- After getting so many comments on previous video, here´s is Part II of my Top 10 LEGO Planes and their Military Equivalents.
I´m personally happy that we have these sets but LEGO only makes them in a disguised form which is a pity.
Unfortunately, once in a while some obscure and "unknown" societies try their best to remove these Sets because they are based on Military designs.

At this point I felt like LEGO should really redesign their v22 osprey technic set's gear box then rerelease it named as "Vertical take off cargo plane" or something.
I would buy it!
Its really sad the the v22 was cancelled.

The problem is, it’s too similar to the military equivalent. Lego doesn’t do military. The green and white Lego cargo v22 is all we have.

Welcome aboard! Don´t worry, I´m planning to make a lot more videos again. Because of my current work I was unable to upload as much.
The jet at 4:16 actually seems to be based off of an American prototype aircraft named the Northrop YF-23 developed by Northrop, meshed with an F-22 made by lockheed! They both share rather similar features in real life and is a very similar recreation.. save for the weird wingtips
The truth is at this moment, all Stealth fighters look almost the same. So its easy to modify them to resemble a specific design
I think it looks more like the X-32 only without the large intake
The supersonic jet looks more like the YF-23

The Air Race Jet is based off the Yakovlev Yak 141 which was a VTOL prototype jet that got cancel soon after 4 was built
You can see the similarities but the lego jet just doesn't have vertical stabilizer
Why do you say its the Yak 141 and not the F-35?
@@joaoonda you did say that it looked like an mig 25 and that it does have a vtol system
So the jet that came to mind was a yak 141
You can see the similarities from the jet exhaust, the air intake for the lift fan and the the cockpit and it's nose
@@Luft- yes but the Yak 141 had two engines behind the cockpit for lift while the F-35 has a fan like the F-35.
So in a way its closer to the F-35 overall

Some of those "similarities" are BIG huge stretches, but then some are even worse...
But one that is almost indisputable is Lego 60034
Dont say that, they aren't stretches, most of them are quite similar. 😀 Thing is, LEGO designers make them different to evade issues with brand onnership and the fact that they are, well, disguised military planes. But I completly forgot the 60034, that one is clearly a skycrane.
@@joaoonda A few of them really are big stretches. I'd buy you dinner and defend that any day, but the bigger point is that yes, Lego does do it.

You could modify it, offcourse. The engine exhausts are the only thing that need to be changed
For set 31126 it looks more like the YF23 black widow. Which was a concept plane going against the F22 raptor in the tender stage.

The "A-10" looking plane from creator reminds me more of a Polish TS-11 Iskra, with the tail fins of an A-10
It´s also plausible, it does bear a resemblance
I personally own the supersonic jet and, I think it's more of a mix between the F-22 and a F/A-18.

I had to look online what that set was, its as old as I am! And you're right! It has all the elements of the CH-54 Tarhe.

Set 76162 is probably the closest thing lego has to a military vehicle, also 76098 looks similar to a AH-1W Super Cobra
Well, it's certainly a gunship. But its difficult to say exactly which helicopter is. Still a nice design :)

Too different... two engines, different tail and fins... but hey, its LEGO, you can always buy a cargo plane and build a jet fighter or a helicopter with the parts 😅

There's also 1 from a dc set that i forgot the name of that includes a ww1 plane (like it actually looked like that)

It's the Sopwith camel set, it's literally a British ww1 plane, with Lego machine guns and everything
@@TheAutisticKiwi i was actually reffering to another set from the dc theme that now i know the name of ,it was Wonder Woman Warrior Battle(but the sopwith is also one of it so yea that counts)
@@TheAutisticKiwi I know that one but the idea of these two videos is to show planes that are "inspired" on real military vehicles. The Camel IS a military vehicle, not a disguised one :D

At 2:23 looks more like a T-46 than an A-10, both made by Fairchild, the T-46 was going to be a replacement to the T-37 but the fell to the biggest enemy of all, "Budget Cuts"

The first technic one looks alot more like the covair F-106 delta dart but extremely small and for the super soarer its probably a hybrid between a AH-56 Chayenne and a AH-1 Cobra attack helis.
If you see the wing and the nose, you will notice that its clearly the Tejas. The Delta Dart has a "perfect" delta, the model has a mixed angle delta wing
Don't know if anyone has thought of this but the Technic Air Race Jet in 3:50 looks identical to the Yak-141, a soviet jump jet similar to the harrier.
The Yak-141 has two lift engines, the model has a fan instead. So its the F-35
the air race jet actually looks more like the yak-141 vtol prototype.
I think now its actually the F-35. The Yak-141 has two engines behind the cockpit for Vtol take offs and the model has a single massive fan, like thecF-35
I just got the super sonic jet and I modified the cockpit so that it points forward and not down and to me it looks like an f22/f35 just without the back wings.I also removed the side wing things and if you recoloered it to gray added missiles and back wings then you get f35

I think the 60166 Heavy duty rescue helicopter looks a lot like a military helicopter, It's even a coast guard set, Which is part of the department of defense in the USA.

4:17. In the supersonic jet creators set the other options on the side feature a helicopter which looks similar to a Sikorsky s96 but with only 2 blades

2:20 it also reminds me of the P-80 (or F-80) shooting star
edit: i also saw this video on recommended, so maybe the algorithm is blessing this one too

A Chinook isn't necessarily used for war it's also used for recovery missions and heavy lift of objects such as a train collapse on tracks ect
Yes, you're right. But 95% of them are used as Military helicopters, so....

4:17 that jet looks more like the Boeing X-32 the massive air intake under it and twin slanted vertical stabilizer it looks almost perfectly like it minus the winglets
But the model doesnt have that massive intake under the cockpit. It has two smaller ones

Lego should just release military sets, there's nothing wrong with it, just label it as an adult set, like other hard to build or mature sets, and make a ton of money.

The orange and blue jet looks to me like the YF 23
It has some differences but yes it can be modified into one
The supersonic jet looks more like an F-22 Raptor if you take off the fins on the wings, I just don't see how it looks like a J-20 as there are no side fins on the front.
You dont have the tail elevators for the F-22 as well. The nose front with an angle more closely resembles the J-20 in my opinion.
But then again, all Stealth fighters are so similar...

Another set that you may find fun is the 2010/2011 Pharaoh’s Quest 7307 Flying Mummy Attack set. Biplane with RAF roundels and twin machine guns with drum mags
I know that one but it´s hard to know which plane exactly inspired that one. A Sopwith Camel? A gladiator? I think the only planes with machine guns mounted over the upper wing were the SE5 and one of the early Nieuport fighters. Any idea?
@@joaoonda the Nieuport 12 is a possibility, it’s the only one with a radial engine and a top mounted gun I could find

Both sets 60158 and 60034 feature helicopters reminiscent of the CH-54, aswell as 60093 having a 3 bladed rotor CH-47 Chinook
*Personal correction, more sky crane type helicopters exist, the sets may not strictly be based on the CH-54

3:56 Joaoonda that jet might be a Yak 141 the Yak 141 has characteristics of a f15 and Mig 25 but can also VTOL with the fan in the front and the exhaust in the back.
Or the F-35... its the closest overall...

So I was watching this video and I got an idea for the next episode because I found some more sets that could be something. I am not sure if those sets made an appearance in the first part of the series but I am still going to give them to ya. There are 3 creator sets and their numbers are: 31014, 31007 and 31008

The red rotors set is more identical to the CH-46
Sorry but I dont agree. The side sponsons on the red rotors extend until the nose like the Chinnok, the CH-46 has much smaller sponsons only on the rear.

nonono the 4:16 is the prototype of f-32 wich is a rival to f 35 while being a prototype but the model of lego is yf 23 and yf 32 hybrid

I have the Lego blue power jet, it looks more like a F-22 but I modified it to be a f-35
I also have the supersonic jet and looks like a combination of a x-32 and a mig-29 but I modified it onto a Av-8b Harrier jump jet
WOW, now that is a change for a plane, going from a X-32/Mig-29 to a AV-8 Harrier :D
