I picked up the RAF version of this set. It is the same build from what I can tell, just with a few more printed details which I really like.
The Amred Forces line is my favourite from Cobi, and I've got my fingers crossed for a Eurofighter or a Tornado in the future!🤞

I am adult guy who's now a fan of aviation. I just realized that the Lego toy i had when i was a kid is F35b. I was stupid to lost it😭. My toy is inspired by the most advanced and powerful fighter jet in the world. I just realized it because you just remind me of it. It's way bigger and complex to assemble.

The quality of Cobi is very good, a little bit better than Lego, but also has a slightly stronger clamping force than Lego and Cobi no longer knows stickers...all prints ;)*
Quality is so good, that it's nearly impossible to break down set after completing it. Hope you understood, I'm not good at english.
Cobi quality is better than that of Lego but some of the clips and mini figure hands should take some care.

Cobi advancing to stealth aircrafts
Cobi is literally selling four different versions of the F-35 at the same time (The A variant for the USAF and PAF as well the B variant for the USMC and RAF) and yet not a single one is an F-35C. Hope they make one soon for the navy guys which **ahem** totally not me btw.

Since carrying missiles outside of the airframe defeats the "stealth" aspect of the F35, I'm guessing the B variant is different from the A. Can someone maybe tell me what the differences are? Like is it still a stealth fighter or an air superiority fighter at this point?
The B variant is designed with STOVL capabilities.
Im no expert, but I believe the exterior weapons are a modification generally used in situations where stealth is unnecessary, as they allow more weapons to be held. All F-35 variants can be equipped with external weapons if needed.
A variant was made for Army and Air Force, while B was made for the Marine Corp. A doesn’t have a SVTOL engine capability (it can’t takeoff or land straight up), but it has an internal 25mm auto cannon. F-35B was designed specifically like the Harrier, as in it can take off and land anywhere.
Both are designed as multi-role(as in they can basically be ground or air-to-air), however A has higher weapons payload and a auto cannon.
