The dial is amazing. Love the look of the case bezel. I would say that is one of the nicest MRG I have seen. Love the micro shots of that dial. Great job Bob.
I just got mine last Friday n will goto a different Casio Watch shop to re-size the strap. Needless to say, i keep picking it up n examined it in its every detail. I will be going to this MRG-B2000R from a GPW-2000 Gravitymaster 35th anniversary. It's a superb watch n it served me perfectly every second for the past 5 years. It will sit next to my other watches n will get to go back to time-keeping duty when i go on hard labor outings. For now...MRG-B2000!!!
Any idea how to get the band off, its hard enough to find a replacement band but i did, now no jeweler says they have a tool to get the bolt out of the band... help :(
I've stumbled onto this in a thread somewhere before. Seems like it's a special tool Gshock dealers should have if I recall. Have you tried their customer service? Maybe they can help.
What a wonderful opportunity you had there my dear friend.... would you believe me if I told you I've yet to see an MR-G ;-P so seeing you post this, was amazing! I'm guessing there's a lot of the cost in that bezel, as reading about the other bezel finishes, it's something very hard to achieve... nice it had a backlight, but I would certainly sleep with the light on with that gorgeous! Cheers for sharing and to the guys who loan you great content... HaPpY Weekend with a big 3k thumbs up from me ;)
There's a saying in Greek going like this... "Is March ever out of Lent?" aka "Is Mr Rangeman out of ANY G-Shock review???"!!! Obvious answer is NO, he knows'em all but most of times he stays in the shadow, kind like God... observing! 😜😶 Good to see you here my friend, G-Shock angels salute ya!!! LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣
So glad to finally get a little time with one. I was almost expecting to be slightly disappointed considering the cost but not at all. Amazing watch! :)
@@stavros_katsopr Hey buddy... cheers for your lovely words and support... I see it as our videos all combine to make a big all round idea about these watches, so the viewers can really see and experience it from many angles... the MT-G is the top of the G-Shock mountain, and one day I will experience one, but watching Bob review this one, makes it also special as he always makes really great shows.. thanks again :))
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces It was really nice to see this in my feed as it was from you :)) Really nicely filmed too and presented as you always do, and really good you have such a good contact, so please pass on my thanks too for giving you all these amazing watches to review, cheers :))
It may seem weird, but I bought this watch specifically because-in addition to it being a beautiful MR-G-I *love* the strap. There is indeed an element of discomfort in the knowledge that once you cut it, you can’t go back, and therefore you can’t afford to make a mistake. But the strap is set up with many indented lines on the underside that make it easy to cut with a scissors or x-acto knife, and putting the spring bars back into the holes after the cuts takes 10 seconds. Once it’s sized, I find the fit to not only be more comfortable but also nicer looking than a regular titanium bracelet, which I always get sized at a shop. I’ll just hope that whoever inherits it from me has an equally small wrist! Nice review, thanks for the video.
The strap is really nice and I bet it wears great when sized. Definitely not an issue unless you eventually plan to sell later and run into that possible buyer with a smaller wrist. Overall it's a quite an impressive watch. Enjoy it!
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces thank you! I had to sell one of my favorite watches to get this mr-g. Had to give up my mt-g b2000 blue phoenix. I saw this mint condition kachi-iro for sale 2nd hand, pretty close to my location, for half the price of a new one. I knew i had to act fast.😂 I shall soon find out if it was worth it to sell my mt-g
Is this similar to other quartz pieces at this price range? Like Grand Seiko and Breitling are serviceable lifetime movements. Would the same rules apply for a bluetooth G Shock?
Funny you mention the Oceanus. That's one of the watches I plan to pick up soon. Haven't gotten one in hand yet so tough to compare. The MRG is very nice though.
Now that's a G-Shock i would GLADLY accept... as a gift! 😋 Oh, got to start gym too, not for the weight, for my hands to get WAY bigger! Btw, love the "Y" head screws and being titanium. Plus, noone will know it's a G-Shock. Yes Santa, come in July, stores all over the world say it's Christmas time then...again... anyways...I DO...3K times!!!! 😜😂😂😂 Thanks for this one Bob, happy you got it on your hands (without cutting the strap, it would be a VERY expensive mistake, even for the price of the strap i guess...). Cheers mate.

Shame its not on metal bracelet. Lots of MR-G's in the past at the same and lower price points had a DLC titanium bracelet.....seems like a cost cutting measure to utilize the rubber band. Still a nice watch though.
I know what you mean, but I also own a GPS oceanus and while it's potentially a great feature, it's never worked as well as advertised. Bluetooth is better.
Own one. Loving it so far. Worth every penny.

It's quite the watch for sure. Neat how they did the bezel. Thanks Lou.
Super impressive watch!!. Nice review Bob! I never thought we would see G-Shocks in this price range, but they are definitely stepping up the game.
Same here. Pretty awesome watch though. Thanks A!
The closeup details of the watch is just amazing, so beautiful.

I don't get the thinking of cutting the rubber strap to fit, especially on a watch with non standard lugs. Cool watch though.
Same. I'd have to go with the bracelet version if I was a buyer for sure.
Nice watch. But doesn't a GST-B have pretty much the same functions?
Yes, but it is safe to say that people who can afford this watch are not buying it for the functionality.
