- Today I am playing as Latvia. No Step Back has added a new focus tree that lets us create a pagan nation with lots of military buffs. We're going to turn pagan and beat up some neighbours. Let me know what you like and don't like about the video. Also what should I play next?

Sorry if I'm being presumptuous, I'm not trying to be mean. It's missing just a bit of context, do you mean to say the countries next to the one he starts with? He normally doesn't do civil wars or get annexed himself.

Hats off to you then friend. I only know my native English. I've always wanted to learn German or Japanese, but I'm really poor and they only offered Spanish and French when I was in school. And well... no puedo hablar español bien.

You could do a great Patriach Russia and frorm the 3rd Rome. Or maybe do a new Byzantium run with the focus tree of greece
that's my favorite path and i never see anyone do it
He already did a video on Greece's BFTB focus tree where he formed Byzantium, and it didn't receive any notable updates with NSB's patch (it did get an update that allows Romania to cancel it's guarantee of Turkey if Democratic Greece goes for the Megali Idea, but that was before NSB dropped).
I'm not saying that he doesn't have any reason to revisit the Greek focus tree (he hasn't done a video on the other 2 formable nations Greece has - Greater Greece and the Macedonian Empire - and I think the former could be interesting if he went for it as a non-democratic Greece), but I'm not seeing much of a reason to revisit Byzantium specifically, unless he added another challenge (i.e., Cataphract Byzantium - form the nation using only cavalry and heavy tanks).
Kitten in Latvian would be "Kaķēns". Kitten division would be "Kaķēnu divīzija" and the kittens would be "Kaķēni"
Idk if it's a bug or feature, but in both my playthroughs as pagan Latvia, the very moment I turned fascist, Germany simply invited me to their faction even If I went the "alone" route.
It doesn't matter, Germans will invite you, because you don't have a debuff on lower opinion
Did you do this when the DLC first released because that happened to me too but I think it was patched.

I've been playing Lithuania a lot thanks to this DLC, I highly recommend them or Estonia!
The memel thing is a glitch, I think they ask Lithuania who no longer exists and as such they can't say no thus giving them the land.
The focus you bypassed to unite the baltics gives you 2 cores that you don't get when you do the decision so you should have done it.
I'm prety sure I got those anyway, but I'd have to check
@@Taureor you should have gained cores on the Belorussian core states in Poland.
@@Taureor It looks like you only had cores on Wilno, which is already a core of the baltic unitary state due to the Lithuanian claim. The focus would have given you more cores.
@@Taureor you don't get the cores if you bypass it. It's a bug i think.
I dare you to do challenge:Heavy tank only challenge rusa fighting unit can not consist of any infantry can of tank, motorized or mechanized but must have heavy tank in it. Also can not have any new airforce builded just what you start with.
the problem with tank only, is that tanks have 0 organization so you need either infantry or mechanized in there so you can get at least a bit of org
@@Prussia_ they get org in mobile warfare doctrine, also i think they start with like 10 org or so.
With NSB its cheesable
50xp for cheapest mechanized. 40xp for max armor heavies. Put one per mechanized. With mechanized being 20 widths(9 mech+1 tank)

You could try to do a rework of your old Spain retakes the american colonies challenge. I‘m very sure that this would be interesting to watch with the railways and massive focus tree.

i think fighters can be useful to stop the enemy from bombing your bunkers and doing logistic strikes
I think the Memel focus and others like that either still ask the original owner (in this case Lithuania) or they just default to yes.
If you for example take the Netherlands and puppet the East indies, Australia can ask for it through focus and just get it, you won't be asked.

Support AA is super effective to shove into every unit and it only costs a few factories.
You should play Yugoslavija again, you havent played it in 3+ years

I suck at this game I can get to the point where I get the countries to submit to me but I can never beat Polan fast enough even though I start same time. Probably has to do with not being very good at manually controlling the fight by time I am around Warsaw Germany jumps in. I will keep playing with it and trying to figure out. I also dont do as well against russia I hold them off but tried to move forward and could not really move forward on them.

I like that there’s an ability to bring back historical pagan roots, I don’t like that they have associated it with fascism, as a pagan that is disrespectful in my opinion
The game seems to reason that Nationalism is categorized under Fascism , and so going back to ancient (national) roots is considered Fascist because there's only 4 ideologies in the game and fascism in hoi4 functions as an umbrella ideology for all sorts of nationalism.
You CAN be pagan and non-aligned or democratic, you can flip after getting it
Actually I might be wrong on non-aligned, but you you can be democratic
Umm....the party and leader for the Latvian Fascists was an actual Pagan. His party believed Christianity was a foreign religion imposed on Latvians by Germans that had to be expelled, hence the most historical path for that party being the Anti-German path.

I think it would be really good at the End of each video to solve bordergore and to create "fictional borders that are real, like in this case you could have created a big Ukraine and Belarus, or liberate some nations that make some sense to be free.
