Mussoorie is a hill station situated at the foothills of the Himalayas. Also called "The Queen Of The Hills", Mussoorie derives its name from the indigenous mansoor shrub that is growing plentifully in the region. The town's history dates back to 1825, when an adventurous British military officer, lured by the beauty of the ridge, decided to construct a shooting lodge here, unknowingly laying the foundation to a popular holiday resort Mussoorie is today.
* SISTER BAZAAR
Sisters Bazaar is a market place dotted with pine, oak and deodar trees. Sister Bazaar is being known for Nurse(Sister/Nurse of British Military Hospital) who use to live this place during British rule over Mussoorie.
Prakash store in Sister's Bazaar-where it is the star from amongst the handful of stores-was initially popularised by its mention in Ruskin Bond's books (the writer is a mussoorie, but remains one of the hill station's must-visits for its delicious stock of cheese, jams, peanut butter and candy even today.
* Chaar Dukaan
Chaar-Dukaan, literally four shops (since British Raj era) which stands next to the St. Pauls’ Church is the proverbial village square of this little hamlet.
Chaar-Dukan is a really laidback joint where the culinary delights like hot and tempting parathas, bun omelets, pizzas, pastas, noodles, pancakes, different kinds of juices, aromatic tea and coffee, are enjoyed under the lazy lukewarm sun and the naughty crispy breeze.

Hum South mein rehte hain, aur haal mein hi Kedarnath aur Badrinath Yatra karke laute hain. Dehradun bhi gaye magar Mussoorie & Landour miss kiye. Aap ka yeh Landour vlog zabardast hai. Please batana Landour visit karne ka best time kya hai, I mean good sunshine and less crowd. Mujhe snow pasand nahi hai. By the way many thanks ke aap ne Ruskin Bond ka ghar dikhaya. * Hotel Himalayan club is a good hotel to stay as we also stayed there.
* you can get taxi from public parking area, also when you stay at hotels within mussoorie you will find many taxi drivers standing outside the hotel.
i paid 1500rs (as it was weekend) for Landour trip pick and drop from hotel.
weekday taxi charge for landour trip 1000-1200rs
weekends 1300-1500rs.
