There are 2 things missing from Arsenal a number 9, which they needed in the summer and 2 the midfield balance totally off . Partey is desperately needed in the 6 position . Rice takes too many touches and side way passes in that role ( his better off suited as a 8) . When you watch Partey , he plays a variety of passes . He plays it long , short and directly through the middle . It’s why last season attack was fluid , this seasons seems like , it’s pass to odegaard and sit back
Rice is a bag of shite. He suits west ham. 110 million for someone who can create, lacks confidence, finds himself in defence opposed to the otherside trying to score, runs like he's shit himself, and is an absolute waste of money.

Mikel should play 4-2-3-1 with Jorginho as the 6 next to Rice. Odegaard as a 10 and Jesus upfront. Saka and martinelli should be a bit narrower allowing Zini and White some room to overlap when necessary. When Zini comes into the midfield area Rice should sit a little deeper, ready to join saliba with big Gabi pushing into Zini's position in case we lose possession and facing a counter attack so that instead of Zini trying to cover that far left wingback of his, he remains and covers Rice's position in midfield. White should overlap more often so as to take some defenders out out position, allowing Bukayo some room to play (Cutting inside, getting into the box or putting in a dangerous cross to Jesus or Nelli into the far post ). Nelli and Jesus can also switch up positions sometimes to give the opposing side something to think about...Jesus can also drop deep joining Odegaard for some linkup play and with Nelli pushing into that 9 position.

This breaks my heart to say about my beloved Arsenal Football Club.
I predicted that we would be lucky to get a point against Fulham. No, I do not have a crystal ball; instead, I rely on my own football analysis. However, I did not want to say that we were going to lose the game because I wanted to keep my hopes alive. I made the same prediction about our game against West Ham United. Fulham played far better than Arsenal, and they could have scored a few more goals to humiliate Arsenal. The team appears tired and in need of rest, and I hope that the international break will help them regain their energy and common sense and return to winning. Again, in my opinion, the league title is all but over. We just need to fight for third or fourth place to maintain our momentum and qualify for the Champions League once more. Arteta needs to start paying attention when your opponent tells you in a media prematch interview that they are going to use the same tactic that WHU used to defeat Arsenal, which Fulham did to defeat Arsenal. The Arsenal supporter I urge you to continue to support the Arteta plan. He still has the ability to make the impossible possible. Arteta, on the other hand, needs to get his act together and start looking for quality strikers. Change your strategy when facing a defensive team, as Arsenal appears to have been unable to penetrate the Fulham and West Ham defences in both games. Good luck in the next game. Gunner for life!
EPL teams have already been familiar with Arteta's 3-2-4-1 tactic and blocked the half-spaces with human walls. If Arsenal keep using the slow build-up tactics, they would need a physically-dominant CF, who can push those human walls and beat them in aerial duels

Arteta has instructed played to be more conservative pragmatic and slow with the buildup to gain control and not concede goals however there isn’t much of a difference compared to last seasons fast pace beautiful and scintillating football

All that those subjective stats are telling us is that Arsenal aren’t relying on a single striker for most of their goals. They’re not exactly leading the way on goal difference but they’re still up there. Picking holes and finding problems in the team is a loser’s mentality, they can use this time to motivate themselves and come back determined to do better.
They are just finding their level. Probably around CL qualification is a good season for them. Last season was the outlier.
Every team that wants to excel most make sure all the players can score with regular unexpected shots from outside d box but Arsenal problem is they only rely on just 3 players to score Saka or Martinelli or Jesus maybe few times Odepass cos he knows best on passes. Arteta needs to rotate more AND play a 3-5-2 against weaker teams because the back 4 is unnecessarily defensive. Finally, Arsenal need to sign Leao to be the main striker.

Zinchenko is not a left back hes a midfielder out of position. Put Havertz up at 9 bc hes got quality to score drop jesus hes garbage in the big moments bench at best. Play ESR hes class and has been lacking gametime. He was so good before injury.

In the summer they brought a goalkeeper they didn't need and decided to not to get a striker which they did need.Pure idiocy from Arteta/Edu or whoever has their finger on the button when it comes to transfers.They clearly needed to prioritize getting striker above all other areas in the team and yet they didn't. Having 2 excellent goalkeepers and zero excellent strikers is not the way you go about trying to win the league.
This season is a big chance for Arsenal (as was last season) as City have had an off year by their standards and they may not have another one like it for a while.Arsenal really should have a comfortable lead at the top of the table and certainly well in front of city now and they aren't.

We needed a cover at LB but let go of Tierney because Arteta is stubborn. Crazy thing was Tierney also played well as a cover for Gabriel.
We bought Havertz for 65M. Maddison went to Spurs for 40M. Maddison would have taken Arsenal to the next level and could have served as another option when Odegaard does his disappearing act against capable opposition.
We didn't buy a striker. Jesus and Nketiah cannot cut it.
We also failed to go for Diaby. Saka has no cover. He has been underperforming since the end of last season.
Look at last season, City had to play in so many more games in all the leagues they qualified. They juggled in exhaustion. And they won all the cups!

Why did this club leave Highbury, my God... Going to the Emirates, killed this club, and falling behind all those years was a huge mistake. This club doesn't have a proper striker, when they used to employ Bergkamp, Henry, Anelka, Suker, and Kanu. Now we have Jesus, who fucking admitted scoring isn't his best quality!? Why don't pundits analyse possible weaknesses in both personnel and coaching? Because I can tell you for certain arsenal have been worked out, and they have a weakness at left back and up front. On top of that many of their 'world class' stars have been overrated by the media, the premier league is bang average in terms of quality at the moment.

Arsenals problem is simple. This club was built for speed and progressive ball passing from the back line to in-between our opponents lines. Not this slow ponderous build up style that let's our opponents gets set up in there defencive shape which forces the players to pass the ball around the horseshoe of death . In the game against Fullamtoday Martinelli spent m9st of the game standing level with their back line in acers of space. He got just 1 quick break pass and we scored on it. That was the 1 and only time all game we went to our players strengths and it yielded results. For the rest of the game we walked the ball up the pitch and pretty much did nothing with it.
We don't have the right players for this nroew style. The best joke of it is that we got Raya to help with this quick ball progression and we have used that style from the opening whistle of the season.
This change of style has Odegaard and Jesus coming back deeper , it has kept White from moving up the pitch to help Saka out with overlaps, stopped Martinelli from receiving line breaking pass at speed with face to goal, Stopped Zinchenko from making medium to long range passes to break their lines, stopped Saliba from moving the ball upfield quickly and literally killed our offense from being productive as they are running into a brickwall of 10 men all set up to defend. When the forwards get the ball in the box it is more often than not they have their backs to goal and any chances we get are mostly half chances.
When this club struggled last season it was when we played like we are playing this whole season, slow.
Arteta totally over reacted to what happened last season and has shackled the players. We have had a really good game all season .If he doesn't change things up we will be hard pressed to qualify for Champions League.

I agree with most of what has been said. I have been supporting Arsenal since 1948 and I have never been so bored with them as I have been during the last two games. This club may be too big for the manager and the supporters will be taking a close look at their performance in the fairly near future.
