Because it depends on what they test for, our service uses a 8 panel test, and it does test for opiates, coke, THC, and others, but I know some that only test for brown, white and benzodiazepines, and to be honest they don’t care if people test positive for weed! I know exactly what services are like. It is a lot of ticking boxes, and often people end up in services for years. Like, people on heroin end up on methadone and then they can't get off either. I call methadone "liquid handcuffs" BUT it does help some people and they can offer a lot of support. He needs actual intervention, he needs therapy to address why he uses and to take away tools to apply to his life in regards to using, and also secure housing. Even if they have the best intentions, they don't have the relevant medical details or knowledge that comes with working in drug and alcohol services. It's also worrying that these people are mental and have crazy backgrounds! I agree with you entirely. It is nice to see someone with some fire in them but also intelligence and common sense.

I have 12 on the St. one female preg , I work vol for a homeless shelter, and I wish it was just as easy to speak to the drug councilors to get them off the St. I see them daily in steeping bags hanging about the shelter waiting for it to reopen.

Apparently, his rent was being paid directly to the landlord, but he was in shared housing and had a falling out with a housemate who was the nephew of the house owner. It wasn't anything to do with non payment of rent.

Scotty must be registered with a GP in the same area as his physical body. For NHS services and support networks. Otherwise, he only has access to A&E mental health or private.

Its become RUclips content now sadly. I admire you for doing what you feel is the right thing the right way 👍👍 However I don't think the kind of facility SG needs to be in is available. SG already had a councillor before Sheriff picked him up and he had been told to sleep under the metro bridge. I don't think its ideal for him to be in a shed or believe that he sleeps on the floor but i do think it was his best option at the time. Maybe you can find out? Severe lack of funding partially due to the reasons you pointed out in this video?

The system can help trust me and I'll prove it no matter what it takes for me and if I can't help him because he doesn't want the help then so be the case.
