    This closed stance is how I naturally stand. Did playing baseball for years. Do now learning bow. I’ve seen a lot of videos with people using various stances that feel natural to them, just like ball players, and I feel more confident in my stance and the feel of my shot having seen this video. Great quality instruction and video as usual. Thank you. 🙏🏼

    Jeff, thanks for all the advice. I'm converting from gap shooting to instinctive. I did OK shooting gap, but just couldn't break the habit of opening my left eye once I'd acquired my gap, just before release. That sounds idiotic, but I just couldn't bring myself to keep my left eye shut. It's like I needed to see that arrow go down range. So I'm working on instinctive and actually found I shoot better. It's still a matter of acquiring a sight picture for lack of a better way to put it, but I enjoy it more than gap shooting which should help that much more in getting my groups tighter. Thanks for all you do.

    Hi jeff, I’ve watched a lot of your videos and I like most of them and found them very helpful. The one that has made it all come together is this one “the stance”. My group’s have gone from 6 inch down to arrows touching at 18 meters in just shooting 20 arrows. So I thank you for helping me achieve my goal.

    • @instinctiveaddictionarcher8998
      @instinctiveaddictionarcher8998  2 года назад +2

      Thanks brother, the best I can answer is in a hunting situation there’s no telling how you might have to shoot at a deer especially from a tree stand lol so I practice shooting from every possible position just in case I have to make a shot but in a perfect world they’ll let you use the normal form and that’s usually not the case 🤣👍🏻

    Hi Jeff, a real good instructional video. I've had a lay off from shooting due to a bug I picked up, felt weak and out of sorts. Anyway, I'm back to shooting again but my accuracy is just awful. I think that my form and position of my feet may be the main problems. Can't wait to get out and put your instruction into practice. Thank you and best wishes from UK.

  • @corywiggins5146
    @corywiggins5146 2 года назад +2

    ( part 2) during my draw I am looking at what I want to hit not looking at the arrow tip at all. I am not sure if this is gap/ split vision or instinctive. It might even be a combination of the two. But I do know one thing if you follow your advise on form back tension, straight elbows, a smooth release release, and picking a spot your shots will group better. Plus you will be more accurate. Then repeat this over and over. Thanks for you advise keep the videos coming.

    • @instinctiveaddictionarcher8998
      @instinctiveaddictionarcher8998  2 года назад +1

      That’s definitely instinctive and I believe split vision can come way more into play when you’re shooting long distance because the arrow or the tip is pretty much blocking your spot at least around 45-50 yards in most cases especially with lighter poundage bows but if you can clearly focus on a spot and shoot it’s definitely instinctive 👍🏻

    Thank you for sharing! Perfect timing. This might change my D.L a little before I cut a new set of arrows! Thank you for your tips on arrows as well. Keep them coming! Any tips on the occasional arm slap and nose rub by string?

    • @instinctiveaddictionarcher8998
      @instinctiveaddictionarcher8998  2 года назад +3

      Well I actually get a little nose rub myself from time to time especially doing this lol but as far as arm contact no, all of our bows run close to if not an 8” brace height and just don’t do that also the way you cradle the grip makes a huge difference in that 👍🏻

  • @corywiggins5146

    This is the way I shoot. 1st I adjust my elevation before I shoot using the tip of my arrow. When I start my draw I don’t look at my arrow tip again, I just keep my bow hand as still as possible and in my pre-drawn position( my pre determined elevation)

    • @instinctiveaddictionarcher8998

      I have the same problem.

    • @instinctiveaddictionarcher8998
      @instinctiveaddictionarcher8998  2 года назад +2

      Well it all depends on the trajectory of the arrows, some setups still allow you to be looking at the spot while others especially lighter poundage bows will have it blocked out and in that case all you can do is shoot split vision and just practice knowing how high to elevate the arrow while still lining up the right and left and let it rip lol

    Do you also use this technique while in a stand in the deer woods? Of course we sometimes have to twist and contort into weird angles depending on where a deer walks out, which is why I’m asking. Thanks in advance.

      @instinctiveaddictionarcher8998  2 года назад +1
