- My customer Jay ordered this awesome G Shock MRG-G1000DC-1A, and because one doesn't often get their hands on a MRG, I asked him if he minded if I did an unboxing and up-close for you guys.
Jay was more than happy to allow me to do so.
First, let me start by saying that the quality and attention to detail with regards to the case, bracelet, bezel, dial, etc are OUTSTANDING!
And for being such a large watch, it is extremely wearable due to its' titanium construction and fully articulating lugs.
Some of my favorite functions are the GPS AND Atomic (radio) automatic setting. This watch will auto adjust the time based on your location without having to do a thing. I heard a reviewer say "this is a set it and forget it watch", and I couldn't agree more. Take a flight overseas? When you land, the MRG G1000 will automatically adjust for the different time zone.

Very cool for all the reasons you pointed out. I particularly like the attractive color tones. The titanium with he copper and what looks like a purple-ish hue on that dial are an attractive color combination.
Beautiful watch and a very down to earth and quality review. I remember Casio having the very basic and boxy looking digital watches that kids wore to school.
Who knew they would ever come so far or produce such and array of different models, quality and price levels?
I own one of these and a rolex GMT M2. The Casio is far superior in every way. Never needs a service. 10times more accurate. better looking and has more wrist presence. These casios are gorgeous and way head of the like of omega and rolex

I have this watch with the DLC coating! It cost me £2400 last year and now it's £2900!

A spectacular and magnificent watch. I think I prefer it to an Oris Aquis. Love the colour scheme and overall layout. 3000 is a bit expensive though. 2200-2400 more realistic. I don't just mean to single out this watch, many Seiko, Oris and also Omega range are also getting to expensive.

Only the bezel is 6-4 titanium. The remainder of case and bracelet is pure titanium. I asked Citizen JP this question and they told me this by email.
Pretty neat. Is there any MR-G or similar-quality gshock that isn't huge? I've tried a g-steel before, and it was way too big to wear.

The whole watch is not ti 6-4. Only the bezel is ti 6-4 (6al4v titanium) . All other parts are grade 2 ti. I emailed casio japan and have unequivocal evidence.
G-shock, the toughest watch in the world, wrapped in a thin plastic cover! lol
Multiband 6 tries max 6times night to get radio signal.. once every hour ,from 24.00-05.00
. and if successful, it doesn't try to get signal untill next night...
so saying that it sync times 6 times per day is kinda misleading

They don't have to be white. There are latex, Nitrile, etc. I like purple Nitrile gloves myself.

It's cheaper than a TAG. G-Shock are going to be big in the next few years. They have so much pedigree.

Happy Me you can get a quartz tag a lot cheaper. It’s not the same king of watch though. I rather have a G shock 👍
There's a lot of quartz garbage from brands like Patek and AP that is way more expensive than MR-G. Here a price seems decent for what you get. A step up in quality from rubber/plastic fantastic. GST is an option, tho it doesn't hold as much attention to details.
