- After taking delivery of my new Toyota Tacoma 2024 and only 3400 km my transmission decided to stop working. I managed to get it into the shop the analyze it and decided that it needed a new part that there was a leak, but I have been reviewing multiple RUclips videos From the United States and other forums that are seeing failure of these transmissions in North America. So take due diligence do your research and buy wisely.
Always gotta wait a couple years on new designs and engines.
UPDATE: 6 days and truck repaired. Toyota said it was a rear transmission seal. Will report any more issues in coming months❤️
5000 miles and my transmission just went out. At dealer now waiting for TAS to see what they are going to do. Trd sport automatic. Gears 1-5 stopped working . Just wow
So sorry to hear this… you might want to seriously think about trading the 2024 Tacoma in… not worth the risk my man!! Good Luck 👍
Is it a automatic or 6 speed manual transmission
@@davidchenette1091 sorry should have mentioned that mine is automatic but I have seen problems with the standard as well online.

Im on 5k babied it for first 1K and rest driven like I stole it . Automatic here and no issues so far..
