This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ruclips.net/user/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

I have the same issue that after the cap wand flow of water and refill the coffee nozzles also start to pour water so take care as some jug is required under these nozzles and this might be an update that this video did not address as it is dated 2017. I also note that reading the comments that others had to deal with this BUT the important thing is that this video is very good and one of the few that is HELPFUL

At 5:07, if you close the tap and the descale LED is still red, you need to fill the water tank again with clean water and do another cleaning cycle. This time water will come out from the coffee nozzle, not the cappuccino maker. I had to fill the water tank 4 times in total until the light turned off. I guess its based on how dirty it is inside.
I also have to refill the water tank twice before the light goes off. First I thought is was something wrong ....Haha

@@loadingimage4701 Yes me too! First time I descaled I only had to fill the water reservoir once even though it had been years! Yesterday I descaled after the light started flashing after just two months and had to fill the reservoir 3 times before the light went off!

1. Deacale process in this sequence:
2. Normal power on cycle
3. Power off
4. Empty the trays
5. Put back trays
6. Remove water holder
7. Remove the filter
8. Add descaler solution
9. Fill the rest with water, until the first line
10. Put back the water holder
11. Put bowls in place, under the front spout and under the steam spout.
12. Turn on the machine
13. Long press red flashing light
14. Turn steam knob all the way on (cycle 1)
15. Wait 20 minutes, until water holder is empty
16. Turn off steam knob
17. Empty the bowls
18. Refill water holder, until the first line, then put it back into the machine
19. Replace the bowls
20. Turn on steam knob (cycle 2)
21. When all the water is used, turn off the steam knob.
22. Empty the bowls
23. Refill water holder, until the first line, then put it back into the machine
24. Replace the bowls
25. Turn on steam knob (cycle 3)
26. When the steam light flashes, turn off the steam knob. The red light should now be off.
27. Remove the water holder, replace the filter
28. Refill water holder, until the second line
29. Put back the water holder
30. Put back the bowls
31. Power off the machine
32. Remove and empty the bowls
33. Fill up the coffee beans holder
Good, their instruction is not very clear
I descaled many times, but the water never comes through the coffee spout when descaling.
The instructions I had only said two cycles and the red light stayed on now after starting again with just water and doing the third cycle the light has gone off and all is fine.
So, the coffee machine we have for delonghi doesn't have filter.
Was the machine slow making coffee before descaling?

My machine only poured water out of the steamer for a short bit until the remainder came out of the main coffee dispenser. I have the steamer knob turned all the way to the left so I’m not sure why this occurred.

If the water isn't as dirty as yours. Did I do something wrong then? The empty tank lamp also never turned on. And the last process didn't even give half a mug of clean water? 🤔

Can I have an advice our machine is Magnificas Delonghi the coffee is not coming out if we use beans coffee if the powder its fine coffee is coming out.

i did what y did but the water stopped for some reason after 10-20 seconds it dont flow unitl the water tank is empty.. the machine didnt ask for Descale i just try to do it for better maintenance.We must do it only when it ask it ;

You shouldn’t use bottle water when there is a water filter in place
Mine, I need to rinse twice, and the “ANNOYING” light goes off. Tried several times
my light come on after 45 use of cofee and i bought it 2 weeks a go and only used with bottle spring water as not usin any tab water and i didnt use the discaler when i run the discale mode ,is that matter ? cause i check the water no discale or dirt comin out
You could set it to longer periods of descaling (so that the light doesn't come on so soon) I don't think that the machine understands if it really needs descaling, it only has to do with how many coffees you made (as you mentioned) and this you can adjust in settings. Just do a Google search.

I have an issue. After refilling water tank with clean water and turning the steam wand to position 1 to do the rinsing, the water doesn't come out of the steam wand anymore, instead it comes out of the coffee spouts. It does the descaling cycle well, but when it comes to rinsing, there seems to be a problem... has anyone had this issue?

I agree. It's a poor design. Because those spouts do get blocked over time; especially if you live in a hard water area like me.

He might have missed a step at the 3 min mark to turn the steam dial back to the 12:00 position before removing and refilling the water tank. That would stop the descaled from starting the moment he replaces the filled water tank.
.. perhaps this also triggers the descale sequence in the machine differently - or this sequence differs over the different ecam model numbers in same design .. 🤔

No. It won't work.
you can use vinegar. it works. just do the cycle once more with clean water afterwards.

Overall good machine, but absolutely horrible customer experience that it always cleans itself before and after a cup of coffee, and the fact the descaler activates when it shouldn't. We dont have limescale in my country's water (or trace amounts) so this cycle activating when i went to make a cup is just stupid
