the emperor we all know and love was exceptionally old for her species and was really intelligent as well, The one in the trailer isn't the same universe as the actual game as that would imply two things: Riley stays on 4546B and one of the Sea Emperor babies kill him, or a world where Kharaa was never released/doesnt exist and thus the Sea Emperor Experiment was never conducted and the Sea Emperors roamed free.
It's more of a reference to the fact that the emperor in the early version was predatory. And then they made her a herbivore, and a new Leviathan was added in her place: Sea Dragon
She's still intimidating as hell. But the expression they gave her really mirrors her personality. Despite her size she doesn't look at all threatening.
I think that the Sea Emperor Leviathan in the video (due to the fact that she died) is one of her children and the the reason on why it roared so loudly is because it was trying to scare away the Ghost Leviathan from ever coming back. After all, we do know that the Sea Emperor Leviathan feeds off of small microorganisms.
the way you animate makes me so uncomfortable, the darkness and sun rays. subnautica doesn't really give me thalassophobia anymore since I'm used to it from playing a lot, but this really makes me uneasy well done
Nice callback to the original trailer, I commented on the Base Defense one, but you have now earned my subscription. Part of me finds it weird that the Sea Emperor Leviathan wouldn't remember who freed them, but this is still really cool If there was a Subnautica movie to ever be made, I know that you'd be one of the people to make it a reality.
This gives me a more visceral fear reaction than even the reaper. This is flawless. It's *so wrong* to hear such a terrifying, loud roar come from a species we've up until now known to be perfectly passive and gentle. It challenges a universal constant. It's perfect. I'm in awe
I'd be lying if I said this didn't trigger thalassophobia in me with that last shot -- and I love it! The trailer had most of the SE concealed from view, if I remember right, and THAT had freaked me out too. Though, I like this version better personally because it really lets the size of the Emperor sink in AND you gave them some personality in their movements. Even if *SPOILERS* the Emperor is a passive ally *END SPOILERS* they're HUGE and you do NOT want to make a creature like that angry by saying or doing the wrong thing.
I think I connected the dots; Gargantuan Leviathans are the reason Sea Emperors are nearly extinct. Those things must have insane apetite with their size, only ghosts and Sea Emperors are said to be living beyound the crater, and Gargs would swallow them up alright, with Emperoers being prefered food, considering that they are much more meaty. It means that gargs are left only with ghosts, presumably reason for their population collapse, and why we didn't seen any alive in the game, but they aren't extinct, they lurk in the depp, far, far away...
Things i want to see in Subnautica 3 An wider world than the one in Below Zero, it was good and stuff but they put everything a bit too close. An event or something that shows us what happened to both MC's from the last Subnautica games. More expansion of the story from Alterra and so on. A few creatures from both OG Subnautica and Below Zero as well new and more terrifying creatures. Revisiting places like Sector Zero and the Crater (Can be shown in cutscenes or at least mentioned in the PDA) More Lore in general especially with the Gargantuan Leviathan, the Sea Emperors Juveniles and the Precursors such as Al-An
i don't really think she is willing to hurt you even when she is mad but yeah she probably can and considering you are father of the childs others will not hurt you well i miss her :(
You know you fucked up when not even the ghost leviathans dare to follow you any deeper...

I think movement of ghost leviathan should be a little more "fish-like"
Overall very solid animation
0:36 OH no he's right behind me isn't he.
Small Apex leviathan, good work in the animation.
Exciting vid Im really looking forward to your future vids.
More to come!
You should make an animation of a Subnautica diver's adventure of being swallowed whole by a Reaper Leviathan
I think it would be a great animation

Completely agree, can’t wait to see what’s to come!
sound warning woulda been neat on that last part
I really wanted to see the sea emperor crush the ghost leviathan with one of its arms
Would’ve been more fitting if you ended the video with the Sea Emperor merely asking “What are you?”
Was there a larger leviathan behind the Sea Emperor? I think I saw the darkness shift.
Who knows what's really out there...
Can u make an architect animation we’re the architects pilot the gun the shoot down the aurora always wanna see a architect 😢
this guy won't die without the internet
why did the sea emperor roar tho shes passive in the game?
I recommend watching the original subnautica trailer it’s a really neat blast into what could have been that roar is actually from her in the trailer
I don't bite
It's just curious on what you are.
But the sea emperor was good :(

Bro is definitely not the father, Riley for sure did not smash up a leviathan class
