      To be fair, people tend to think about Patrice through the lens of the past, as though he would still be his 41 year old self. He’d be in his mid 50’s right now, so I doubt he’d even have the energy for these “newer” hack comedians.
      He was already starting to get more chill compared to his early 2000 days before he passed. Just look at some of the comics he came up with like Norton and Burr. Those dudes are NOTHING like their early O&A days 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Covid was all these podcasts had going for them, when people literally had nothing better to watch on a consistent basis, then they killed the viewers for any cash they could and those same viewers realized the comedians never actually gave a fuck about them

      I only listened to JRE because Joe was great at getting the guests to lighten up and I really got ro know the guests. It was all about the guests. It only takes 4-5 episodes to know Joe. I listened for a little while to Bill Burr but I stopped before he ruined his comedy for me.

    Andrew in one of his podcast said "some countries need to be occupied" entailing that tibet is better when occupied by china and mocking protesters fighting against chinese communist occupation. Never watched an episode after that. Never will. Heavily invested in his downfall videos. Will watch all of them. Please make more.

      I think the monologue shows how insufferable he is. But maybe doing the little fast forward effect thing and 2x-ing that part would get the point across just fine, without having to hear Schulz for so long.
      Also what if Schulz clips it at that length? Not worth it.

      @@missyelliot6237 for the point that the video essay was trying to get across a full 2 minutes of Shultz monologuing just wastes the viewers time (especially when you consider how it takes up 1/4 of the video). Also, it’s not good if a viewer needs to fast forward the video. I was just trying to give the video creator some gentle advice to help him in his next videos; it’s not a huge deal, just something to consider when creating content in the future.

    the reason the howard stern show was so good in the 2000s was because the laughs were almost always genuine.
    In fact, a few stern fans complained that Robin the cohost laughed at too many things, even though her personality was that type that had the genuine "laughy" attitude.
    but even still, she didnt laugh at every joke someone told. In fact, her personality being the laughy type is obvious if you hear her talk long enough.

    Even when Schulz was barely starting to get big/well known and everyone loved him and the Flagrant 2, I never could enjoy him.... He was always too over the top/fake/loud/annoying and I just didn't "get it" and thought it must be me. Glad to see the world is finally starting to turn tho lol

    Dropped off the Schulz-sphere in '22 due to the pod being un-listenable. Even went to one of his shows, had a bad time since it started late and 2/3 acts were lame. Schulz needs to be humbled, badly.

    As soon as Rogan did their podcast in their newer studio, it went downhill from there.
    That huge ego boost was too much for him and his early detractors could bear.
    The format changed and you can tell he was pivoting to be a Trevor Noah replacement with 3 yes-men/sidekicks.
    This is before the comedy special grift and being a covert Zyn salesman.
    Schulz just comes off really shady now. You have to watch your wallet if he's near you.

    I was a day one listener. Haven't watched in about a year. 4 people talking over each other. AND have a guest. It's too busy. Have 2 hosts at most. Andrew and Akaash, and have Mark and Alex can stay in the background.

    I really can’t believe that none of these guys have had celebrities on for sketches and shit they write. They just all riff for hours and hours. And now fans think that’s what conversations are. It’s nuts. I’m glad viewership is going down. Maybe one or two comedians will evolve and move it along. I thought Segura’s 69 minutes was gonna hit but it was a pretty tough watch.

    I’m an old school Brilliant Idiots fan but I haven’t watched Schulz in months and he used to be one of my favorites. Tbh during Covid his ego started going crazy cause everyone was inside and had nothing better to do. The talk show format was the beginning of the end for the podcast for me. That’s around the time the authenticity went down the drain

    The talk show thing is a good point. It's so oversaturated in the current podcasting space. I know they were trying to be ironic, but making the Adam Friedland show a talk show was a total blunder. Their views are way down.

    iv honestly commented on FS page that the show was less funny, the fans told me that i was joining the "hate train" because im a bot. half of the lasting audience are bots who call people who are leaving "bot"...sad for a comedy platform.

    I was a flagrant fan back when the covid era started. Was even a patreon member. Started to slowly get more and more annoying as time went on. I was an even bigger MSSP fan and seeing them trying to bully shane and ruin both episodes he appeared on in the few years, out of clear jealously, did me in. Haven't watched since.

      @@titvngaming7693 I'm referring to his cadence. Plus it is a fact that Andrew was trying to do a Daily Show type program for Netflix and was in the mix for the Trevor Noah replacement. Andrew's politics are more centered, but I think he'd play ball like Steven Colbert did when he got his late night Show.

    I feel like a lot of podcasts are going down. Personally I know my interest in them is waning. It feels like the podcast boom is finally bursting. It's been a long time coming though hopefully it will eradicate all the garbage and just leave the quality stuff.
