I love this car....I have the orange charger, set up like the General Lee.....dixie horn and all......and the 70 Chevelle.....they are a blast to drive......debating on adding this one to the collection....👍
First body shell to grab my attention, and with the headlights Wow if money wasn't so tight this body would be on the way to my house! Really Love this setup! The Super Charger even looks good not cheesy like to many!! Sweet Car!
I wish they made a 1968 ...It had the round tunnel lights in the rear , I had one so I'm bias , toward the 68 ... Still this 1970 is an awesome looking Model
There are absolutely people running these out of the box on 3s. The big question is how long will the motor take it? All my digging and what I can figure is, Hobbywing made a cheaper 3652 4000kv for them.
Super scale looks with those tuck-away headlights, and the four great big black and silver body posts and clips sticking out right through the roof and hood.
Great video! I finally got my headlights working on mine last night. I was just on your site ordering this servo to test because all of the sub-micro servos I tested didn't work, except the Reefs 99Micro but it is overkill for this application. I tried the Axial servo, FMS, two different Emax and didn't have any luck. The closest I came was with an FMS and shoving o-rings and double sided tape in to try to get it to bite. Your plastic bag option looks like it worked much better. I may go back and try the FMS one again with your bag trick.
Hey Tony! I did the same thing but never tried the Reefs, good idea on that! All the other splines were not even close though, so the bag was our last resort, and it took 2 squares in the end to really fill in the horn. -Brett

Hello, When you purchase this RC car, in the Radio Controller, will I be able to get the option for Turning ON/OFF LED lights? Or is it a separate feature?
i love my mk2 but stock or jobber tire i have problem with ballouning does hoons do some tire for that modele cause stock or any tire i tried explod easy or cant do more then one battery pack ty amain!!
You running 6S in that thing!? I'm surprised to hear the tires balloon. The hoons are belted so they don't balloon but they're 1/8 scale sized and wouldn't fit the Fazer Mk2. You might have to try belting the tires yourself, buying some that are not glued then adding strong tape to the inside before assembling and gluing them. -Brett
I just bought this model from amain due to this video. Is there a way to hook up the LEDs so that it turns on with the headlight bezel operation? I assume there is a splitter wire that might let these operate together?
Congrats on the car! Unfortunately im not sure you can hook up the led's and headlight hoods together, I think they need to be separate and independent functions because of their power; the hood servo needs 6V all the time, the LED's only need power when illuminating. Maybe, if they were powered together, the LED's would always be on when you power the car, but you would still have control of the headlight hoods. Just an idea. I don't know of any accessory to join the two functions. -Brett
I want to get this rc I need the chassis only I have 6 channel remote and receiver from dumborc. I'm planning on doing a body look from a video game car to a rc version.
I'm thinking of getting one of these, but trying to figure out about the 10 leds . Does Kyosho sell a kit or is it a DIY sorta thing? I really want to run the leds and the micro servo.
They don't sell a kit, instead they offer these packages to configure the LED's however you want: www.amainhobbies.com/kyosho-fazer-parts/c15466?s=led If you search the web, i've seen body kits for that body that appear to be all-in-one kits. You can wire multiple LED strings together using a Y-Splitter like this one: www.amainhobbies.com/eflite-t28-servo-yharness-efl08261/p1252429 You could connect one Y-Splitters into the receiver for power, then connect another y-splitter into each connector on the original y-splitter, which will connect a lot of LED strings! Hope that helps. -Brett
@AMain_Hobbies Thanks for the reply, it's really weird as that car takes up to 10 leds , but no kit for it lol. It's potentially alot of wires to get tangled in the drivetrain. I just did my wife's 57 Chevy Fazer, I'm looking at the Charger, but kinda want to know what I'm getting I'm too. I did a Dragon lighting setup on my Trx4 Bronco, but I don't want to go that crazy again on this car, it really doesn't have much in the way of mounting for lights and wires.

A little late to the game but just picked this up as my first real R/C car, so I'm kind of a noob to this. With so many lights, do you have to splice those into one harness and plug it into channel 3? If you add the sub-micro servo for the light covers and add the LED lights, are you again splicing those together to use for just channel 3?
Well, you only have one open channel to use on a switch, and the rest you can use a Y-splitter. Plug in the headlight cover servo to channel 3 by itself so you have independent control. Then with the actually LED lights, you can use a Y-Splitter to plug them into Channel 1 or 2 for power. You could Y-splitter the LED's on channel 3 too, so they'll only come on when you flip the switch (or that's what I think will happen). You can find these y-splitters in a bunch of different sizes, and you can use one to connect the front and rear LED strings together, and another y-splitter to connect that string to one of the channels. www.amainhobbies.com/western-robotics-6-servo-ysplitter-extension-wrl-yexten/p193542 -Brett
