No, you will just have a USB installation media ready + activated Windows. You have to go through the same processes that Joey showed in this video after creation of the USB (i.e., booting into the media and installing Windows). It's much preferred to create an installation media USB of your own and then input a key that you bought online as the freshly prepared USB will have the latest OS so less updates (even though it won't be much of a difference if you have fast internet regardless), but yeah, I always prefer making my own USB and just using a key.

I'm just watching the video and I'm like, no way this guy has the exact same laptop as me, it's pretty cool.
Does windows or any files disappear on the old computer or does it just copy over windows installation files to the usb?
No. The tool doesn't affect your files on the PC its running on. It only downloads a fresh copy of Windows 11 and creates a bootable flash drive.
@@JJFlores197 thx
Thank you so much, I was having an issue putting windows on a SSD i wanted to reuse and to start from scratch on in a new built pc but keep getting error on windows setup and it was because of the partitions. I am really glad you included the part about deleting the partition in the advance setup instructions!
Been piling up parts for the last month and building my firsy pc tomorrow, thx for this tutorial so i can install windows 11 on the new rig!
Little tip:
If you download the file on your pc, extract the file onto the usb and open it from there
Just finished building my first pc and downloading this now THANK YOU!!!👍🏻
What changes we have to make in bios except "xmp profile" and "re-sizeable bars" is there anything else I have to do?
dude you do not know for how long ive been searching a video on this!!! iwas on zorin os and i hated it tso i wanted to come back and this did it!!1 thank you sooooooooo much
Thanks for this. I was being a complete numpty and looking for a setup.exe application and couldn't understand why it wasn't there. Appreciate your help in getting me upgraded.
Great video, I'm selling my gaming PC to a family member and downgrading from windows 11 pro to windows 11 home. Don't you wish there was an easier way from the Windows Update settings menu to do so.
I’m building a new AMD computer with a 4070. This is such a useful video to instal windows 11
Can the external disk with the media creation tool then be repurposed? or does it become useless (or only useful for that? after usage?
I have a problem, when i boot up to the flash drive it is stuck on the eindows 11 logo splash nothing else is shown on the screen other thsn the logo. Can you please help me get it unstuck
This may or may not help. Try updating the BIOS to the latest BIOS version. Sometimes a new version can help with Windows 11 install issues. If it still doesn't help, try remaking the USB installer.
Is there a website you would recommend getting an activation code from?
kinguin or sum like that
Will i still need a license key if i use this method? Going to be building my first gaming pc in a few days and was going to buy the product from amazon but a friend pointed me to this video and wasnt sure if it’d let me use windows for the majority of things i need without purchasing a license or if i’d still have to
So I’m gonna build a pc, and to download windows 11, I don’t need another device to download windows 11 on the flash drive and than import that into the PC, I can just do it all on the newly built PC?
Also another question after installing it on your new pc, can you unplug the USB?
I can't vouch for it since I've never bought one from him. But if it does work, which most likely does, then yeah it should just be plug and play. You don't need the USB plugged in after you install Windows. Its only used to install it. That's it.
you need another device to download windows
does this effect your performance?
wdym
Great video. I have a new (2022) thin client ‘Dell Wyse 5070’. Can I install windows 11 on this thing? I want to remove the Enterprise office software and use it as a personal pc.
Why does it say "this pc doesnt currently meet windows 11 system requirements" but you said I'd have no problem following your build guides?
I’m doing a clean Windows 11 install on my Dell Laptop. Do I need to format the flash drive to NTFS before I download the file on there? Also, what option from the Windows 11 will boot and install on my laptop?
No you don't usually need to worry about formatting. The tool will handle that for you. Not sure what you mean by that last question. You boot from the USB drive and go through the install process as he shows in the video
Dude, you should be in the Hollywood. You'll do a very good side roles
Quick question. I am building my PC right now, I only have a wireless keyboard and mouse, will this be a problem?
Using this video to install an SSD and OS onto my mom's computer, thanks for the help!!
W vid 🔥💯. Joey what mouse and keyboard you use on your other videos?
Thanks brother, second time I've used your PC build guides.
Thanks for making it clear, the other videos had me going in circles, yours fixed me up!! I have windows 11 now, thank again...
Once installed, does it require a Key? Or something on the screen will say you need to activate it?
Technically yes. You're supposed to buy a license for Windows. Unofficially, Microsoft lets you run W11 indefinitely without buying a license. You won't be able to personalize your PC and a watermark appears. other than that, everything works the same as if you buy a key.
Thank you so much for this! I got one of your USB's on your website (built my own PC and a previous Mac user) and I was pulling my hair out. It literally took like 10 minutes after I got the USB to get it installed.
Thank you sooooo much for this video.. you literally saved me a couple hundred not having to take in for repair or diagnostics to figure out the issue with my sons computer.. he’s definitely happy about the and not having to be without his computer for a couple weeks.
Wished life was this simple.
Thank you man.
What do I do if it says windows cannot install required files . The file may be corrupted or missing . Sorry my first time building a pc
Nvm fixed it!
@@anthonycalderon3767how did u fix it
Will you be able to get Windows updates with this process?
of course.
I’ve just gotten windows onto my usb and done this but when I reboot it comes up with a black screen with a flashing underscore at the top right ?
We’ve all sinned man. We’ve lied, stolen, used God’s name in vain, and more. We now need to repent and trust that Jesus Christ died for our sins on the cross. This is very urgent tomorrow isn’t promised. Our works can’t save us but Jesus can!
Is this the same for windows 10? I heard it runs better for games
Thanks this video is gonna be real helpful for when I install my new 2tb ssd. Tired of having to use this 256gb nvme ssd and the 2tb HDD that came with this desktop
