The challenge is to play as Latvia and annex USSR (The Soviet Union). It is a bit similar to my previous Lithuania challenge, but I will use a different initial strategy to make things more interesting. I will build up my strength and stay neutral between the Germans and the Russians for as long as possible until I attack. Can Latvia beat the Soviets? Tune in and find out.

I found your channel quite recently, but I can already say I 100% love your content. Your videos, while ~40 minutes, are some of the few 40minute videos I can sit down and completely enjoy. Instead of screaming like an idiot and using joke strategies like the other HOI4 youtubers, you have a very subtle style of humor, and you use actual tactics and strategies to pass. You have such high quality videos, it’s really a shame you don’t have more of a following. Although I’ll probably get lost in the comments, I still just wanted to say that I love what you do, and hope you get the recognition you deserve. Keep up the hard work my dude.

jack black they were good for a bit, but I think they just got too boring and repetetive. They make videos to make money, dragging out the video in any way possible (for instance, isp's intros are ~2 minutes long), and after a while nothing really stands out. Also, Alex has kind of a God complex. The only other hoi4 youtuber I've found that I can sit through is DrewDurnil, and that's due to his editing.
You just named everything I believe... I used to watch ISP and AlexTherambler but got bored of the same daily content. I used to watch and still watch DrewDurnil because he's entertaining and doesn't stretch out his videos. Even some of his videos I can't sit through but they're a lot better than the same stale sarcastic humor that Alex and ISP have.
Edit: I stopped watching them a while ago so I have no idea of Alexs' God Complex, what do you mean by a god complex?

As for Alex, I had tried to watch him. However, he had a vid called "Italy Loses it" or something like that while on stream the Italy player protested. Throughout the video Alex had continuously shut down the player, and put himself in a better light (even though he had used his Fame to take advantage of the other players). I went into the video expecting the Italy player to start screaming, but came out thinking "Alex is kind of a dick..."
I can clearly imagine that situation in my mind haha. Also as an Italian myself I don't take offense to the "Italian Hate" but find it quite repetitive when it's every video in the hoi4 community.
As a Latvian, I AM CRYING with happiness of a whole stuff here.

This is my favourite episode so far! I really enjoyed it. It’s crazy to see the Latvians take Russia. All though this will probably never happen in real life, this was very interesting to see ;) Love from Latvia and keep it up!

Very nice as always. Just a little tip to win peace conferences in SP. The key to making other countries give up their score is to block all their border access to the country you want to occupy and to block every port in the country you want to occupy. I'm 99% sure that is enough. If you really want to be sure also block all possible sea access. At least that used to be the way since the last time I played (about three months). Doubt that PDX reintroduced bordergore but you never know with those scallywags.
Another fine thing about annexing puppets is that you also inherit the (manpower of the) divisions they produced. Considering how many divisions best puppet Mother Russia produces that could easily be several hundred thousand extra manpower for you if you just delete those.

The not making certain allies is exactly how the challenge should work. Every really hard start I've seen done on RUclips they made it trivial through use of huge allies.

It is easy with pretty much all German states because lots of them are the same size and once you have invaded one german state, you are pretty much god as all german states have lots of manpower and stuff.

it was called the EMpire of the thunder cross, because thunder cross is an ancient Latvian folk sign that Germany just so happened to choos as their swastika
In eu4 you could try to form Rum (it is a country which can only be formed as Karaman (Anatolian minor))

Idea for a challenge in EU4: start as Navarra, ally someone strong , Castile and Aragon before the Iberian wedding fires (gold medal). If the Iberian Wedding Fires, beat Castile Aragon and Neaples and form spain (silver medal). If Neaples becomes independent, own all provinces in the world except the one that are under the control of Neaples by 1445

commie china is actually surprisingly easy as if u dont join nationalist china's faction then they dont annex all of the warlords and you can gang bang them with japan and all it takes is one province to be annexed to make you OP and then just gobble all of the warlords up. Later you can invade Japan with the soviets which is the hardest part but not too hard.

those would be hard yes but with a navy not as much. After japan they wouldnt be too bad.... except philipines. and No I'm not Prussian but my family comes from Berlin... so not Prussia proper but lands that were Prussian at a time and the capital.

The first few years are the hardest but if you survive you can colonialize the shit out of north armerica.
You can completly conquer Mexico in a few years and then use the gold and troops to conquer the british.
Germany wasn’t using their war goal due to them having no way to attack them without Naval invasions, even in La Resistance the AI hates doing no cb wars

EU4 - As a Moravia (Releasable from BOH) Get all of BOH land, become emperor and humilliate Austria in any war on hard or very hard diff.
I think that Paradox should make a baltics update for the baltic states and the nordics, giving them focus trees and such
Play as Germany, 1939 start date. Declare war on Poland as soon as possible, but you can’t do anything until 1940 starts. (No changing equipment productions, generals, troop movements, construction, etc)

If you do right click on the territory of another country, you can directly go to diplomatics options.

Great video. I still can't help being bummed about the fact you can actually do this in HOI4. Wish it was a harder game like previous HOI games or EU games.
I did similar things in HOI2 and HOI3 was not a game for me. As for EU4, I wouldn't say it's more difficult, just taes more time. Much more
