Fast speeds, plenty of features, low prices, oh my!
Lectric has found tremendous success with non-traditional e-bikes. Folding e-bikes may be common now, but that wasn’t always the case. So, if they could succeed with a non-traditional route, how will they fare with a more classic-style bike?
With the XPress 750, Lectric is combining years of R&D with the knowledge gained from selling 400,000+ e-bikes to create its first full-blown commuter model: the Lectric XPress.
In our review of the XPress 750, we found it to be fun, fast, and efficient. It has many more features than most budget commuters, and it is comfortable to ride.
Check out its performance in our standardized tests to see how it compared to other commuter rides!

I was on the fence about getting an ebike, when Lectric released this model I felt if I was going to buy, this was the one. 2 days ago, I witnessed a man riding one of Lectrics folding Expedition ebikes up a major hill for 5 blocks in a nearby city. He never pedaled once. That sold me. Think Ill have to get myself one of these for Christmas. Great review.

Thanks for the comprehensive review! I completely get that some may find PAS1 underpowered. But I see it the other way, I've been riding almost exclusively on PAS1 as an exercise bike. This caps the wattage output to 17W and just takes the edge off, and my 36-45 mi trail rides just happen a little faster. But when I need to join or cross traffic, I can always bump it up to PAS 3-5 to keep up. Using that strategy I'm calculating unreal ranges, ~250mi based on final resting voltage (kudos to Lectric for battery voltage displayed, much more useful than even a percentage battery bar). Ultimately the 750W XS Xpress ticks all the boxes for me with the geometry, nice pedals, and efficient low PAS to put good leg watts to the pedals for a workout with huge range, but then easily switch to a quick and nimble city bike with an easy to modulate speed via torque sensor

I've put 170 miles on my XPress 750 and I've found the same to be true with my battery range. My battery will drain less than 1V on my 8 mile round-trip commute suggesting >100mile range on PAS1. I think I could come close to matching the 60 mile advertised range on PAS 3. IMO PAS 1 compensates for the weight of the bike and gives a little help going up hills, but you definitely need to pedal.

The 750W motor is dramatically louder than the 500W sister which is almost non-detectable. Great review. 22:46

The 500w actually went further on the PAS 5 test (although for some reason you decided not to show speed for that test for the 500w) and was only 5 seconds slower on the pedal hill test and is much quieter. The 750 won the throttle hill test though. 500w might be the better buy if you don't need the extra hill climbing ability.

FYI, your written review is using the times for the 500w version for the hill climb test.

Sure would like to see you review the E Cells 5 Star.

I think this bike would benefit greatly fro a gearing change that should no cost much if any more to build. Change the freewheel to 11/28 and the front to 52 tooth. This would eliminate ghost peddling at higher speeds

Nice review. I appreciate what you guys do.I need an honest recommendation, the 750 or the Stella Falcon?I know they are not in the same price range.

They're both fantastic options. If you're seeking a more premium feel and don't mind the added cost, you might prefer the Falcon. But the XPress absolutely delivers on a great bike for a great price.

Are you going to do a review on the Express 750 step Thu model?

Likely not any time soon since we did the 500 ST, but it's always possible. I'd expecting similar performance results as the HS with the riding position and comfort factor of the ST.

Can you please ask Lectric why they don’t have working brake lights?

I been wanting to get an Ebike for a while I use a regular bike or walking just to get around my immediate area. But I been looking for one for transport to work which is about 60 miles away from my house, also probably something to go when I got to do a bit of groceries shopping. I was looking at a cargo bike but I blame your videos showing so much types from fat tires, cargo bike, commute bike, folding bike. I don't want a huge price. Basically something to work and help with shopping. No bike restrictions here .

60 miles each way?! I do a 22 mile each way commute and thats a pretty good adventure even on a powerful ebike and I have to charge the battery all day at work so I can get home. Becaause of lots of traffic and parking and such, I can get to work as fast on my bike as by car but save the 30 bucks on parking and 8-10 bucks on gas (I live in Ca and gas is a rip off). 60 miles even with an asskicking ebike would be a really, really tough daily commute. The XPress 750 is a nice bike (I have one) but I wouldn't want to ride it that far, you'd need to run almost no assist and the bike is not easy to pedal like a regular analogue bike.

This company stopped shipping internationally, for such a successful company you would think they expand their operations not downsize, thumbs down for Lectric
