Your calm, serious “I’m a 27 year old man and I almost pooped myself earlier this year” comment killed me 😂
Hahahaha
Please Milanote keep supporting him so that we could see more beautiful and artistic content like this. 🙏 dude your awesome.
look at you now Danny! so proud of you. From shorts to full length feature film!
This couldn’t have came at a more perfect time. Planning out my first proper spec work film and on the phase of writing a storyboard for all of it and this really helps getting more insight on how to do that. Keep it up!
It's unbelievable that this wealth of knowledge is available for free!
As always, this video has been quite insightful. Keep up the good work Danny and I look forward to your next projects.
Thank for sharing Danny, really interesting approach.
Starting to shoot on C200 (and BMPCC 6k) made me to start story board almost everything I film these days - mainly because the raw files are so huge that you can’t afford to run around shooting anything you wish (like I did with EOS R for example), but as a result it just shifts focus on a pre-production giving more structure and consistency and just in general making me a better filmmaker.
Thank you man!
Hi danny i needed this. I am planning to shoot my first passion project inspired by you this december. Thanks for inspiring us. Love the shirt!
Thank you! And Goodluck!!
Currently one of my favorite youtubers, your short films are really enjoyable and the picture quality is amazing absolutely love how you color grade your videos. I am pretty new to filmaking as a seriuos thing, I've always loved it but just recently I decided to start properly learning and start looking at it with a more profesional eye.Your channel really inspires me and I learn a lot from you. Keep up the amazing work Danny
Can't get enough of your videos. Love watching and rewatching for inspiration and reference. Your shots are so beautifully composed! Thanks for sharing your knowledge
Thank you so much!!
I love how humble you are. You say you're by far not the most experienced or professional person but you've gotten to the point where you're inspiring people from not just at a beginning standpoint but also a professional one. For the record I think you're at the professional one.
Thank you man!
Such an amazing short film. After I watched it, I was thinking about it for a long time. Also appreciate you putting this BTS to give us an idea of the thing. Hopefully, I am going to make some short film soon. Thanks!
Your content is such a gem! Thanks for letting us see your workflow, it's priceless!
Thank you man!
Danny I just want to say that you're amazing. Amazing how you create ever story and film🙏🏻💪🏼.
Every Monday ready to watch. You're my biggest inspiration thanks for inspiring :)
Danny, i've been waiting for this video for sooooooo long! Its gonna help so much+
Haha glad I made it then! Thanks!
Thank you for this fantastic walk-through! The video itself was amazing and I really like how you explained the process. Getting more and more interested in filmmaking after a few years of making simple travel videos and your videos are just so insightful. Definitely going to focus on doing some projects like this in 2022 to level up my filmmaking skills.
This is one the most educated and needed videos I've ever watched. Definitely needed! Thank you Brodie!!!
Love this breakdown Danny!
Thank you!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! This video was amazing!!!
P.S. Love the LUTs. Really helpful!
Im planning to get those LUT too.
Glad you like them!! Thank you!
You introduced me to Milanote in an earlier video - changed my life. It has improved my client experience which I now charge more for and the finished product of the videos and photos are better. Thank you for sharing your process. Also, there were small details in the video that I didn't know until I watched this BTS video. Congrats on the spec ad - it was awesome.
Great breakdown Danny. Thanks for sharing your process!
Thank you Danny!
Great work Danny, thanks for sharing
Perfect timing
Thank you, Danny! You're so inspiring!❤️❤️❤️
Thanks man!!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
You got it right the first time :) Sometimes I think I’m learning more with you than in my film school. Thank you Danny
Man at least one time in every video you make a point that hits home for me - in this video - it's that spec work is for those creative muscles, not necessarily for the brand to see. Cheers Danny!
Thank you man!
This might be the most valuable video I have every found. You're amazing and I'm so grateful for your videos!
Thanks so much man!
Thanks so much for taking the time to help us man! It's amazing to see how deep the planning goes. Part that opened my mind up was "what if we show how he pooped his pants" lmao genius. You're an amazing filmmaker and a great inspiration! Keep it up
Hahah thanks man!
Great video! But more importantly love your honesty and all around personality. Keep it up man, need more people like you in this world.
Danny, you´re a legend. Greatest inspiration for me!! Thanks for all your breakdowns ❤️

Thanks danny! this is great timing for me as I'm in the middle of storyboarding my first music video :)
Great info. Got a few great ideas from this for my first mini doc about to start to shoot about my friend!

Great content and thanks for sharing the breakdown. Valuable stuff!
Man! you inspire me. Love you bro !🖤🏄🏻🤙🏻
On my plate today was creating a storyboard for a brand video. I hated my old way of doing storyboards so I am going to give this a try! Perfect timing
Heck yeah! Glad i posted it today!
Alwyas super helpful! Thank you ✨
incredible!
So so good man 🔥 amazing video ❤️👏
epic short film. its really inspired me the most.
Literally the perfect timing, thank you so much for this useful tips!!
Glad to hear that thank you!
Incredible breakdown. I've come to a point in my career where I'm transitioning from commercial work to short films/documentaries like I did when I was a kid. The creative burnout I've experienced has been challenging, as I've been documenting the journey, but I'll be sure to try this process out to see what sticks.
Thanks man! Just keep pushing on through it
what are the pros of short film/docs? vs commercial work? can one make money
awesome explanation. That details of Mark running infront of the car, the interview shoot of the parents, all A++ class. well done Danny
Thanks man!!
Very helpful to watch! You made me start milanote. I have used it for many projects now and even showed clients parts of the planning. This has made me land jobs. so thank you
Thank you man!
Thank you for this video 🙂
You always inspiring me, Danny. Seriously, I'd love can find your channel :). Your vids helped me to solve and develop the pre-production for my final test at college, big thanks from your fan! Hope me can graduate next year and be as good as you to inspiring creative people!
Thank you man!
Thank you for always giving us free lessons on very valuable information. I hope you make more short films!!!

Goodluck on the shoot bro!
Good stuff Danny!
Thanks as always man!
I could watch a year’s worth of BTS on just this little film Danny, and be happy 🤗🙏. I’m interested in how you find/work with actors too. Now you’ve motivated me for milanote too …
Amazing! Thanks so much!
Dope video !! Again
Thanks man!
Milanote is amazing!
Great video Danny! My FX3 and Sigma 24-70 arrives tomorrow, have my spec ad in the works so all ready to go. 😁
Enjoy it man!
Love the breakdown, this will help me with my ideas! I always had a problem putting it on paper because I can’t draw. I think I may try Milanote soon I had the app for years and never used it.
Thanks man!
Nice video and very informational!
Thanks Karel!
🔥
Hey Danny, great video! Man, where do you find these examples images to use on your outlines?
Showing how the budget looked really helped me a lot. I'm in the middle of shooting a spec myself, but, because it's my first one, I don't have the money to hire actors or crew, so it's all free work. Hard thing with that is scheduling. If money isn't involved people can't drop what they're doing, especially since I'm doing this for free. Might have bit off more than I can chew with this first project but I'm learning! :D
Haha I didn’t always have budgets either so I feel you
okay great shirt too!
Love Milanote, just can't wait till they add a better zoom feature!
💥💥
your too cool thank you im trying to write a script and story board but ive been struggling
I never pooped my 👖. 🤣 Insane work man. Truly inspired.
Damn Danny… Those curls are Buttery my friend ✊🏽😎
Hahahah thanks bro
Milanote has changed my life
Such a helpful video Danny! Also, please wear more shirts like this 🤙🏼
Thank you brotha!!!
Always there when we need you most. Thanks for this Danny! You motivate me every single time!
PS! Was the shirt you that you and Mark both wear part of the budget? Or is this something you already had? Big fan 😂
Haha this was his body doubles shirt
@@DannyGevirtz That’s the kind of insider baseball we’re all looking to know!👉😎👉
I don't know if we see the painful way to drawing or just the fragile soul of an artist. :)

Loved this Danny!
Also your hair looks great, you should keep the cap off more often :)
Thanks so much!
awesome vid
Thank you!
thanks for answering my question :) i saw you almost chose to answer the FX3 Autofocus question ha! (it's in milanote lol)
Haha it got cut for timing purposes but yes I used the autofocus it’s so great
Everybody loves this video clearly! 410 likes and no dislikes - your the goat Danny
Hahah don’t worry the haters are on their way
@@DannyGevirtz how anyone could dislike this is beyond me lol
Would love to hear more about lighting for this particular piece. It looked like it was pretty minimal, but would be interested to hear how you plan for lighting conditions.
Amazing video as always!
Thanks man! Mostly natural / bouncing/ and one source for interiors
“Boom, look at that” -Danny Gevirtz
I see those snazzy cameras in the background Danny ;)
Context with the shirt from the short. Nice touch
I love your shirt.
Your hair bro 🔥
Actually really love Milanote, It's actually how I plan all projects. Why does this sound like an ad.
Double 👍
Cool shirt!
