Those are hanging file folder pockets/swing that fit on a metal frame inside a drawer. Your file folders are placed in the pockets. The slots are for the file tag name (left side of plastic goes in 1 slot and the right side of the tag gies in the opposite side. When you ipen your "file drawer", all those "tabs" sit on the top above so that you can see the file name immediately. Hope this makes sense. Great idea!
We used those slots to insert soft metal paper page holders with the two fold-over arms (long ones and shorter ones). The slots were spaced to fit correctly with our paper two-hole punches. They kept pages from falling out of the often used files (we were a medical practice). Folders with those slots are hard to find these days. I’m not sure that’s what was intended by the designers, but that’s how our office took advantage of them. Loved this tutorial!❤
You must never get tired of us telling you how creative you are, because we won’t stop!! This has been one of the most inspiring tutorials I have ever watched!! Now I have to clear my working area (very small) to try at least one of your ideas. Thanks for being so patient with us as you seem to know what our questions would be if we could speak to you directly. Blessings to you from Betty in Ohio.
Sometimes I come here and my jaw just drops open. I wish I had that level of creativity and talent. Well done again Natasa, a brilliant concept and such beautiful end products.
So clever! I love that you think and design 'outside the box' or the norm. Always something different, but always functional. Fantastic. You are very talented.
This is such a fun project! Great way to use paper I’m not crazy about…make an envelope that doesn’t show from the front. You make paper look so RICH❣️❣️❣️
Hi Natasa, those slits in the file folder are for metal or plastic prongs that you can put through and hold A4 papers in that have been punched with a two-hole punch. I hope that makes sense! LOL. Beautiful projects once again. Thank you for your creativity. 🌷
I have your new book and it is simply wonderful. I would recommend it to anyone that is interested in book and journal making. It was also fun to get to know you a little better too.
Good one for me as I have more envelopes than anything....well almost. (I tend to keep things too well) The reddish one reminded me of the cut out stacked book you did. ‘Not too shabby’ is a phrase I use everyday!🤣 👍❤️BFE
Thank you Natasa, every single project of yours is a full workshop! You are very generous, thank you ever so much for the techniques, the clear explanations, and all that hard work of preparation (I have run many workshops in the past and know what it takes to display such a clear tutorial). All the projects are fun, but most of all very useful and they are the kind of creations that are foundation to take them further and apply our own style for our own needs. Most grateful.
Hi Natasa! 😁 You are, for sure, the most clever and outside of the box kind of creator...always something so different from everyone else. Thank you for sharing your incredible talent with us. Have a delightful day!!!
As always, you come up with something that is so fun and unique. It’s right in front of us and we don’t see it until you bring it to our attention. Thanks again for being such a great artist.
So inspired! I have so many ideas. I could create a envelope book to store my postage stamps for use in my projects. I could sort them by color and coordinate the colors with the individual envelopes so that I don't need to write the color on it. I love the idea of embossing some of the envelopes, genius! Thank you again for the ideas where you talk about all the other ways we can make it our own. You are the best!
Brilliant!!! when the grandkids were younger (now 21-16-15) they would decorate the envelopes of greeting cards for different occasions for hubby and me. Coincidently, I found them the other day and wondered where the time had gone and replaced them in my box. Now I have a way to display their art work in a new way!! and of course, add a picture or two of the corresponding Birthday, anniversary etc. Thank you for your inspiration!
Natasa these are such fun and lovely ideas - there are so many uses for this - i absolutely love it - I would like to mention that for those who do not have a sewing machine but love the look of stitching - they do make Faux Stitch Stamps with several designs - i cannot wait to put one of these together - how wonderful to send as Happy Mail or as an addition to a Junk Journal - love it - thank you xx and i hope all is going well with your dear Banjo - what a sweetheart 🐾🐾
Clever woman! This project is a great idea 🤔💭. I am so grateful for your willingness to so readily share your experience, thoughts and procedures with us in you amazing book. I love reading it. I’m looking forward to your next RUclips video. Thank you. Thank you again. 💐💐💐👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😎
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, the best part of your videos is just listening to your stream of consciousness thought process as you work out your projects. It makes it seem as if I'm crafting right there along with you and I don't feel at all foolish for answering your questions and making suggestions as if you can hear me. Have you considered moving to Texas? The summers are beastly but the weather's nice the rest of the time. We could be neighbors. Hope you say yes. ~ Lisa
Hello Natasha ... After reading and perusing through Treasure Bookmaking I am happy to report that I have contracted the new disease that you have named Everything-itis. LOL. We are still on holidays so I have been at as many thrift shops and antique shops as I can fit in. Thank you for all the inspiration you are sharing. And also thank you for rescuing that precious dog. My advice after owning many rescue dogs is a tremendous amount of patience - time - and most of all love... Mary Suzanne from British Columbia Canada
You blow my mind! I have envelopes leftover from using cards as tags over the years. I am so excited to start work on a couple of journals for my grandchildren.
It has been a year since the last time I've been able to find time to sit and use my computer or watch different crafts projects. I have to say, your use of some English words and English expressions have gotten so good. You are so confident! This project is so neat ! I can't wait to find some time to use my supplies....oh! How I wish! Also, I saw something like an envelope book (yours is so much better) . You put what you are grateful for as time passes, in each envelope. The possibilities for subjects are endless; grateful for things a child or husband, etc. does or says. When it's full it can be a present to that person. God's promises that you recognized as has actually having been fulfilled in an event, etc. in your life. So many possibilities! And GORGEOUS! THANK YOU for showing us how, Envelope #1 is for you! ! Grateful for Natasha because....!
Toujours un très grand plaisir de vous suivre j'adore les poches etc.. avec briques de lait j'ai vu cela cette nuit super tout est magnifique 😍😍😍👍👍👍🤗🤗🤗
Your creativity is amazing and limitless. I love how you think outside of the box. This is such a great idea - so interactive and is now one of my favorites. TY for sharing your talent and time. Have fun with Banjo🐾
Can’t wait to try multiple versions of this. I enjoy making envelopes with my punch board and now I have a good use for all of those envelopes. Thanks for sharing this unique idea.
As usual you made a very special project, it is beautiful and wouldn’t be overly difficult to make something, imagination is all that is needed it make it our own. Thanks so much.
Thank you for that creative input, that’s just what I needed! And thank you for going back to your old style leaving out the ASMR at the beginning! I appreciate that SO MUCH. ♥️♥️♥️
Well I really didn’t think I would enjoy this project because I just wasn’t interested in making anything like this right now. Wow! Was I wrong. Now…I can’t wait to go start working on this project! So beautiful and I especially love hearing your “working thoughts” as you make a project. That process also gives us more ideas that might be appealing to a new way of going with the project. Love your projects as always. Thank you for doing the work and sharing.❤
This wasnt planned but I am so glad you shared all of the extra making it into a journal with us and the closure... Everything in this is great! Thank you so much!!
Your projects are amazing! I love the idea of putting envelopes together but never saw them staggered. It is whimsical and so fun. I may have to try that. I have a bunch of junk mail return envelopes i can cover with pretty paper and use stamps or stickers or stencils on the plain ones I have. I need to start a project journal just to remember all the fun ideas you present! ❤ 😊 TFS.
Wow! I have all these supplies! My husband worked from home in 2020 and left behind loads of stuff when he went back to the office😉 Also I have loads of envelopes from my thrift shop! Win! Win! Thanks I should go get busy now😂😂
This is fabulous thank you! I love it and will try for sure. Regarding those slits.... we used those exact files in the office where I worked previously. You get a metal piece, like a flat piece with two 'prongs' that goes through the slits and then through the papers you keep in the file, then folds down to hold it in place. Almost like split pins... Hope it makes sense.
I liked your teasing(s) in general (you are so good at it!) and todays no exception (about us liking our cleaning/cooking better than crafting 😊). I am following what I noticed in your videos awhile ago -- started to use simple, runny, and cheap school glue on parts where there could be no issue with sipping-age and wrinkling-age. My strong and expensive glues are now ONLY for where and when they are really necessary. This way I have no problem with investing in pricier quality glues. I will build my initial stacks (or several) not earlier that just before going to bed so I have to temptations to continue to the next steps without waiting for the runny glue to dry properly. And I will have fun the next day decorating.
Just popping in here to say that I took inspiration from you after watching one of your earlier videos. I started making bows yesterday, and now my stash of ribbon and lace is gone 😂. Thanks for sharing your ideas in the way you do - it really is super inspiring.
You are such a gift to this world! I love watching your process and almost seeing how your wheels turn as you get swept up in a creative journey. Thank you for sharing so much inspiration ❤ Wishing you a beautiful day
Wow! The folders especially would be fantastic for holding different types of ephemera and keeping them in order!! Thank you so much, I believe you just solved the problem for me!
Natasha, as always, this is fantastic! You take the simplest things and make magic. I love this project; it will be great with my new portfolio. Thank you.
It blows me away how creative and clever all your ideas are. And this is one of my favorites ever!
Yay! Thank you!
You took the words out of my mouth.
Amen and amen.
Ahhh ouiiii complètement d'accord je pensais la même choses
I love this one of all. I bought your book and find it so informative n easy to follow. I’m a newbie to junk journalism and so appreciate you ❤🥰
These are soooooooooo adorable. I havé so many envelopes that I never know what to do with because they’re not the same size. Now I know……!!!!!!
I have never loved something so much in my life. You are the treasure in Treasure Books. 🌷
So nice of you, thank you :)

I also used them that way in a medical clinic chart room in a summer job as a teenager. Fifty years ago.

Oh yes!! Now I get it !! Thank you :)
Love the spontaneity you pull off so well, Natasha.
Thank you ❤️
Love these! You're actually the one who got me to try sewing on paper. Great stuff! It's so much easier than sewing on fabric. 🙂
I know, right!? 🤣
Me too. I dragged out my sewing machine last week and haven't put it back since. Natasha is amazing!
I have your new book and it is simply wonderful. I would recommend it to anyone that is interested in book and journal making. It was also fun to get to know you a little better too.

So inspired! I have so many ideas. I could create a envelope book to store my postage stamps for use in my projects.
