In this video I will go over how to do an oil change on a Hyundai Tucson. This video should be representative on 2010 to 2015 years.
Hyundai calls out 5W20 oil but I prefer 5W30 in the hotter climate of Arizona. First thing you want to do is get the front of the car up off the ground, so that you can get underneath. Position your oil catch pan under the drain plug and use a 17mm to remove. Once oil is dripping, move to the oil filter and remove. Replace drain plug and new oil filter, be sure to tighten both 1/2 turn passed the catch point.
Re-fill oil, start with 4 quarts and fill until middle of empty/full mark on dip stick. This should be roughly 4.5 quarts.
Thanks for tuning in, be sure to like and subscribe
Until Next time, Keep on wrenching!

I would say stick with what the manufacturer recommends. Maybe if someone live in a extremely hot area then maybe it would be warranted. Thank you for posting this video.

Once your engine is old it will start to burn hot so youll need and heavier weighted oil, otherwise you'll need oil changes more often

Did the drain plug have a crush washer and I've seen people put oil in the filter before screwing it in. Is it ok to put in the oil filter without adding oil in it?

the only benefit is having immediate oil sent through to the engine.

Yes, there is a copper crush washer. It is OK to add oil to the filter prior to installing if you please

It's advertised as 4.5, but I start with 4, warm it up for a few seconds check and keep filling.

Cousin 33 Nope! All areas are exposed except the filter. You need to unclip the circle cover
