Great review, but the MR-G(the more expensive one) does have GPS like you said, but does *NOT* have Bluetooth connection like you also said.
the sub time dial is in 24H. the alarm you set was for 6 AM not 3 o'clock (unknown AM/PM)
Great idea for the video. I've tried the aged MTG-S1000 and the weight is noticeable. I've never seen a MRG apart from pics. For the price I think the MTG is great, you get a Yamagata Japanese produced G-shock that's affordable, I like to think of it as the 'value/budget MRG'. I don't think I'd take the leap of faith to buy an MRG yet.

Mistake on second 04:03 “bluetooth technology”, this is incorrect!
Mistake on second 13:43, GPS vs Bluetooth: the MTG does not have GPS functionality, however it has Bluetooth, that's how it connects to your phone. Mistake second 15:51, the watches are NOT in sync as per your suggestion... one watch was manually set vs the other set via phone app or connectivity, or both were set manual, either ways the time does not match. My take on this is that you should prepare better, write your script, edit and nail it... then go live. Nothing personal... constructive comment. Thanks for the efforts anyways.
I agree. I hope he knows what the GPS is actually used for. I dislike it very much standing outside for 10 minutes at a time in RC T+P mode because my watch keeps missing the Multi Band sync at night. lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I paid £2400 for mine. It is is now retailing for around £2900!!
I have the MTG-G1000D-1A2JF. I love it. Travel with it and always has the exact time. It’s been in three oceans. Weight doesn’t matter. I wear it to camp and to nice dinners. I’d rather have it over a submariner or a sea master.
I have this MRG and an old one from around 2007. Both beautifully well made but still rugged watches!

MT-G for the win. Unless I had bottomless pockets, there's no way in hell I'd buy a $2600 g shock. You can find titanium and DLC coatings on watches costing far less. For $2600, I'd get me the MT-G, and with the left over money I can still get me a nice Swiss automatic.
Didn't you just set the alarm for 6pm instead? Since that's a 24 hour subdial?

not worth the price point. MTG is more reasonalbe. Matreial isn't worth the value and you might as well get a mechanical watech like SInn or with that money, get a Seiko Astron.

I would go for an MTG on a resin strap, I think. With the MRG, the bracelets are finished well enough to be desirable.
If you can afford it, MRG is the winner. It's more sophisticated and luxurious with a much better-built alloy.
With that said, the MTG isn't slouched either as it has almost everything the MRG has except GPS on the features. $900 VS $2600 is less than half of its counterpart so, it depends upon one's affordability and value weighing.
I have the MRG for I think it's worth the extra $$.
If I may ask, where did you buy it? I am considering getting one for myself, but I am so afraid that I might get a fake one.
@@sjh7782 There are quite a few Casio authorized dealers here in the US selling genuine G-shock. You may want to google it.
@@TheBkktocal I checked few dealers authorized by Casio, seems like MTG & MRG is not that popular in US. I don't see too much models offered by them.

Does these bluetooth tech of these 2 watches always turn on by default? i know the MR-G has the airplane mode function but not the MT-G.

The old MTG G1000GB has the same exact functions as the MRG and also has DLC coat. It is easily mistaken as a MRG and was a Limited Edition model. see: ruclips.net/video/kFy4to0zl54/видео.html
Casio has discontinued this Limited Edition MTG G1000 GB to maintain product segment and standing of the MRG G1000. This is a pity as the MTG G1000 GB is almost the same as the MRG G10000

@@tomjohnson994 I m quite disappointed with the newer MTGs, as Casio removed the GPS functionality n also made the watch smaller. It lost that indestructible metal vault look....so this MTG is my last n only one

Does the MRG locking crown has a little bit of play? I noticed even it's locked the mrg crown has a little twist.
Thank you! Lol. I bought a used one and wondered if the previous owner had damaged the crown because of what you just said. I think it’s supposed to be that way. Even the fact that the crown moves side to side a bit when pushing it in had me thinking something was wrong. I noticed though in some reviews that when the reviewer pushed the crown back in, the crown would “move” like mine did, so I guess that’s how it is. With all that said, I do think the crown is finicky, when pushing it back in after pulling it out to the second click, for example if I wanted to just push it back to one click, it would 9/10 times push back in completely even when I was trying to be careful to only push it back to the first click.
Hey man, love your videos. Saw your previous real one vs fake one, love it! So I am wondering is there anyway that I can distinguish the real one from fake one for these MTGs? And, any place I can safely buy a real MTGs? Appreciate it.
Sijie Huang I haven't seen many if any fake MTGs. I don't think there's much to worry with that specific model.

Sijie Huang that seller has over 13,000 feedback. I think it's good. That model doesn't sell very well in the USA. That's why the price is so low.

I go for MTG that is why I have one.. for me the structural design for mtg is far more durable than mrg as you can see not only blue tooth connection the mtg has a logo of triple g resistance which means this watch can resist vibrations, gravitational acceleration and centerfugal these are the main reason for choosing it

I hate that the “reviewer” said that, and didn’t correct himself even after he reviewed the other color to this watch, in which he listened to the comments and wore gloves and didn’t *not* say that the watch in that video(that’s like this one) had Bluetooth.
I bought one of these watches about a year ago. I have watch collections. I kept it in the box for about a year and now that I took it out today it’s not working it was a brand new watch when I bought it. Would you have any ideas why it’s not working?
william simin battery is completely empty... it’ll need somewhere between 3-24 hours of sunlight to get it back on.
