I've been told that when painting windows with linseed oil paint, in cold climates the interior side of the window should have an extra coat so that it is more moisture resistant than the outside. This makes the window more resistant to absorbing indoor humidity and lets any humidity "breathe outwards" and escape to the outdoors.
Yes, it could be used for the interior side of the window sash but I really like working with the Ottosson Linseed Oil Paint for interior trim. It is sandable and more highly pigmented so ideal for trim or other interior surfaces. The Viking brand was specifically designed/formulated with exterior wood surfaces in mind. Feel free to reach out with project specific questions at info@earthandflax.com anytime.

Hi
Could the paint be used on the interior of window frames and trim?
Thank you
