I think you document all the best techniques and tips from the OG Muay Thai. As a Thai guy, why nobody has collected this piece of art. I feel like after this 10 or 20 years Thai people have to come and learn Muay Thai from your works.
I love that the bag broke as you kicked it with proper form , and the fact that you train with so many great trainers and kru s and are so passionate about learning even though u have competed 250 times amazing drive a pleasure to watch you grow loved the snail analogy 😘
well in one session he has you breaking heavybags so obviously you two are a great team! he kicks similar to how I tend to which is comforting because a lot of MThai people tell me it's "strange" but I like having a lot of options so it's a bit more difficult to fully prepare for my overall kicking game. often I will use the more Stiff Leg version if training with them so that they are not distracted by my "strange" technique but maybe now I will just use whatever variety I feel appropriate for the situation and let them wonder.
Big Member always do what feels better for you, but always make sure to do it with as much effectiveness (power, speed, awe) as possible so that they will not correct you :), something I learned over a few years of training and going to the gym. :). Take care and as the great Samart Payakaroon said, “I was just myself”. Be yourself brother and take care.
Is hippy his actual given name or is it a nickname using the English word? I like your description of the kick he was showing as having a hinge to it. It reminds me of something Bruce Lee said once about the difference between throwing a punch like an iron bar vs throwing a punch like a chain with an iron weight at the end and how the latter "hurts inside"
I have a question I see some amazing Muay Thai cooking demonstration here I also see some contradictions from other Style Muay Thai gyms saying that they kick does need to be all one piece how do you decipher from all the different types of gyms giving you different completely different that is pieces of advice this is the first time I seen a Gym trainer show a muay Thai Kik with a snapping leg flicking leg
I think he's showing a very shallow switch step, not far from what Kru Dam at Sitmonchai once taught me, but if you wanted to cover a little more distance walking right into it is an option. This walking into the kick is also something Karuhat teaches. Hippy mostly does shallow switch, but in at least one he walks into it.
Sylvie von Duuglas-Ittu - Muay Thai totally just fan-boyed out that you replied! I tried the "hinge" with my lead kick, it feels strange but does seem faster. Love your content, thank you so much for what you do!
I think that the switch step is hindering the Hinge aspect, obviously you, he and likely everyone in the video has more experience then I do at MThai but it's just something I noticed. The switch kick lends itself to a straight leg version and the hinge is about the relationship between Hip and Knee and does not benefit as much from the extra distance the Switch provides. Like I said everyone in the video is likely more experienced then I am at MThai but I wanted to share that from my own training. I have no doubt it is a moot point as given your dedication to training you likely mastered this technique months ago by this point.
I have a documentary project called the Muay Thai Library. It is supported by pledges. The above session is part of the Library project. You can see what is in it already here, over 40 hours of video www.patreon.com/posts/muay-thai-uncut-7058199 --- how much you pledge (and the suggested pledge is $5) determines how many sessions you can see, but even a $1 pledge gives you 5 and you'll always see the newest ones, I add two full sessions usually an hour long or more a month. Pledges also help support me as a fighter and a writer.
Sylvie I hope someday you will consider being a teacher in the USA. obviously it's none of my business and you seem to like Thailand very much but I'd be happy to learn from you in person! I think a lot of people would.

I feel like this way I can put back the leg to original position easily
😍
I'm need one
So instead of the switch step, it's like the walk down kick you worked with yodkhunpon?

I did not expect the bag to break!! You must kick really hard!!
That poor bag couldn't take the heat! 😂
Love the videos, for the complete access to all of your trainings on your website, is it free or you need to pay to watch them?
