Overview
Genesis's most luxurious model-the G90 sedan-is getting a dramatic redesign for the 2023 model year that will bring it into the modern era. Exterior styling is inspired by the G80 sedan and GV80 SUV but with a few unique touches that symbolize the G90's place at the top of the company’s model hierarchy. Genesis says the brand's twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 will be under the hood as the standard powertrain. Rather than the 5.0-liter V-8 that's the upgrade engine in the 2022 model, we think Genesis will instead offer an all-electric model with two electric motors and a massive battery pack. The G90's interior has been redesigned to pamper occupants with a plethora of unexpected features, including an on-board fragrance diffuser, power-operated doors, an air purifier, and a UV-sterilization chamber in the rear center armrest.
What's New for 2023?
The G90 will receive a complete overhaul for 2023 that modernizes it and brings the flagship luxury sedan's styling in line with the rest of the Genesis lineup.
Pricing and Which One to Buy
Premium: $80,000 (est)
Advanced: $90,000 (est)
Ultimate: $100,000 (est)
We're guessing on price here, but in order for the G90 to continue its value-focused strategy of undercutting rivals such as the Audi A8, the BMW 7-series, and the Mercedes-Benz S-class, it will need to start around the $80,000 mark. When we find out more about the 2023 G90's trim levels and pricing, we'll update this story with that information.
Engine, Transmission, and Performance
All 2023 G90 models will come standard with a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 engine that's found in other Genesis models. An eight-speed automatic is also slated to be standard and we expect both rear- and all-wheel drive arrangements to be offered. The engine makes a stout 375 horsepower and should deliver brisk acceleration. An air suspension will be available and Genesis has said the car will feature a "Chauffeur" driving mode which we assume will create an extra-smooth experience for passengers. An electric variant-likely to use the name Electrified G90-is also expected, but Genesis has not yet released any info about that car. When we get a chance to test drive the new G90, we'll update this story with test results and driving impressions.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Like the exterior, the G90's cabin gets an overhaul for 2023 too, with a fresh design and posh materials that will help it go head-to-head with its rivals. Passenger space is likely to be generous in both the front and the back seats and Genesis has incorporated several features that intend to take the luxury experience up a notch. An on-board fragrance diffuser, for example, and an anti-microbial sanitation system that cleans both the air and items that are brought into the car such as smartphones. Of course, features such as massaging seats and a premium stereo system will also be included.

I have the 2020 G90 and love it. Wow, the rear folder holder of the past now being a recliner, is amazing. This definitely has a leg up on the competition! The auto doors and self parking are cool too. If you have a chauffeur the rear controls are awesome, though with me having kids I went with the T6 AWD. My car is beautiful and I love it, though the 2023 is the next level. Great job Genesis on the interior, exterior and electronics!!!

Loving Genesis' cars! They are hungry, aspirational, like Lexus or Acura in the late 80's early 90's!
Now, those formerly 'hungry' Japanese marques often seem complacent, like so many other German or American brands..
Way to go Genesis! Your cars are a refreshing alternative! And though the 'motoring press' questions the motives behind developing these amazing sedans / saloons first.. Those of us TRUE car people know why. Very impressive stuff.

BEFORE YOU BUY, THERE IS SOMETHING YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT THE GENESIS BRAND, 'THERE IS NO WARRANTY'. That is correct. I bought a 2021 G 90. Genesis promises a 3 years of service or 30,000 miles of service and to bring a loner vehicle to where you are and bring it back. In my experience it didn't happen. I was told no loner vehicles were available. As for scheduling service I was jerked around for two months. They scheduled appointments and cancelled. This is a Genesis issue and some problems they have with dealers. Shortly after getting the car I had problems getting it to start. Kept calling out AAA. Finally the car was dead. There was nothing working , not just the motor. I called Genesis expecting some response. There I got the royal run around. I realized Genesis has no respect for its buyers and no concern for its brand. Finally I had it towed to a dealer and asked where to drop it because it wasn't going to start. The GPS has not worked properly since brand new. I can put in an address that is only a few miles away and it will come up with someplace hundred of miles away with no correlation to the name or address. Genesis will not even fix this. This is my experience. Go on the internet and look up customer complaints and satisfaction. No body gets any service. Yes I really do like the car, but just know there is no warranty or service. They really do not care.

par contre la fanction parking je vois pas l'interet , si tu dois restrer planter devant et attendre qu'elle se gare surtout que la largeur en europe des places est suffisantes 90% du temps.Mais belle voiture il manque un ecran TV à l'arriere attaché au plafond comme la i7
