The confusion ending is already mean with how much it messes with new players, but seeing the "New Content" door right after makes it so much worse hahahaha
The "Skip button" room is still one of the most (if not the most) haunting experiences I've ever had in a game. The nature reclaiming the space and then the whole world descending into darkness and those creepy sounds of ethereal creatures screeching and screaming outside at the end of the world millions of years ahead... Man, the atmosphere they've managed to create with nothing but sound design in a small square room is just something else. Really forces your imagination to go wild.
Did the 'Don't play for five years' for reals. It was quite the wait. Compared to that, the 'Play The Stanley Parable for the entire duration of a Tuesday' achievement was an easy chill 🤣
1:30:50 wow, I didn't even know this was in the game! I wonder what that sound is? I think the "Crab - the ultimate sequel" poster is a reference to the carcinization phenomenon, where all crustaceans evolve towards being crabs. It was actually a meme for a while, with people joking that we'll all evolve into crabs. Not sure if it's related to the audio that played, though.
The Stanley Parable started as a mod for Half-Life 2, then there was the 2013 Steam release of The Stanley Parable that made it into its own original game. Then there's the 2022 Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, which has all the content from the original game alongside new content, and on a new engine, released on consoles.
43:57 Honestly, the demo is worth experiencing separately. 50:02 Of course, to truly appreciate this bicycle, you need to have seen the Raphael Trailer of The Stanley Parable. Only then, will it truly touch your heart.
That demo is excellent, presenting the theme of the game, choice, without spoiling anything. And i don't know how long i stood there, before i realized i was already playing 😂
Ikr! I'd never heard all the way through th Narrator describing what his experience was like, and ending it in how the euphoria became fear and him ominously saying he wants you to feel that too, then he actually stops talking! And that's why he's not there the next couple of skips! He's actually hoping you'll have to feel what he feels!
2 things, I would not worry much about acsessing the "New content" before experiencing the old content, while a gag or two may be missed by such it is not a considerable loss as all endings and content from the original still remain (barring a few tiny things). 2nd is that the award in the memory zone is slightly altered, as you can see at [41:51] the award was actually given to the last of us, (and as a fun fact the last of us 2 released at the same time as the Stanley parable ultra deluxe, effectively once again sapping award potential, and such was even joked about in a trailer for the game as I recall)
What a great time I had watching this! Genuine laugh-out-loud moments along with your reactions make for a wonderful experience. Also, extra points for including your kitty at the end. 😊
After seeing how you played, I fully expected you would be someone who listens to all the narrator dialog in the skip button until it loops. I did that also on my playthrough. But what kind of blew my mind is that you heard some songs/soundscapes in the infinite hole that I never knew existed. Basically the narrator wakes you up some time after trying all the options at least once - so only being methodical about it instead of trying all the buttons allows you to loop around there. Makes me wonder why they put so much content there that >90% of players probably won't ever experience.
40:14 it's actually in Ukrainian TO MY SURPRISE, I've noticed it JUST NOW even though I've watched TSP playthroughs for years.. oh well xD (On the top it says "спільнота" = community and "придбати" = buy). How have I never clocked my native language lmaao I admire your attention to detail in this game
17:28 If you really like this whole “impossible geometry” going on at this part, there’s a game called Manifold Garden that’s completely based around it.
I'm sure others have already said this but it bears repeating, Those pictures of "Portal" and "Minecraft" Are in-game screenshots of The Stanley Parable 2013. They were replaced in the Ultra-deluxe edition (because they moved from Source to Unity) And they were never added to the original mod version. So the only way to access those areas is in the 2013 version.
It is funny seeing a game address all these silly review and comment demands that people make. Everyone's gotta have the world catered to them. I dunno how life hasn't taught them yet that no one cares, and just learn to be grateful for you have and what you have done.
For easter eggs 1) Follow the main path till you get to the mind control facility. After hitting all the buttons stand on the last platform for a full minute instead of taking the elevator. The gate locking you in will go away and you can walk back. 2) If you don't use all your jumps in the jump circle, hit the restart button while standing in it and you will be able to freely jump any time. There's even a few hidden things you can only see with it. 3) Type 8888 into the keypad and you'll hear a voice say 8. 4) When at the Jim button if you press it before he finishes telling you what it's like to be Jim he'll make Jim's life sound progressively worse each time you interrupt or till he just takes it away.
For endings 1) Close your office door rather than walk out of it. 2) When walking into the bosses office try to walk backwards out as the doors close And without spoiling two easier ones, just try walking into small objects.
The Portal and Minecraft Pictures were from the Original Stanley Parable. There is an ending where there narrator got tired of you criticizing his game and instead just boots up different games (these two)
the "game" is about discovering all the possible ways to progress through the game. To experience all of the different dialogue - obey, disobey, test everything, go completely off the map if you can. Some things aren't obvious - Eg try going up and down in the lift in the secret area off of the boss' office repeatedly over and over again.. //. Your instinct is correct regarding the first windows on the left, there is no glass. Look for a way to climb up on the desk and walk through....

Amazing how much more entertaining this gets, and how much less of an asshole the narrator became, when you start disobeying. Last episode it felt like you were constantly being belittled for trying to be thorough.
There is even more content in the left door as well... also... Possible spoiler (but I'm pretty sure you did this in episode 1) , you may not be able to jump, but you can still get on top of desks.

I'm not sure that going straight to the Ultra Deluxe content without watching everything else was a good idea, since it's designed for players who have completed the main game, but this is your walkthrough, so it's up to you. In fact, in the Ultra Deluxe version they not only added new content, but also changed some old ones. One ending is especially different.
It's my first playthrough so I have no way to know what is new to the Ultra Deluxe version though 😭 I'd do things in the "right" order if I could, but I don't know what that even is lol
@LukaelPlays This is the biggest disadvantage of the Ultra Deluxe version in my opinion. A person who has never played the game before may stumble upon some new content too early in the game. It’s good that at least developers didn’t insert any big spoilers into the new content, so in this regard you’re safe. The rest is my personal concerns.
@coffeetunic8458 yeah imo they show new content door a little too early. But that's okay, every playthrough is unique. In this one i.e. we will see "old content" after seeing "new" and that's also a journey in some way =)
Don't stress too much about a 'correct' order - the callbacks and references will just work in reverse when you come across things later, and there's no penalty for doing things your own way
Don't listen to them. They're wrong. Going through the door doesn't do anything to the base game endings, and nothing stops you from getting them since the vast majority of new content is optionally available, and anything that can be found without activating that option can be found from the moment you boot up the game without the door like it was always there.
you might want to also play "the beginner's guide" which is a game made by the same dude that made this game. its a short 2 hour game I think. I've seen people play it in one big about 2 hour video so I don't think you'd have any trouble there.
44:05 So you can cheat the 5 year achievement or... you can actually wait like I did. I played the heck out of this game trying to see what all could be done but after some time I just stopped playing. When this Ultra Deluxe came out it had been over 5 years, thus I got it!
New content door has the ultra deluxe stuff lol so I recommend finishing the normal game first bc that Fr is the new content but if you haven't experienced the old content it's kinda weird bc it's a journey idk if you can go back tho

There's a few really tricky endings and easter eggs you won't figure out on your own. If you want them I'll put them in a reply to this post.
