I retired from racing after the 2007 nationals here in the states. Watching the 2nd moto brought back the comradery of me & my buddies screwing with each other during some rather serious race series! 😂🤣😂 I absolutely miss it! Thanks for this video! Ya'll helped this 50 year old man relive some great memories and put a smile on my face plastic surgery can't remove! 😁
Congratulations to Sean for winning his British Championship 🏆 ! Congrats to Max for winning his first race back... Congrats to GasGas on building such a superb machine... Enjoyed the video, thanks guys...
Sean SLAMMED you and you deserved it 🤣🤣🤣 All jokes aside, holy crap Max I didn’t know you were *that* good of a rider, wow dude, you ripp!!! I already knew Sean is a legend 😎
How about a video of mod's to make the Slam as close to race worthy as possible ??? (The cheapest way possible) good challenge for you super smart guys and it might make it easier for people on a small budget to get into the sport !!! win-win-win I think.
This video shows you don't NEED any modifications... More importantly, It's just not worth buying a Chinese bike and modifying it. Youll lose Any money in parts you put into it, thats if someone else would even be willing to buy a used Chinese bike. You can buy a 1995 to 2010 mx bike for the same price and those would be more capable. Plus, youd be able to sell it.
Truthfully, not having gobs of down low torque allows you to ride the bike higher in the revs longer without it washing the backend out as easily. I would gander to say that if you did some playing around with the chain wheels you could find a combo that would give that bike a bit more grunt without sacrificing too much of the topend allowing it to be slightly more competitive out the gate. Good show Sean.
I'd have more fun riding the $2000 bike, and in fact buy two or three ( for immediate extra parts,)and take the remaining $14,000 and ride one to the southernmost tip of south America on a real adventure with the money saved. but that's just me. I don't need to chase others around any more to prove who has the "best" or "fastest bike" I just seek real adventures with more meaning. Full disclosure, I live in SE Asia half of each year and see Chinese bikes riding adventure and enduro all the time .. on a fraction of the budget.
Neat video on a cost effective bike. You should do a pit bike super mini shootout, honda crf125, kawasaki klx140, yamaha ttr125, suzuki drz125, SSR 189, YCF 190 Bigy, Kayo 140, Buscadero, and something "amazon special". Make it a Japanese VS the world type shootout
This was the funniest thing I've ever seen, you're a genius, I never laughed so hard in my life, it made Benny hilll look like a funeral. Oh my god you're so funny.. thank you for the good laugh. Tony Espinoza,
Fair play Sean, shows your fitness level. 2 classes and going back to the slam from the gasgas must've felt heart braking, so much harder work to ride the slam, so to come away with a 2nd and 1st given what you're up against is insane. Cracking riding
@999lazer just shows shauns level of skill. Really is a great rider. Thanks for the content, really had a smile watching that one. Hopefully I'll bump into u guys at nec bike show this year, assuming you're going
When going through tech seeing the competitor looking at Sean's bike (is he serious) priceless, then the resourceful Sean evens the playing field lol great fun, good video.
@nathanharris1445 nah. They're good. They're copies of 2013 ktm/Husqvarna frames woth Honda cf250 cloned engines. I've seen them woth 35,000 plus miles and still kicking ass. I have a templar x 250cc. I've done a lot of mods to it. It will rip it to 80mph. Shifts really smooth..
Although the Slam Bike is fairly cheap with a few years R&D in the race scene I wouldn't be surprised if they were able to turn out a competitive race bike at a budget price point which can only be a good thing bringing in more racers who would have otherwise been priced out of racing. (Not a MX person so I may be completely wrong)
😆😆 great & deserving move on Sean’s part👏👏👊 that was fun watching you Max have to come up from dead last. I couldn’t stop laughing when Sean got you😂 And Sean is just a beast even on the Slam👍
What a fun video !!! Congrats Sean on your championship run 👍 I love the kill switch trick - kinda a get even move on the 3 unknown envelops lol - I was calling the the slam cam " the Sean cam " what a fantastic ride for both of you racers !!!! I was smiling ear to ear through the whole video !!! I am purchasing a 2025 GASGAS 350 for next year !!!! Thank you guys for all the great moments !!!!
A fantastic video Max, you both rode well, but Sean raced his pants off to make that bike competitive, well done the pair of you, winner buy's the beer's, Cheer's max.
#JUSTICEFORSEAN lol, when the second forfeit came up im thinking, he already forfeited the back brake, that's gotta count lol. I absolutely love this channel, ALWAYS awesome content guys
Respring the Chinese bike with a Rr 5.4-5.8 Kg and front springs at .48-.52 Kg, and a lil revalve and then see what it can do with 18hp. The get one of the TM38's with the 298cc watercooled bike with 30-32hp. Same frame and plastics, better stuff, for $3000. Or go to aj1 and get one of their bikes at $4-$5 with even better stuff. There are some 2 strokes out now too that RIP!!! SSR, GPX, and KAYO, and a few other come to mind. The quality of these is outstanding. And the 2 BIG engine mfg companies are good. ZONGSHEN builds BEAST motors. I have 2. And a full replacement motor is inexpensive.
Ya know Max, I figure its only fair what Shawn did to you. I mean, after he got stuck with the Slam, couldn't use the e-start, got last gate pick and running with a full tank of gas, he had to do SOMETHING to even the odds a bit!!!😁😁
You two have cracked me up 😂. Poor sean, i feel for him, you could see it in his face , he was gutted every step of the way. Cold chinese for the British champ. Harsh Max 😂. Great video
Wow you did really well on that gasgas and surprising to see sean do so well on that chinese bike. I guess it really is 90% rider and 10% bike. Thats impressive. Im in a similar position phyically not in the best shape to race but i really do wanna get back into it. Its too much fun, that looked like a blast. I love these videos
Man Max I would love to see you Guys do this with aGPX FSE250 or a Kayo K6-R 250 Hell Even a Kove MX 250 all of them are so much more capable than that Slam....No matter what you guys proved that a decent China bike is capable and that riding ability trumps bike in the Amateur level. Thanks for a Great video and Cheers Mate !!!
Gas Gas is beautiful, Sean congratulations on the over 50’s Championship and the Slam showed it’s Worth very good Rider on it but how would You feel getting blown off buy a very cheap Motorcycle good on Sean and the Slam, next time see if You can get Your hands on one off the 300 Four Stroke China Bikes a much more formidable Machine great Video Cheers Mick Australia
Wish u had the new triamph. Also max u would of done the same if you was on that Chinese bike! Lol wicked entertainment from both! Specially seans strops 😂
Could you do a review of the 1978 kx 125 I had one back in the day. It would be at all the other 125s in our town, had electro fuse cylinder that just ran for years, a bad ass bike that I loved. Love to hear your thoughts. Thanks

Is that a typical MX track? I'm not being negative, just curious, as a lot of that is what our harescramble grass sections look like. I think it looks fun, personally!
Have you tried any other Chinese bikes? The Slam seems worth the money for someone on a budget, but there are no dealers in the US. Most Chinese bikes I've seen here won't take any serious riding and keep running.
no this is the only one we've tried, we've asked a few of the manufacturers of the higher spec ones (Kove, Koshine, etc) but they don't seem to want to play with us at the moment

Congrats to Max for winning his first race back...
Congrats to GasGas on building such a superb machine...
Enjoyed the video, thanks guys...
Thanks Glenn, it was a fun day :)
wheres the thanks for the slam?
I love what you guys are continuing to do! Between you fellas and Carson Brown, you are living the life that we all want to!
Sean SLAMMED you and you deserved it 🤣🤣🤣 All jokes aside, holy crap Max I didn’t know you were *that* good of a rider, wow dude, you ripp!!! I already knew Sean is a legend 😎
haha thanks, too much time behind the camera and not enough on the bike... but I'm doing my best to change that :)
One of the best long videos I watched in a long time
Thanks Scott :)
How about a video of mod's to make the Slam as close to race worthy as possible ??? (The cheapest way possible) good challenge for you super smart guys and it might make it easier for people on a small budget to get into the sport !!! win-win-win I think.
Good idea this one! Buy used forks n shock off a yam or something and little more power! I think budget £500 if possible
Something like that might get my old ass back on a bike again!
Plus, youd be able to sell it.
why the fuck would anyone that wants a quality bike buy a piece of shit chinese scooter when you can get a nice 2012 ktm for like $3500 or less
I'd imagine just upgrading the suspension would make a huge difference. Pipe, jets and airbox would probably add quite a bit as well.
Truthfully, not having gobs of down low torque allows you to ride the bike higher in the revs longer without it washing the backend out as easily. Best content on RUclips atm!! Smashing the game and making me want to get back into MX!!

Surely the guy with the better bike should have done the forfeits 🤷🏼♂️
We just thought if you're having a bad day, you might as well have a really bad day...lol
@@999lazer 😂
Sounds fun either way. I wanna ride the rm in the background at the beginning!!!@@999lazer
@@999lazerdo another video the other way round!!

两位水平真的很好,超车时游刃有余,非常轻松,即便前方有非常多车手的情况下,仍然能选择非常有利的的线路,真的羡慕国外的摩托车文化氛围,国内摩托行业依然处于水深火热的情况,一年比一年差。
I would say the Kayo r6 would be a better/fair test. Still a good video
When going through tech seeing the competitor looking at Sean's bike (is he serious) priceless, then the resourceful Sean evens the playing field lol great fun, good video.
thank you :)
Sean was wearing the ideal kit to match the Slam, great video guys
Im just amazed that a chinese quality bike lasted through the day and did well! I fully was waiting for it to blow up in a moto.
These new Chinese bikes copy older Honda air cooled engines that lost their patents is what I heard, so they’re kind of decent
@@ScoobyDo0. If thats true they not that Bad for for sunday trail riding lol. If parts are decent metal mix they gona last long enough
Progression is a matter of time and resources
Yes but over long term usage it's more than likely garbage

i have to say im really impressed with that slam 250 considering what its up against and for the money as well
Sean your a legend, riding that thing down them hills must have been terrifying at that speed
haha sean has balls of steel for sure :)

What a mint vid … loved it . Just goes to show “it ain’t what you got it’s how you ride it “
Thanks James :)
And yet another good example of the rider, not the bike..
Sean kicked some ass..
I would like to see a one on one race with both of them on a slam.
Thanks for watching Steven :)

Shawn is a awesome Guy and such a great sport .. I try to watch all of your videos .. Thanks for the awesome entertainment ✊🏼
Thank you very much for the support Shane :-)
That was epic good fun. Kudos to Sean's resourcefulness
haha, cheers Robert :)
i always say, RIDER not BIKE ! Great video
Thanks for watching:)
You two have cracked me up 😂. Poor sean, i feel for him, you could see it in his face , he was gutted every step of the way.
Cold chinese for the British champ. Harsh Max 😂. Great video
Your gear each suited the bikes better too this way too, so at least Sean had that going for him. Haha!
Nice killswitching though!
Shawn is Slam's new factory rider! Of course budget constraints limit the perks to: leftover Chinese takeout, and turning your own wrenches 😛
haha, he's always wanted to be a factory rider too :) Thanks for watching.
Its such good fun to watch you two. Great video guys!!
Thanks Harry :)
What a fun looking track. I wish we had more flat/enduro style tracks like this in Australia. Anything close to town is a full motocross track.
Great video as usaual
sean what a fantasic rider to get that slam going as much as he did
Max hope you enjoyed the gas gas 😂
I sure did, Thanks for watching Josh :)
Awesome riding. Well done Sean.
Glad you enjoyed it
Sean was ripping it. Couldn’t help but notice the tire marks under the Slam from bottoming out though.
Thanks for watching:)
Max: A good rider.
Sean: An amazing rider.
Is my take away from all this
Thanks for watching :)

You should put some new bits on the slam like ie suspension back and front but what a race
Its nuts that he went there on a Chinese pos bike and beat all the the top bands. That just goes to show you its about about the rider. 😂
The man on the Japanese bike knows how to ride hard for sure good job bra
When he was tapping the side of the bike after inspection 😂 That thing was making all kinds of noise. And he barely even touched it Jesus.
Next race, Slam VS my CR500.
Slam gets 30 second head start.
You just totally crushed Sean’s high from winning the championship 😂
haha, we love to make it hard for him :)
Got his revenge in the end tho 😂
Try and compare chinese kews k23 nx250 or kayo k6r or kove 250mx with europeian bike
Haha that was quality sean 😂😂😂
I have a wpb 190 beast and my dad has a 10ten 250rx and there both flawless no problems at all never missed a beat
I'd never race again that made me a slam fan
OMG, that was scrutineering!?😂. That's Hilarious.
Brilliant stuff!!!
thanks:)
For a older Gentleman That Guy Can Ride!
he be hungry b4 the gate drops
Sean doesn't need enemy with a friend like that hahaha
haha :)
Hilarious video guys!!

haha, there's no chance I would have done as well as Sean on the slam :) Thanks for watching Ben.
I've been thinking, you build awesome 2 stroke engines, why not build some engine for 4T. That slam 250 with more power looks fun
Thats a hell of a big track
great race can't believe he won on that bike he really send it on the china bike
haha yeah, fair play to him :) Thanks for watching.
Poor Sean!…… I feel we should set up a go fund me page for him to go on vacation (holiday) after that beating
haha, thanks for watching :)
Scrutineering didn't look very thorough!
Could you do a review of the 1978 kx 125 I had one back in the day. It would be at all the other 125s in our town, had electro fuse cylinder that just ran for years, a bad ass bike that I loved. Love to hear your thoughts. Thanks
Just started watching this 2nd time now like it alot live in UK and looking for moto classes do u no any
Great commentary
Are all the tracks over there that narrow? Not many jumps either.?
Shawn is impressive on that Chinese bike my hats off to you sir. 👍idc what anyone says that’s damn impressive that that bike held together and with a great rider like Shawn it can be competitive and it’s bone stock.
Thanks 👍
You guys should do the same thing except you should use the ssr 300
love this video
great video
Glad you enjoyed it
You qualified for group A but steal the win of group B
Great raceing .
Where’s the RM 250 bro, and what have you decided to do with it.
its still here and brand new...at the moment... :)
I had a brand new Honda XL-250 (headlights) back in the 1970's. It seems to me that bike had 18 hp. On the street I could get it to 55mph but it WOULD NOT go 56. :)
You could not pay me to own or even ride that Chinese bike. I would never have been able to live down the teasing from my buddies.
Brill lads
Think I’ve been to the races about 3 times now then seen your vlogs and realised I was there. You got anything else planned long buckby / Toddington?
I'm sure we will be back. Both clubs run an awesome meeting, we really enjoyed our time racing with them both.
I gotta get my money up so I can drip out my bike with trick bits.
Great video
Thanks David :)
What a fantastic video 🇬🇧👍
Everyone laughed at Japan in the 70’s and early 80’s. Today, when you think of quality, reliability, and performance, you look to Japan. Is that a typical MX track? I'm not being negative, just curious, as a lot of that is what our harescramble grass sections look like. I think it looks fun, personally!
$2000 what a deal specially for a novice racer. For trail riding cant really go wrong I don’t think.
Have you tried any other Chinese bikes? The Slam seems worth the money for someone on a budget, but there are no dealers in the US. Most Chinese bikes I've seen here won't take any serious riding and keep running.
