The story of evolution is ‘ The greatest show on Earth’ that they are talking about. Unfortunately you pulled the song 2/3 of the way through including the main spoken element from Richard Dawkins whose book the song was based on which came in the next section. That may have helped you to understand it better.
This song is based on the book of the same name by Richard Dawkins about evolution and dawn of life. The brief spoken word part in the middle of the song was actually his voice. As someone mentioned below they actually had Dawkins at a different show come out on stage and deliver the closing spoken words (take directly from the book) in person.
More like inspired by the book than based.
it was the sweetest thing when dawkins talked about it, he was so nervous because hed never been in front of that many people before.

What monster cut the video short right there? The most moving, spine-tingling, thought-provoking part of the whole thing was just about to happen. I actually gasped that it ended like that.

Nightwish and Epica is the 2 top names in symfonic metal, followed up by a few others, but those 2 really stand out, and i love Nightwish, but on my Headphones i listen to more Epica, is a epic band to.. both bands are also amazing live..

Sadly you chopped off the end of the song because it wasn't finished! Now that Marko has left, we're going to find that Nightwish will be crippling their concert-lists by removing all the great songs that Marko's vocals were prevalent in- and those are some of their most iconic tracks too... They've had luck in replacing their female vocalist in the past- but now the lead male vocalist is gone, those awesome harmonies just won't be the same
Troy and Floor has been sharing Markos bits between them. They are not replacing Marko
As you can see they dont chopped it off. They had a version without the ending. Unfortunately but not their fault i guess. They didnt know.
Also a very negative perspective on Marko's leaving. I mean we all feel sad about that but we should be open minded about new adventures and new talents. You have all the RUclips Videos and playlists do enjoy Marko's performances. So we are all lucky to have that. And i dont complain about his leaving. It is sad but understandable and i am looking forward to see Nightwish anyways. With our without Marko. =)

Marko is a vocal man god. His vocals in While her lips are still red, Endlessness, Romanticide amongst others are awesome. Not to mention Phantom of the Opera with the first Nightwish singer Tarja (pronounced Tarya).
Hey Nightwish Army, can we put some pressure on the person who uploaded the 17 minute version to remove it from his channel or at least replace it by a full version with end credits? Is that doable? one of my favourite books by dawkins interpreted by one of my favourite bands. the entire album is based on dawkins work weak fantasy being based on the god delusion and theres even references to christopher hitchens who is sorely missed.

Not your finest work lads. When you stopped at around 19 minutes and restarted the audio on did not come back properly. Also not rolling to the end or having the lyrics to hand has really lead you to miss a whole lot.
In the beginning Troy started off with a Low Whistle then he switched to the Irish Uilleann Pipes, Good job I just wish you had done the whole thing there was 4 min left
Kai Hahto is one of the best drummers at the moment. He comes from the band Wintersun. At the moment also Jukka Koskinen plays (instead of Marco) as bass player for Nightwish. He also plays for the band Wintersun. An absolute drumming perfomence of Kai is from Wintersun 'Sons of Winter and Stars' live rehearsal at Sonic Pump Studio. Absolutely recommend this song to react. Y'all need to look up Marko Hietala, the male singer. He has a band of his own, Tarot, which he formed with his brother back in '86..... His father was a musical teacher, so music runs in his blood naturally. Add that to decades of musical experience...

Therion, swedish band basically created symphonic metal. They started as a death metal band in 1987 and over the years changed the music into what is known as symphonic metal. Along with Nightwish they are the 2 biggest bands of this genre.

The first band that blew my mind on Symphonic metal was Rhapsody of Fire....although they used to flow on a more classic and even baroque style of power metal. You should try some of their studio albums! Try on their classic song "land of inmortals"!

Stuff like let it go from frozen, alone originally by Heart, Dangerous game which is from the Jekyll and Hyde musical, and many more. She also was on beste zangers which is a dutch TV show and sang Shallow (lady Gaga), Phantom of the Opera, and a lot other songs including one in Spanish and Vilja Lied is an operatic song in German if I remember correctly. Just thought I'd mention in case you aren't so into the heavier style of Nightwish but interesting in checking out more of her singing

First, for the sake of stars...stop calling Marko Hietala Odin! He's been at that beard game since he was in his 20s...good luck on your personal beard quest, tho. And Marko has training, but I dont think operatic...he is an insanely good vocalist on his own...you should check out Nightwish's Pink Floyd tribute, High Hopes...you'll see what Marko can do! And to hear him with Floor, try Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean.
Kai Hahto is the drummer here...I esp appreciate you calling him out...he is in the top 5 best of all time, IMO. He doesn't even realize when he's twirling his sticks...if you watch him on a drum cam or see one of his clinics...he's so insane to watch! He has no problem switching lead from his rt hand to his.left and back wo missing a beat. He is impressive!

Dominic DeNucci trained Moondog |Spot, Mick Foley, Sane Douglas and Brian Hildebrand. I think the band you were thinking of is Bring Me the Archers. There some great symphonic metal bands, Epica, Lacuna Coil and Within Temptation are just some examples.

This is basically the precursor to their latest album, Human Nature. There's a whole song for every theme they touched here. And a bit more. That's the album you should go into, as there's a video for each song.
