The "don't go"/"no witnesses" warning was so ominous it went over my head when I watched as a kid. Not sure what they were trying to imply but had Blanche gone with him on the fishing trip things could have gotten MUCH darker and more messed up than it already was here
This episode hits home for me. I was in an abusive marriage for 22 years. I finally got out of it after meeting a wonderful man that I eventually married. He was my best friend in the world, and he helped me through those hard times. We both lived on opposite coasts, and he sent me money each month to tide me over until he could move out here. I was happily married to him for nearly 20 years. I lost him very suddenly three years ago, and I miss him so much! 💔😭
I went through the same thing i married young I had no home i lived with him so I felt trapped also once upon a time he was absolutely wonderful i loved him to my bones but obviously it didn't last and the hardest thing to do is leave 💯✨️🦋
I'm so sorry for what you have been through and for your loss. I'm happy you found someone so wonderful and a love that lasted for two decades. I hope you continue to find strength and joy in all of the good memories you shared together. 💕💛
You couldn't pay me enough to go skydiving. 🤣 My sister and her husband did it once, and good for them, but I'll NEVER do it. I already had a nightmare where I was falling towards the earth, I don't need a live-action recreation! I always appreciated how, even though Dorothy started off enjoying Blanche getting yanked around by Rex, once she realized how much Blanche was getting hurt, she began speak out and try to help her friend. Dorothy even kept on trying to help even when Blanche started insulting and dismissing her, which is admirable. Dorothy could tell Blanche was in serious danger and wasn't going to let any petty feelings get in the way. One sad detail is that at 9:27 when the doorbell rings, Blanche jumps in a way that clearly shows she's starting to get nervous and scared around Rex. She was just too proud to admit it. :( Man, I hate Rex, he was the WORST man Blanche (or possibly any of the girls) ever dated. People like him are NOT worth it. NEVER make excuses for them. NEVER waste your time on them. Again, they are NOT worth it. I did like how Dorothy (definitely the MVP of the ep, yes) stood up to Rex and gave him the telling off he deserved, though it was really scary how Rex actually got physical with Dorothy. Thankfully nobody got hurt, and it was what got Blanche out of the relationship. Heh, and WOW, Alexxa, I think that's the first time I heard you swear! Calling Rex an a-hole. 🤣 Not that he didn't deserve it, lol.
I don't really know how true it is but I did hear or read somewhere the actor that played Rex really had a hard time doing this episode and was really uncomfortable with what he had to do to Blanche and Dorothy. And that's a good thing. I think as viewers we probably don't really look at or think about the effect that doing that stuff probably has after the fact. Somebody has to be the villain somebody has to play these roles but.. it's probably so uncomfortable as an actor.
I'm always curious about the actors who play characters like that. It actually is reassuring that he didn't like doing it, but that does make his performance all the more impressive. The guy was obviously a professional.
I find that the most decent of human beings can play the most convincing villains. I think this is because they could get in touch with their feelings of justice and play the most monstrous people they can envision. Props to them for keeping their sanity and continuous displays of love for humankind. It's not easy to play someone this despicable.
Sometimes those roles too really affect their career or public opinion I like Bonnie Bartlett watching her on Litlle House on the Prairie but playing Barbara Thorndyke a lot of GG fans hate her especially if its the first or only role they seen her play Michael Ealy may be a cool guy in other things but many hate on him for what he did in “For Colored Girls” and Lupe Ontiveros never lived down playing Yolanda Saldivar people still hate on her in other roles even tho the actress has since passed away and was the nicest person in real life
as much as I enjoy, the funny moments of the episode, I mostly skip the scenes, that include s**mbag Rex. can't stand him, hate him, worst male character on the show.
I love your Golden Girls reactions. It’s hard to believe that you’re almost done with the series. I look forward to see what you’ll react to next.
The Golden Palace!!!!

Dorothy was 💯 the MVP 💛

@@ravenpoe7093 I know. My heart breaks for them. People get so emotionally invested in these characters they forget that they're only acting.
@@ravenpoe7093 That is sad. :(
And Miles outlived Paul Newman …but he doesn’t have his own spaghetti sauce 😂
This is one of those episodes that’s hard for me to watch like the one where Blanche’s daughter is verbally trashed by her bf.
Love this episode! I’m so happy you’ve stuck reacting and posting the whole show ❤ Can’t wait for you to start Golden Palace on Patreon 🏩❤️
Me too!! I can't wait for Golden Palace! Thanks for watching 💛
Right on with your last comments about your MPV Dorothy 👍
Oof. I forgot about this episode. Probably because it's a hard one to watch. All the gaslighting and demeaning from Blanche's date is just grueling.
Awesome reaction ❤❤❤
Love all your reviews. The show aside, I love your Shield shirt!!!!
Thank you!! I loved the Shield (still hoping for a reunion someday 😉). Thanks for watching 💛
Rex was awful. I really liked the relationship between Rose and Miles
Blanche Rex Dorothy Rose thrills Miles
Now we know where Rebecca got it. It’s sad when some traditional upbringing can cripple a person’s self worth.
You can have "traditional" upbringing and still have a backbone.
@ seems someone has to hand it to you for you to act. Not everyone has that option.
U gotta start reacting to 9-1-1
I've already watched it! I was sick and put it on, watch 7 seasons in 3 weeks, and caught up to the 8th season! It's SOOOOOO GOOD!

Your over reacting
Jeremy from Blanche's little girl is the second. Like the actors, but hated their characters.
