    I had a Crosman 1377 back in H.S. (1978). Best bang for the buck. Just bought a 1322. I did look at the umerx, but right off the bat I knew which one would prevail, even before watching this great review.

    Love it. I manufacture a lot of parts for the 13XX and “test” it quite a bit. You make a lot of good points in this video. I would like to add that the 13XX makes a great backpack or survivalist airgun. And because it’s so easy to mod and go crazy with it I think a lot of folks get attached to it. Even if they move on to something fancier. Keep on keeping’ it real! Subscribed.

    When pumping up the StrikePoint, I put my right hand over the breech and trigger housing. That gives me plenty of grip and then just pump... easy peasy mon... my biggest gripe with the strikepoint is the front sight. I'm seriously considering cutting off the shroud of the front sight. The Crossman especially with the Steel Breech is very versatile.

    Thanks for being honest, I love the 1322 2240 platforms they have stood the test of time and are quality built .
    I have 2 both moded of course.
    Unfortunately on some of the sponsored channels they don't give any negative info , I bought a crosman icon there were only 2 reviews one was glowing but no mention of the bolt that feels like it has sand in it or the fact that rhere were no attachment points for sling , bipod , light or handle .
    I'm happy with my Gun but some fore knowledge would have been nice .
    The other gun you don't hear bad things about but is pure crap in Benjamin Trail NP pistol Gen 1 .
    I can't say enough bad things about that gun , So again thank you for being honest and giving the true picture of what you get for your money

    I am glad I saw this review before I bought the strike force. It was cheaper so I was tempted. But I bought the New 1377c with a stock instead. You saved me some money. The sights might look simple and very plasticity on the crosman. But the peephole sight is really good in carbine mode. You don't really need optics unless you find them easier. Everybody is different. But the barrel quality is superb, its a straight shooter. I didn't even have to adjust windage for point of impact. I only had to adjust the vertical for range. Thanks for saving me money. I got a great little shooter.

  • @tomlodge1256
    @tomlodge1256 Год назад +3

    Yeah... I'm told that some folks just cut off the front shroud of the umarex, but I'd be concerned there for strength of the sight without the shroud. The crossman for me was hard to measure, I've improved valves on my crossman, but tho I like the Umarex, Crossman has it outdone on pretty much EVERY LEVEL, but I keep shooting the Umarex to prove to myself that i can be accurate with it... you can, but Crossman makes it more intuitive... :D given the choice, Crossman for me all the way.

    The lack of aftermarket for the umarex strike point is the only thing that deters me from purchasing it. That gun would do a lot better if it came with an optional shoulder stock like the crosman does. And maybe a way to swap in a longer barrel and use a steel breach. And it's a shame because I like the look of the gun. If anyone ever comes up with a aftermarket shoulder stock whether I'd be 3D printed or actually pressed I will buy one of those in a heartbeat

    While I have handled Crosman pistols since the early 70s and as such have lamented how they just kept cutting corners; at least there are aftermarket fixes to make them somewhat worthy again. FWIW; I have a 1377, 1322, and a custom shop carbine and try to get them all outside now and then. I also have an early 80s 1377 that was more intelligently made than the others. So, I figured; may as well get the Strike Point and see what they did to correct the gross negligence of Crosman. Well, like you said; they made a worse copy and even did other annoying things like a grip and trigger sized for small hands (???) on a large pistol. I barely use it and have yet to throw it over the hill. Thanks for telling the truth. Now, let's put metal breeches on all the Crosman guns and get serious. ;-)

Jeez, ok, yeah outta the box, the Uma sucks, but... a few easy-to-do tweaks and it's pretty good: Cut off the shroud, cut/replace trigger spring w/shorter, file off that nasty corner on trigger guard. The Uma has a better breech, barrel screws in, it's pretty quiet, hits hard, decent accuracy. And, you can jerry-rig a rail on top to add optics.

    15 pumps on my Crosman 22 all day long.
    It kicks when fired. I will be adding a 14” barrel next that will take it close to 650 fps.
