialand and how it makes you feel perfectly in this vlog/commentary vid. Can't wait to go back. (And yes, I agree. Chiapas is incredibly amazing, it makes you excuse the drenched...everything 😂)
Wow, your editing is great!!!
Thank you!! ☺️
What the hell this vlog completely blew me away! So cinematic really blurring the lines of cinema and vlogging! Astinishing edit and so stylistic! Love this park keep up the good work! 🎉🎢
Thank you so much for watching! Phantasialand can make anything look awesome 🤣
This video is a video I enjoyed. A beautiful view of a beautiful place.
You must learn the tricks though. LIDL's cheap surf shoes pack down very light and dry quickly. Useful for water rides. Take a set of worn out clothes you hate. Do all the water rides first thing. Change in the toilets into your finer garms. Bin the soggy scraggles. Room in bag now for merch.
Awesome video! Definitely looking out to visit this park once :D
Such a class video 🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wonderfully edited, lpve the shots you took! I'm glad you had a good time
So informative! 😮
Marvellous video, finally going myself next month. Thank you for your wonderful video
Oh amazing! Hope you have a fantastic time!!
leuke kat - gezellig
Chiapas disco 🕺🏻 music, theming and music make a theme park
I adore the Chiapas music 😂
What a great watch. Everything about this is brilliant!!!! Glad you loved Phantasialand
Thank you Matt 😍 Did you enjoy your visit? 😉
@@WorldofThrills I really loved my visit thanks. This vlog brought all the memories flooding back. What was your favourite food there?
God LOVE this style so much, outstanding video!!
Thanks Cal! Thank you for watching too!! 🤩
What was wrong with Mystery Castle?
Apparently if you wait until after 3pm you are supposed to get a longer cycle on the ride, but for us it literally launched us up once… and that was it 🤷🏻♂️ We both came off being like, “oh that was short” haha
@@WorldofThrillsThe cycle switch happens at 2 PM. Both cycles are pretty short because the compressed air tank used for the propulsion has limited capacity. The main difference is that before the switch you go straight up first, followed by some bungee-style ups and downs (and that‘s it), while going half way up, then slowly back down before being launched to the top (followed by less bungee-style ups and downs) after the switch. The 2nd cycle is more intense/has more build-up. But I guess that‘s pretty subjective in the end. 😉
@@KfromShC Oh interesting! Thanks for letting me know 😁
Can't wait for you to visit Europapark
Hopefully one day!
Hi Jack, curious if there’s anything about your experience that you would have done any differently or if you have advice for a Phantasialand first-timer?
Hey Josh! I think as our first time at the park It was pretty perfect! I definitely think staying on-site is worth-it if your budget allows. The package deal for Charles Lindbergh hotel is pretty good value, plus you can still experience the area once the park closes, plus dinner/breakfast the bar etc.
If you can only do 1 day then you're still going to have a great time! But, staying at the hotels really just made everything truly amazing!
WOW! What a video.
Just an incredible video mate! Blown away by it all, one of the best videos I’ve seen
I think it's the biggest authentic Chinese building outside of China.
This was just too emotional 😭
God I love theming.
It’s literally everything isn’t it 😭
Wow, what a great video
Thank you! 🤩
Could have used more shots of the actual rides. Idk? It was weird to just have you go "im going on a ride" and then it flipped to "we just went on this ride and it was so cool".
I guess i just thought this would be more about the topic in the title. I did enjoy your video about efteling though! It's great
Hey, that’s a fair comment. This was very much the first time I ever did anything sit-down review style so definitely finding my feet still!
Appreciate the feedback 🎉
