Casio MRG-G1000D-1ADR MR-G G-Shock - short review

This is my short review of the top of the line G-Shock, the MR-G G1000D. You can find all kinds of information about this watch online and among the core G-shock collectors' community.
This is just my 2 cents on what I like about this watch and what I dislike about this watch. Hopefully my review will add something to the discussion of this watch, which you might not otherwise have heard or seen in other reviews.

Beast of a watch with a proper bracelet. Seiko should design their bracelets like this one. Nice one.

I have the G1000 too in DLC. I haven't taken it off since I got it like a year ago. Your X factor point I think are right on. It not really formal event but its great at everything else env. and dress up or down. Imo while you don't have to be it is designed for an active wearer to go where you go when you need to go.

Very fair review. 👍 I also like the construction and finish of the case and bracelet is great, but the dial are hands are missing a little refinement. Also I don’t quite like the 24 min STW for the movement.

I agree. The 24min/hr scheme on the stopwatch and timers is silly

My Citizen e820 and Skyhawk allow to re-calibrate arm positions in case they get thrown out of alignment.

If you are asking, if I could own only the mrgg1000 or a grand seiko, I would probably choose a grand seiko because of the versatility.
