    Thank you for this brilliant idea. When hand sewing, you can use a fork to indent your holes, this will help with equal spacing.

    I made three of these cute penholders today (except the decoration) and I am quite pleased. The hardest thing for me was finding the right kind of cardstock, as I don´t eat cereals. 😊 The papers that I tried first broke at the folding line. Others were to thin. Then I put a piece of paper in between, to make it sturdier. Now everything is fine and secured. Tomorrow I´ll go on and decorate. Thanks a lot.

      I don’t eat cold cereals, but maybe other food boxes might work? I’m thinking rice, cake mix, etc. I just need to save the boxes to try…

    You have the most creative things to do with our Junk Journals. When we add them, they can no longer be called Junk. They are beautiful journals. Great job as usual.

      Thank you so much! I prefer to call them Treasure Books, because that's what they are to me. I stick with Junk Journals only because people are familiar with that term (but I don't like it)

    I love how you write it down. I take a screenshot and print it out so I can put it beside me when I craft. I’m doing a family tree and as well recording history events that parallel their lives. Thank you for such uncomplicated series and your explanations are so easy to follow. I usually scan through most craft videos as they just like to talk about their lives which I hate....”don’t care “... thanks again, yours is relevant to what you’re doing and you don’t waffle on👌

    I loved the idea of securing the elastic loop with the brad even more than sowing it down. I love the look of stitches, but the brad makes it more special, in my opinion. This idea is definitely a keeper for me.

    Im so glad I found you! You inspired me so much. I got into creating something similar to your envelopes using white paper sacks I picked up at a thrift store. I sewed lace, buttons, used softener sheets and all sorts of textiles. After some time, I put it away for a couple years and then I saw your channel!!. Thought I'd take a peek and now I'm re-inspired! Thank you. I like the process you apply to your creations especially the book page envelopes. Love your accent too. I subscribed yesterday to your channel and have been seeing alot of your past videos. Thank you again. 😊

    I went straight to my craft room and made some of these. Great use for greeting cards that we like to save in our journals…I found that I could place the elastic on the open side to keep the design the right way up. Also for smaller cards I put that on the front as a decorative element meaning I could still open the card to read the sentiment. Leaving the op open on some meant a tuck spot and also a blank folded piece of card on the front as a journaling spot. Lots of ideas from this Natasha…thank you,x

    The side of a butter boxes are about the right size, (we'll get 4 from that!) or the top side of a pudding cup wrap for 4 pudding snacks. (Might yield 2) Sturdy, plus they all have the nice white sides to fold to the outside. Nice backgrounds to decorate.☺️

    What a great idea. It is simply made, but it can be embellished in any way you like. Having a pen at the ready is always a good thing. If you have a themed or specific kind of journal, you can choose exactly the type or design of pen that will work with it and the papers you have used. I, too, like the look of hand sewing, and varying the color thread and type of stitch just adds to the unique look of it. Another win!

    • @lauragaudry3402
      @lauragaudry3402 5 лет назад

      Treasure Books I take an inexpensive pen that doesn’t have a clip or any sort of protruding parts and give it a light sanding with a nail file used for acrylic nails. Then I measure (just eyeball really) the length of the pen and it’s diameter. I then cut out the long narrow rectangle from paper or cloth and place it face down on my work surface. If using paper I simply UHU glue stick the entire surface of the paper then lay the pen beside it and roll the pen up in the paper. The paper overlaps slightly therefore adhering to itself. If using fabric I use
      ModPodge to adhere it to the pen. A mix of white glue and water also works. Then, whether paper or fabric, I cover it all with ModPodge and let it dry. If the top of the pen is flat I will sometimes glue a small button on top. I have also wrapped the pen with embroidery floss, about an inch from the top, placed a dot of glue under the knot and added a charm. I hope that I have explained this as clearly as you explain things in your videos. I so enjoy you and your videos. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, Laura

    Natasha, this is such an excellent project. I actually just altered a composition notebook as a yearly planner/diary and I'm making one/some of these to attach to the cover. Fantastic. Love your tutorials. Be safe & TYFS
