I think companies can't go wrong with an unscented lip, but there is so much enjoyment I get from the scent of vanilla cake 😂 lip products.
As much as I love glossy and creamy lip products, I avoid buying them because scents/flavours cause chapping on my lips, even if I have a lip balm underneath. 😭

Lip gloss is one of my top favorite makeup categories, but I often forgo it for something with SPF. Good SPF lip glosses and SPF lip products in general are lacking, so I'm really looking forward to your video on that! The Naked Sundays SPF lip oil was next on my list to try anyway.

Yes! Most spf lip products taste terrible and also aren’t as moisturizing on the lips. The first brand that makes a high SPF lip gloss or lip balm that is cosmetically elegant and doesn’t have that awful sunscreen taste, they will make so much money!
Have you tried using a spf lipbalm and then a gloss or lip oil on top? I think Nivea has a spf lip balm
An brown lip gloss at the drug store that I think is super underrated is the Wet n Wild high shine catsuit in the shade cedar later, it has a lot of pigment so I prefer to wear it very sheer and blotted, but the color is so nuanced for being from wet n wild, and Im pretty sure it's under 5 dollars!

Why nobody ever mentions that the inn beauty lip glaze causes those „white inner ring“. Every time when I wear this and speak. I saw this also happens to emilienoel in her recent video when she was wearing the lip glaze. Although the scent and feel is gorgeous

I vote yes for the video on pH adjusting lip products. I have the merit mapleton and never realized it was pH adjusting but it makes so much sense because my lips end up lightly stained.

A lip spf video?! I can’t wait! Good lip spf are so hard to find because of American sunscreen regulations and spf taste. I have tried ONE American-market chemical lip spf that I couldn’t taste. It’s the O’Keefe’s lip repair spf 35. My “daily use” lip spf is Rohto Mentholatum Melty cream lip spf 25 pa+++. It comes in a few scents (including fragrance free) but I like the milk vanilla one.

⭐️I’m looking forward to your lip spf video. In the video, can you please mention which products include UVA protection & are broad spectrum?
UVA are the rays that cause cancer & destroy collagen-thus are a big source of lips loosing volume, becoming thinner, discolouration, and wrinkled with age & sun exposure.
I went to two drugstores (in Canada) last week and nearly every lip spf product only had UVB protection (only protecting from burning). I could only find 2 that had “broad spectrum” (UVB/burning & UVA/aging & collagen destroying protection), but with ‘broad spectrum’ they don’t measure the level of UVA protection, only that it’s proportionate-meaning the higher UVB protection the more UVA protection it will have, but because rays that are blocked/absorbed are rated by a wide percentile range what’s deemed “proportionate” can vary drastically.
(As a theoretical example, a broad spectrum SPF 30 may seem high enough for UVB protection, but we don’t know what the UVA protection is. I’d estimate it to be no higher than PA++ which only has the ability to block UVA rays at 50-70%.)
💠So, at minimum, lip sunscreen products should be broad spectrum & have a high SPF number.
But ideally, the best lip protection would be broad spectrum SPF 50+ PA++++ (and with star boosters, denoted as a circle containing stars, as the higher the number of stars the more even the protection will be on the skin).
The two broad spectrum lip spf’s I found were by Blue Lizard (but it was only SPF15, so with that low coverage it would have negligible UVA protection), and SunBum’s SPF30 broad spectrum water resistant (I’m hoping for something a bit better & more protective, plus this was banana flavoured, and for a product I will reapply consistently, I wasn’t as thrilled about the banana.)

Something I didn't love about this video is that it felt like you mostly spoke about the swatches? You even portrayed new products you hadn't worn before. For me the most important part is to know how long they last, how they feel on the lips, much more than the color they leave in the back of the hand.
My questions are :
1- Is it moisturizing??
2- How its compared to the BUTTER gloss?
I was just done shopping online 😢 and i have put the fat lip oil by nyx in my bag & then removed it 🙃 because I'm not sure about the formula! Is it gonna DRY my lips even more?? Because i have that kind of lips where they dry so much if I put lip balm or any lip product!!!

I'd pass on the Fat Oil - it's just a gloss to me, IMO. My lips are like yours & the only lip oil I haven't gotten dryness from is the Rituel de Fille. I'm curious about the Merit & the Milani Fruit Fetish Lip Oil [since I love the balm version], but... Honestly, I feel like I just need to reach for other products for hydration. I need more moisture than a typical lip oil can provide.
Here's my lip routine if you need any tips 💕:
01. When I'm doing my nighttime skincare, I apply my hydrating essence, face oil, & eye cream to my lips
02. When I'm done w/ that, I apply CeraVe Healing Ointment or a lip mask to lock it in [go w/ fragrance free if your lips are sensitive]
03. A couple of times a week, I'll use my glycolic acid toner tk exfoliate my lips - wet a q tip, gently rub it back & forth to remove dead skin, wait 15-20 seconds, then rinse it off & apply the products from step 01
04. Always rinse your lips off & use the oil/healing ointment or mask after oral hygiene! Toothpaste & mouthwash are INCREDIBLY drying
05. Drink w/ a straw rather than from the lip of a glass or bottle when you can - the more often your lips get wet, the water escapes your lips' moisture barrier
I know it's high maintenance, but it helps me a lot!
Would love to. More about the how moisturizing each of these are…will they leave my lips parched feeling or more hydrated after wear?
The only one I've tried that's hydrated my lips is the Rituel de Fille, but I'm compelled to try the Merit, as well... I've tried NYX Fat Oil & the Ami Cole & they both left my lips feeling dry afterwards.
I'm honestly disenchanted by the promise of skincare benefits from a lip oil... I think I'm just gonna stick to balms or lip masks.
Even the Butter Glosses from NYX are more hydrating than some of these lip oils [that are just thick glosses that happen to have oils in the formula]. 😭

romand has another lip gloss line that they released late last year called glasting color gloss! as a huge romand lover i didn't really like the glasting water glosses that much :((( their new glosses are definitely so much better and i do hope amanda gives them a try bcoz the formula is so gooood

I love the Fenty glosses -all of the formulas - but I HATE the Lifter glosses with a passion. The smell/taste is overpowering and unpleasant to me and something in the formula always leaves my lips slightly red and irritated. I haven’t tried the plumping version.
Yes, The Lifter Glosses , I bought one couldn't stand it, got rid of it tried a different color about 6 months later and same results gross taste in the back of my throat, just sucks so bad because they were pretty
Essence gloss is excellent but smells terrible. The gloss bomb is fantastic and very moisturizing. The lifter gloss is horrible (felt the shimmer, dried my lips out) . Nars's gloss is bae 😂. The butter gloss is great and shiny. The covergirl yummy gloss is A+. I bought the hourglass gloss because of you and I want at least two more 😂. Got the kosas gloss as a Sephora birthday gift and yuck. It smelled spoiled when I got it in February. I don't like the fat lip oil. my daughter has it and it doesn't wow me. The Revlon and Pat McGrath glosses are fantastic.
