The amp sounds good, the price doesn’t. I can get a fender rumble 500 combo and a Darkglass hyper luminal comp and an alpha omega overdrive pedal for about the same price maybe even less.
Yep. I have a Hartke HD500, a Darkglass X Ultra Microtubes, a Darkglass Hyperluminal and a Joyo Double Thruster for additional distorsion. I connect the Darkglass X Ultra Microtubes through the Return channel of the effects loop of the amp and sounds amazing.
I am about to order the 210 D as my main amp... with the footswitch it would be insane! I wish more people were making dee dive videos on how to save presets and all of that, not even darkglass has videos up yet...
These sound great, but as far as future amps go, it’d be cool if you could get ahold of the new Trickfish combo when it comes out! In theory, it should be soon. 🤞🏻
Awesome clip as always, Patrick 😎🤘🏻🎸 these combo amps sound pretty cool and the drives sound killer. I personally like how the vintage microtubes circuit sounds on these amps.
@@patrickhunter groovy…the vintage series along with the X series are my personal favorite pedals from darkglass. Speaking of which, I plan to purchase another darkglass pedal to my backup pedalboard. I was thinking about buying either the microtubes X or the b1k
Honestly, with amp modelers and profilers available (some at very reasonable prices), I don't think I will ever buy an amp anymore. I still check out videos of new amps and my reaction is always...mhe
Yeah, I was about to write something like that. I rarely play with my amp anymore. Either there is one at the venue, or none is needed because there's decent monitoring in place. I'm still happy that I have an amp just in case, but I wouldn't want to have my effects in it. I want to have them available anytime as a pedal.
I am generally not a fan of combos, but I am seriously considering the 1x12 version of this one as a portable solution for smaller, club-sized gigs. What I am REALLY hoping for is an active cabinet version of the 1x12 that can link to these new combos and\or accept line-level inputs from ADAM, A-O Phi, and MT Infinity pedals. (I say this as a happy ADAM owner)
It does not sound naturally. That is why i stay with my GK RB400. I believe, 10-15 years - and then we will have decent simulators of our amps/cabinets.

I’ve been aching to try out Trickfish, especially since they’re also in Texas!

Dude, VMT FOR LIFE. Always sounds so damn good to my ears and was my “always on” base tone in my old band

Does the 112 or 210 need a second speaker to make all the 500watts?
Yes, an 8 ohm cabinet. There are only 250 watts available without an extension cab.
Powered cabs to add to these would be perfect!
This only makes me keep hopes that Darkglass did this and Aguilar released their head updates that maybe Aguilar might push a combo amp
One con of the analog is that the DI out has no cab sim on it. I was kinda bummed when I found out about this.

Yeah, exactly. When i purchased Helix Plugin i don't want any pedals and amps anymore. It's just got everything any bassist need
I've been trying to comment on all of Darkglass' stuff that we want a modeler with all of their currently available distortions effects and cab sims.
@@sidthebassist89 some IR of darkglass cabs are available. I have a few, they are not bad
@Pesso86 I use the Darkglass ADAM while performing and using Forrester's IRs gives me the sound I like 🤌🤌🤌

Yeh it’s awesome. But so are Bentleys
Infinity seems like the same engine as that Exponent head
Almost the same!
@patrickhunter i got an offer for the microtubes 500 2x10 combo for $900. Im heavily considering buying and making it my live rig. Thoughts?
♡
@@kalidesu We have some concepts.
Do you have neck illusion stickers on your neck? Looks like the same one so have on my dingy 😊
Yes! Probably my favorite $15 mod ever hahahaha

Lack of footswitch capabilities to
Manage all these nice features seems like a huge oversight in these amps.
Mine broke after first use 😭 it sounded so good though got a return on the way
Can you add an espresso machine?
Just bought this setup and wondering how to activate the Gate on my M500 V2? Thanks
The Noise Gate is only available on the Digital Combos!
Your line at 03:02 sounds very much like Hush by Tool !
Sick...
❤
🤘🤘🤘
I got my Music Man Darkray
This is next!
The next thing after that has to be a Darkglass pedal so you can run 3 Darkglass drives in series 😉
Korg?
Pat Hunter. Yes. Agreed. These boxes sound really cool ! / Nice playing...
I would like to see some reviews of the new Sunn Systems stuff when it drops
YESSSS! Just learned they were coming back the other day, I’m gonna do my best!
