Chris, I had the same problem trying to loosen the screw of the gear shifter using a Phillips head screw driver. Since the screw head is designed for both Phillips and flat head screw drivers, I tried a flat head screw driver and had no problem loosing the screw. I've ordered a Meghna (Shimano) SL-M315-7 shifter lever to replace the stock Shimano on the Xpress 750. The stock shifter is a bottom of the line cheap shifter and the SL-M315-7 is a much smoother shifter. I also replace the handlebar (same as the one you showed in your video) and the handlebar stem. Also, replaced the seat (Cloud 9) and the seatpost (SR Suntour SP12 NCX). Those changes made a big difference in the comfort level of the Xpress.
Great review. Very clear, informative, and concise. I'm so torn whether I should purchase this exact Lectric model or if I should go with the just announced Ride1up Roadster V3. The Lectric definitely has more power and torque, seems better to accommodate a basket/rack, and the ride position looks much more comfortable, but the Roadster V3 is lighter, has an adequate 500W Mivice motor, a torque sensor just like the XP 750, and has the option for a Gates CDN Carbon Belt Drive AND now has a throttle just like this. Price point wise, they're essentially the same. The other thing that sways me towards the Roadster V3 is it can be optioned out with a battery range extender. Choices, choices; a tough decision to make since both are compelling options.
I just had to replace that exact same shifter on another ebike. It was damaged in shipping. Mine came right off. You might to cut it and replace it to do the bar swap.
I have a Truck-Run 500 watt motor hub drive. My 4x20" fat tire folder can get up to 25 mph very quickly on flat blacktop, no suspension. My 300-watt hub motor takes 2 blocks to get to 20 mph. It's supposed to peak at 819 watts, ha ha. I saw it hit 584 or so watts a few times. It depends on who makes the motor, mine is fast.
Still not enough power. I own an XP 2.0. I live among the mountains of the Pacific Northwest. I like to bring my two little dogs along in a child trailer and ride old logging roads and explore. I often find ones that haven't been used in 60+ years. Often coming out into secluded meadows with abandoned homesteads where the dogs can run and we throw the ball around. Never would have been able to access these beautiful places if I hadn't added a 1500w front motor with it's own battery and 35 amp controller. Yes it added several pounds and the whole setup with trailer is probably near 200lbs. But it can climb anything but a tree. I feel sorry for you poor city folk riding in that flat, hard, endlessly gray and dirty environment. And don't get me started on the wildlife there (i.e. human beings) YUK! I'll never buy an ebike that isn't AWD and at least 1000w per wheel. LECTRIC IS A GREAT COMPANY WITH GREAT SERVICE. I RECOMMEND! 😁👍
I would buy the 500w for the noise difference.
The stem riser is something I never thought existed. Thank you. Ordered 2 of them.
Thanks for watching

Thx! I'll try that
I have the 750 step through, and the handle bars are really really nice on it, very adjustable. I love my bike. I just wish it came with a rear rack.

Yeah similar you do get front suspension and a bigger battery on the Lectric 750
Stem Riser...Great workaround

The 400% quieter claim on the motor is basically a lie, but it is a great bike. Wish my fenders would ship soon though..
Yeah the 500w, my Xpeak and One are quiet but not this one
Nice looking bike!
I did not see a link for the stem riser Can you please provide one?
Sorry here it is amzn.to/3Tv5eFF
Nice 👍✌️
750...much nicer than 500

Wow this is one of the most pretentious comments I've ever read on youtube
