I remember I watched this in sixth grade. I'm in 11th now I had only watched it once and remembered it years after. this taught me something all the books ever could. I remembered it.
This Is Crazy that he is originator of continental drift hypothesis.Watching this video Im just like, how ?Just how can there be a force that could move the continents.Must be strong.Wow!
No shot, actually sitting in my class with my students. And was kinda tearing up at the end. They were pretty bored for teenagers, would have been weird if they saw me crying, 😂
@7:35 it lists Lindsay Crouse as "Series Researcher". Would that be Lindsay Crouse the actress? (It wouldn't surprise me. I know she has a very accomplished and well-educated background, and probably multiple talents.)
Wasn´t the idea of continental drift originally authored by Abraham Ortelius (Theatrum Orbis Terrarum, 1570), and the idea of Plate/Global Tectonics authored by René Descartes (Traité du monde et de la lumière, 1629), centuries before Wegener?
Really cool but the scientists actually found out he didn't have a heart attack he actually just smoked so mutch he could Not really move and he was found in the snow and also that's not how you spell pangaea!😂😂😂

It's refreshing to hear Naomi Oreskes talking about something factual and scientific, rather than her usual magical thinking and unsupported polemics.

I'm not sure the rocks matter , 75-80% is salty water or ice , the ocean stayed the same and the continent's " drifted" , eggactly how sure are you ?
Pangea was 150 million years ago so there is a chance of continents moving apart..
It's a theory, you don't really have to believe it. They don't actually know the history of the Earth, it's their own research and what they know.
The visuals are pretty lame, but the subject matter is interesting.
I thought the same thing.
ur the first comment.Congrats man!
