Unboxing a Tricolor Lilly White Crestie!

We prepare for and unbox our first crested gecko!
Dex and I purchased her from a small hobby breeder of high-end crested geckos called "Scaley Things and Dragon Wings", and set up a quarantine bin for her to live in for the next few months while we prep a bioactive enclosure for her.
She is unbelievably cute, and magically pretty, and we are excited to share our little gecko with you!

It’s ok to hand feed them now & then . They know where their food is & it won’t spoil them into not helping themselves in my experience. Their quite intelligent 🥰

Thanks! I have been handfeeding both of my Cresties a little here and there, because I've learned since that it is truly a great way to help them develop trust in you. I don't want them to rely on me that way in case I do just need to place food in the tank (or I am away on vacation, because...hey, maybe that will happen and someone else needs to for me). But I for sure was probably being overly cautious for the sake of this video!

⁠@@HeartsScales She will be fine. Yes it is to build their trust there is no problem in feeding them by hand . I use to feed Splodge as a tiny baby a lot by hand & now he shakes his head as to say no I’m all grown up now mum. They all have funny quirks . Their very good at finding their food which is another myth that they can’t. Also another myth is that they don’t drink out of a bowl & mine all do . By the way I love her name 🥰

Soon! I spoke with the good folks at Kexotics and they recommended a few times a week if you can, after the initial waiting period, and it's okay to hold them during the day if that's easier.

Wow she is very pretty with lots of white. I have a tricolour lily too but not as white especially on the dorsal.

Cute name and beautiful coloration. I’m new here and I’m getting a baby crested gecko next week and I am nervous because it’s my first time getting a gecko it’s from a breeder at Morph Market.
