The lip liners that are currently trending in kbeauty are not meant to define your lips but to cover up your natural lip line and work as lip base before you go in with a glossy lip tint or velvet lip tint. That’s why it’s a big and chubby pencil instead of a thin one. This trend is called “overlip” and it makes doing ombre lips a lot easier! And yes, I think the shade you got in the dasique pencil is meant to be a contour shade. Also….Amuse is pronounced the way it’s pronounced in English 😅 and dasique rhymes with basic.
Hi Amanda thanks for making another K-beauty video! I really love your videos! I just wanna let you know that Judydoll isn’t actually a Korean brand, but from China. I follow a lot of asian youtubers from Korea and Japan and have realized that the Chinese makeup brands are making a breakthrough into their markets! There is a lot of neat brands like Colorkey, Into You, Hedon, Girlcult, Flortte and Jill Leen which are super popular in china right now. Do you think it’s possible to make a video in the future trying these brands out? Love you tons 💜💜💜
Unless you have been keeping up with the state of things in China, I highly recommend you do *not* put anything made in China on your face, on your body, or in your body. I can back this up with lots of videos.
I came here for a correction about Judydoll, glad to see that other people know they're from China. Also Zeesea is amazing, and their daughter brand Palace Identity is so luxurious
The big chunky glitters are usually placed around the lower eyelids, not always on the upper~ if you've seen them, Korean beauty RUclipsrs may sometimes wear looks where they place the chunky glitters in the middle of the lower eyelids or beside where the tail of their cateye eyeliner ends. It's a very pretty way of wearing them! Edit: yeah I definitely gasped "Oh my god" completely in sync with you when u were swatching the judydoll single shadows. Omg! I want them!!
Thanks for trying Asian beauty brands, would love to see a part 2! Would you consider doing a video on makeup that you dislike or viral products that don't work for you?
Oh, the melting lip I have heard about from another content creator, I want to try the fig shade such a pretty soft mauve shade, love your k-beauty hauls!
I would love to see a Asian-beauty mascara comparison. I’ve heard they have light weight mascara formulas so they won’t weigh the eyelashes down. As someone who struggles to hold a curl on my straighter-lashes, that sounds amazing!
I haven't used it personally, but I have seen tons of people swear by the Clio Kill Lash in regards to holding a curl- it always looks super pretty on everyone I've seen use it!!
I LOVE the idea of a K-beauty lip tint compendium. I am very curious about the new Etude Over Glowy Tint, and would be interested what you felt about that one as well. Also if you are looking at K-beauty lip tints but struggling to pick a color, Minsco here on RUclips does great swatches that I find much more accurate and helpful than brand photos - she has subtitles!
Amuse dew power is so good!!! I really hope you enjoy it. I would like to add that the amuse puffs are horrible. They disintegrate after like 5 washes. I would definitely recommend the pony effect puffs. They're similar to a beauty blender where you have to run the puff under water and it will expand. It's far more robust than any blender I've tried.
@@freebee172 ofc! just look for a swatches and reviews to find what suitable for you, I'm a middle eastern and sometimes their shades are too pale for me, but still it's worth it
I second this! I heard that they were good for dry, mature skin, and good to wear in winter. But my skin has really been going through it (dermatitis, flaking, just gross, no idea what's causing it) and the ones I have tried so far seem to really catch on my dry spots. I have tried the YSL encre de peau and am currently using the Missha. I also just bought the Tir Tir mini but haven't tried it yet. Just frustrating because things that are supposed to be good for problem skin (like when you are sick) like the It Cosmetics CC cream are super unflattering on me right now. I am having to stick to very specific tinted moisturizers but I am holding out hope that there is a cushion foundation out there that might work for me 😭
Dasique is pronounced day-zick! Dont feel self conscious about it ❤❤ im only letting you know for information, not to point out any mistakes. Im so excited you got their palette! My favourite is sunset muhly.
Realtalk chinese eyesahdows have my heart 😭♥️🫶✨️ like it's so soft and pigmented I think about florasis and flowerknows bc their packaging and quality is so amazing
stars in my eyes throughout this whole haul hahaha I can't even im so excited to see you try it all. The last lip product is the one im most excited to see
K beauty shimmer, gloss and sheerness is what I looove and would make myself but for more tanned skin tones. 😅 everything shows up super pale or super red/pink on me. Appreciate your swatches as it’s so tough to tell on their purchasing sites!
I love most of K-beauty products except for eyeshadow palettes. I like smokey eye make-up but K-beauty eyeshadow palettes are mostly for soft look style. Just not my style. But if someone who likes soft eye make up look, they will love K-beauty eyeshadow palettes.
Would be interested in a follow-up review videos from these products. :) in particular the cushions and the lip products. the mascara I am interested in trying out myself too!
You should try out Holika Holika and Too Cool For School. These Korean brands were used to be popular but now people kinda forgot about them, which is unfair, in my opinion. I like Holika Holika Jelly blushes with "bouncy" formula (they come with the cushion-like packaging with a puff). Lip tints from TCFS are amazing (especially the peach one) and their 3-color sculptors are the cult classic.
I love these videos from you and the style of swatches and descriptions you give is so easy to digest and i feel i get a true picture of what it will feel like or be like on me. I think your pronunciations are fine and just keep doing what you do.
I'd love to have a comparison video for the different glasting products you have! I was trying to shop around online but honestly it got overwhelming pretty quick 😅
Amanda PLEASE do some in depth reviews on asian beauty brands, it would be more helpful cuz all your asian beauty videos i've seen so far are hauls, which are nice but they don't help me choose which products to get. would love to know your opinions after trying the products for some time. full brand reviews would be really nice! love your vids!
Applying bigger glitters using a flat shader brush tip for pinpoint application that isn't too flimsy or too stiff anywhere on the eye gives an extra sparkle. Sometimes I use nyx glitter glue for extra stick, but sometimes i forget, and not much fall out for pinpoint application. I've been playing around with this, and it's fun.
Dasique is famous for their glitters, but their matte shadows are usually described as watercolor effect. They’re transparent with a clear look to them, but not very buildable, so probably not suitable for a western audience
just found your channel and i am lovingggg ittttt! girl please i NEED a video on how to make natural skin makeup last 😩 my skin looks absolutely gorgeous when i don’t use powder heavily everywhere, but then my makeup is gone in 3h 😓
Out of all the Korean brand eyeshadow palettes I tried, Hince and Dasique seem to be on the higher quality level compared to others. I especially love Hince products and their eyeshadow palettes arent exceptions - nice pigment and color stories. Would love you to try!
i have two unleashia’s glitterpedia palettes and i love them. For my everyday makeup i like the really natural look, and its so easy to achieve that look with these palettes. I must say that the best thing about them is obviously the glitters, they are super pretty.
You should try the Judydoll Hearty Lip Tint, it's one of those melty lip balm glosses. I've got the shade 6 Cocoa Sauce, it's a pretty brown shade and feels great on 😊
Have you ever tried the Shiseido POP PowderGel eye shadows? I think you might like Suru- Suru Taupe or Zoku-Zoku Brown. It seems they may be being discontinued but several shades are still available on their website and at some stores. The compacts are magnetic and stack together. They are great..Thanks for showing us these items.
Hey, Amanda! Loved your video (as always ❤). I was wondering if you could do a video comparing different cushion foundations. I really want to try one (dry, sensitive skin), but there are so many I don't know where to start 😅 Thank you so much for all your hard work and passion 😊
That second judydoll single reminds me of one of my fav single potted shadows! It's called caffeine queen from dose of colors. It's the most beautiful cool leaning neutral brown satin with little Silver mica reflects. I wear it so so often!
Hey Amanda! I got so excited to see the title but then got disappointed that it was about unproportional amounts of lip glosses (so many!!:) and cushion foundations. I wish you reviewed more of K beauty highlighters, contour palletes (have great cool tones) Blushes or even eye products. Especially Highlighters since they have this craze about the glass skin and I assume they should be good at creating that effect with highlights :)
Even if the Unleshia isn't your jam, now that you have it, I'd love to see a makeup playtime where you try a glittery kpop or Douyin look. That's really the vibe these palettes are geared for, and while I think that reporting on how they don't fit your usual style is valid and helpful, I do think a lot of Western creators miss out if they don't even TRY to engage with them as intended! Not expecting you to change your mind-I just think it'd be fun!
Hey! Thanks for making the video love to see people try asian products. FYI im sure many people have already told you - some of these are products from Japan too e.g the cushion foundations!
I wish you would have made it clear that this is ASIAN beauty, not just Korean... Chinese brands get a lot of crap just for being made in China when it is SOOO unfair!!
I agree. Judydoll got lots of praise this video and they are a Chinese brand. Wish that the title reflected that because I find that Kbeauty is the only type of Asian beauty that is heavily praised :(
Will clarify this the next time they are featured! I have a lot more experience with japanese and korean beauty products but am slowly branching out- safe to say these formulas are very special :)
@@AmandaZ they really are!! Another brand you need to try is Joocyee! They have very luxurious formulas!! I'm obsessed with them!! Also Flower knows, but they are more widely known 😊

Really appreciate this review, even if the items you feel are not a good fit for you are what I would be drawn to. 😊 Generally on me, western style formulations leave me looking like a painted Easter egg.
We have similar taste. Since I was a teenager I couldn't find makeup that looks good and I like the look of. As I have sensitive skin up to now I can't find makeup cosmetics that won't irritate me. I wanto to say this video made me want to buy 80% of the stuff you showed. That says a lot. Now are times when I see products that I like which is very unusual for me. Flat, powdery finishes, very heavy and high coverage, "you can tell I have makeup on" I saw back then I hated. Now the beauty industry with it's formulas really surprise me. I like a little bit of the wet look for some occasions too. Tha packaging of some of these products is so pretty. Producers, learn. The cusion foundations and ghe tirtir have such a nice packaging. Also, the boxy one color and translusent packaging of ghe lip glosses. They make you smile. 🙂
I purchased the glitterpedia in Lavendar and ended up giving it to a friend. Living in Korea, younger women tend to use the round sparkles in their Aegyo-sal (under eye)
Just got the Juicy Pang blush from your last video in RD01. It is what I wished the Benefit lip and cheek tint to be. I am still waiting for the JP persimmon color.
Enjoyed this one, Amanda - I've also been buying a lot of Asian beauty brands recently, both makeup and skin care. You might like the Romand Lip Mate pencils - they look exactly like the Dasique you showed except there is a small rounded brush under the cap on the opposite end, which is great for blending and blurring the product into the lips. Also, I'm interested in trying a cushion foundation but worried that so many shades run too warm/yellow for my skintone (which is on the cooler neutral side). Any recommendations for brands that have some definitively neutral shades? Thanks again!
I have seen you and everyone on RUclips talk about space cowboy as the wettest nicest shadow ever, but I've never been able to swatch it. I recently travelled to the US and was super excited to see Ritz from ColourPop at Target. I immediately bought it, but when I swatched it, I don't know if it had dried out, but it was wassy chunkier than I imagined it to be. Now I don't know if I just disagree with the entire world on this 😂
Thank you. I'm disappointed the cushions tend tp be fragrance in South korea because they look so nice. I wanted to try Clio so bad. Amuse was highly praised too. Tirtir has like 4 versions. Great video!
If you had to choose either Judydoll 03 or Klavuu in glam brown (from your other k beauty video) which one would you choose? Deciding between these two sparkly browns hehe
I am enjoying your introduction to K-Beauty because that is what it is for me and I am really interested in all makeup BUT... WHERE Trek you order it or buy it. I waited all video to hear! 🤔😊😀😆😆 Please answer.
I don't know what happened to my comment but Amanda did I miss where to buy or order these products. Thanks for these great videos. By the way Sephora had very few of their eye shadows during their sale and now they are loaded with all "new" colors. That was planned and mean!
The lip liners that are currently trending in kbeauty are not meant to define your lips but to cover up your natural lip line and work as lip base before you go in with a glossy lip tint or velvet lip tint.
Helena Rubenstein did the screw mascara first, which goes back to the 50ies!
An Amanda Z Kbeauty video? Yes please
So the dasique eyeshadow palette has a very light shade because it is meant to kind of make your eyelids clean and even
Hi Amanda!! Could you talk about wet n wild's nudecomer eyeshadow? Pls :)
Not sure when you filmed this but Diamond Dog is back but it’s a UD website exclusive! Kackie got it and used it in a video recently!!
18 seconds gang?😂🎉
😂😂
I'm wondering if that Daique palette is comparable to the makeup by Mario ethereal palette? Seems the same concept? Are the formulas similar?
they do feel similar!
I am enjoying your introduction to K-Beauty because that is what it is for me and I am really interested in all makeup BUT...
WHERE Trek you order it or buy it. I waited all video to hear! 🤔😊😀😆😆 Please answer.
What is the shade name for the Judydoll lip product? I can’t find 02 on the link to it. Love it!
Are you still doing the red blush video?
yes!! I bought a bunch (like a lot) during the sephora sale so im going through and testing them now :)
I don't know what happened to my comment but Amanda did I miss where to buy or order these products. Thanks for these great videos. By the way Sephora had very few of their eye shadows during their sale and now they are loaded with all "new" colors. That was planned and mean!
How long did it take for you to get your products?
I think about a week! But I chose “in stock” items- some items take longer
Love what you purchased except for the eyeshadow palette. I don’t like the glitters.
The two singles are my jam⭐️⭐️💯
