Had the bow set up at a pro shop. It performed just fine ruclips.net/user/postUgkxQEKUoxLWwayEDZR0NKB-5limn4MBU-2L . And I would say this is a good starting now that I could pass down to my son when he is older. But the package was missing the release and a nock was missing from one arrow.Dealing with customer support was terrible. They suggested I buy a new release rather than correct their own quality control issue because it’s to expensive for the. to ship it out from China.Update: manufacturer got back to me and resolved the issue. I retract the above statement.
I am a right handed left eye dominant shooter with a right handed bow. I just bought a bowtech diamond core infinity bow and my arrows are all landing far right. I've moved my sight as far right as I can and even took it off and put spacers between it and the bow. I heard about a sight called the eliminator pro that could work for my situation, but I cant find where to buy one. It seems the extreme outdoor products doesn't exist anymore. Is this sight bad and isn't selling anymore?
thank you to show me how too shoot a bow
i have a question every sight i put on my mathews bow i have to flip the bracket to drop my apperature another bow tech said i shouldnt have to do that but directions on most sights say to is this wrong?
If you have to flip the bracket either your peep needs to be adjusted or your bow is out of tune.

I have a question (im a noobie trying to look for tips on bow shooting) when I aim for the middle of my target and my bow is straight to it it will almost never hit it and it will go off to the top left or right corner. my question is if any one has a tip on how to aim? like should I close one eye or something? or what? please help I really want to become a bow hunter one day. (I am 13 so please don't judge)
Sight it better
make sure that the arrow is straight
Everything look good until I see him punch the trigger ,
not so surprise at first shot but it's look like you not going to correct his punch in the 2nd shot.

I think you are forgetting about breathing techniques in bow shooting.
danastasi1 i was thinking that as i was watching... (thinking to self) ”what about breathing?
outstanding vid! just learning to use the bow, getting ready for bow season. great info.!
this is an absolute must watch video for your competition to watch ,especially right before tournament shoot ,, sure to give you the upper hand ,
yes Jared, he gave the tip for bend your elbow cause you can lock it and keep from tis, but if you don't know too well you could catch the inner of your bicept. if you don't bend your elbow it could feel like you just ripped the inner of your arm completely open
I totally agree with everything in this video I was taught by a browning pro shooter. he had me do everything that this video said and I went from being happy to hit a paper plate at 20 yards to shooting life savers candy every shot at 30 yards I know we all have opinions but I totally agree with the video
awesome..seen a couple faults I've been guilty of..time to practice better..thanks!! :)
I have a weird issue when I shoot my only problem is that I exhale almost completely every time and hold it for a little before I shoot what breathing technique should I use
Love yalls videos, most helpful archery videos I've found so far on youtube!
shouldnt bend your elbow because you can never bend it the same way everytime
Just "pop" it out of the way.Not completely, but just so you don't get slapped.
You can keep your arm straight without getting slapped its your shoulder causing your elbow to turn in if you adjust it and train yourself that won't happen muscle memory
Ricky Unger its muscle memory for some, like me
I lock my elbow and rotate the joint (clock wise for R H) so that flat inside area of the bend is vertical. This leaves no hump for the string to slap yet maintains a consistent draw length. I have been a successful and accurate bow hunter for over 40 years using this method.
Mystical Knight By the way, keeping the wrist locked straight is also critical. A bent wrist moves the forearm into the path of the bow string.
Proper arrow spine charts are available online; look them up.
That sight looks like it had a magnifier in it... What is that and where can i get one ?
A good rule of thumb is, if you knew you pulled the trigger than you need to think about changing something.
Some excellent tips in that vid. Thanks.
Very helpful. Thank you. Big smiles...
At 20 yards I can group but once I get back to 30 my group expands I was thinking could it be because I still shoot the factory rest a hostage? I was thinking it could be my release or hell it could be
If I wanted my bow to do all my shooting for me I would play a video game.
awesome! Thank you for mentioning about the "plucking"....I think that is/was a big problem with my accuracy.
You ever watch this video? You contradict half of what you say, the other half of your info is from the 90's
hey i have a question my bow has some White things on the string or rope something i dont know what is it does it means that its going to cut
It appears to me that the shooter is leaning back just a touch. Also, I have to disagree with the "coming back up into the target". That starts to involve muscles in the shoulder that can cause high misses once the tension of the shot is released. Best tip for post shot is just to stay focused on the point you're aiming at.
Why is he punching the trigger?
He is wrong when he said u should drop under the target and go back at the target. This is called a 'Drive Bye'. This normally causes u to shoot high cause when u release the arrow you have pressure upwards on the bow and instead of it staying level or falling down you are pushing up so the arrow tends to hit high. The best thing to do is to drop down at the target and stop on it, let the pin bounce on the target and squeeze while concentrating on the spot. That is the proper technique.
right on brother!!! can we get a new vid!? much luv
Thanks for all of your videos. You a bowtech by any chance?
that is an interesting sight. anyone know where i can find a sight like that?
It seems off but all the things this man talked about in this video are pretty much the same stuff I learned when I was taught how to shoot recurve instinctively, mostly consistency in technique. Especially if you're a "instinctive shooter" like me then practicing to achieve a consistent draw, anchor point and smooth/relax release is important, as well as body posture, stance and "eyeing your target". Hope that helps.
I know, But I looked it up, and the method I use wasn't there, the closest i found was the Mediterranean grip, which uses your Middle, Index, and Ring fingers. I thought I'd been doing it wrong the entire time.
I pull the string in a very weird way of holding the sting, I use my index and middle finger instead of pinching it, does this affect my shooting at all?
sounds like a normal way of drawing to me, id hate to try to draw a 60 pound bow by holding it between my thumb and index finger...
He's punching that trigger bad.
Great video. Thank you fellas
if you're left eye dominant, try to learn to shoot left handed. it will help tremendously in the long run.
Interesting stuff, but we don't all shoot compound bows. Any advice for those of us who shoot recurve?
I sure do enjoy the video's guys. It seems i can always find something in each of them that helps me. Good job!
What kind of finger tab do you guys use?
this guy doesnt know what hes talking about
Look for a video on how to shoot recurve bows.
Best advice i can give.
Thank you
Sorry, but you want to lock your elbow so you have full bone-to-bone-to-bone contact from your wrist to your elbow to your shoulder for a rock solid bow arm. By putting a bend in your elbow, you're using muscles to hold the bow open. Muscles get tired, bones don't. Then you turn your elbow out to 7 o'clock so you don't hit your forearm with the string. As for your shooter, David, his form isn't correct either - he's leaning back and his release hand is behind his head. Shorten the shaft on his release and he'll be able to get a nice solid anchor behind his jawline under his ear. He's also punching the trigger with his fingertip. That itself tells me the release shaft is too long. The trigger should fall between the first and second joints from the fingertip so you can truly squeeze the trigger and not punch it.
A 25lb bow is all right for rabbits isn't it?
Rabbits lack an opposable thumb and therefore would have a terrible time trying to shoot a bow, especially one with 25lb draw weight. Have you seen how small a rabbit is?
Great tips on proper form. really helpful.
WOW, there is a lot of holes in the wall! lol
Poor tips. Archer punches the trigger. Wheres the back tension. Bend your elbow? Where did you guys come up with this stuff...
This is not how to be accurate Wow lol
I'm new to archery and I was wondering what that barrel thing is on the front of your bow.
The one about a foot or half a foot away from the bottom of the how is his stabilizer. Which helps balance the bow.
also he is punching the trigger a big no no
+Nick Duca I'd say his groups are perfect.
Great video, thank you.
great five minute tip session!!!
great info put out. thanks for the video
The kid should work on wrapping his finger around the trigger on the release! Punching the trigger bad! I see target panic in his future!
I think what you are seeing is what not to do. In most of this video if you listen to what Sr is saying Jr does to demonstrate. He also uses his second finger when releasing the trigger and using a 85lb bow. He's 40 yrs old been shooting in competition and hunting since he was 4. I would put him up against anybody shooting a hunting rig and out to 100 yards.
+santafearchery too bad he's gone now.. miss him
Great tips, much appreciated
Thank alots for the tip
I'm confused so when I shoot I get tight groups but when i move my sight my groups stay in the same place about 4" to the left of where I'm aiming if any one has seen this problem or knows how to fix it I'd appreciate the help
could be an arrow spine issue. If you're a right handed shooter, stiff arrows will hit left. Could also be draw length issue. Too long(1" or more) causes you to "open up" as the string is propelling the arrow causing left impacts. If it's a consistent 4" no matter what distance, it's likely the draw length issue. If you're arrows "Christmas tree" as you walk back, then it's a center shot issue. Minute adjustments back to the right(assuming right handed shooter) is all it should take. Without knowing the equipment you are shooting, it's difficult to diagnose exactly which solution you need.
Thanks but i fixed it the day after a posted that. I shortened the draw and fixed the center shot. Very useful information.
Awesome to hear!!
Just what I was looking for.
Awsome video. 👍

Here are some great Archery Tips:
1. Make sure your bow has no cams; compounds are for nancies.
2. Make sure their is no "release"; use your fingers nancy.
3. Make sure your only sight is your eyeball.
4. Don't wear a bracer, use proper form.
Capturing Lost Footsteps Dot Com okay Pocahontas lets do it the shit way would u also recommend i take a 900 yrd shot without a rifle scope
Sean B I was trolling, but that would be sick if you did!
Sean B ....Palma match. Shot at 1000yds with iron sights, prone position, no bipod or rucksack for support. Rifles are .308 winn. Look it up. The good shooters are extremely impressive.
