I love both, but 'Gift Horse' is the one for me. The lyrics, the song structure, the production, the deep twangy space-bass and the metronomic beast drumming is all *chef's kiss*. And the video is brilliant too. This album sonically reminds me of Gang of Four, Big Black and Scottish band called Sons & Daughters.
Dancer is by far my favorite song & music video from last year 👏. A really unique fun awesome tune 👍. I highly recommend watching the superb music video!
Cheers guys and T Super! Just watched the videos for a second listen and loved them both. Prefer the Gift Horse video (wild!), but Dancer is my song winner although only just. The singer's voice reminds me of Jason Williamson of Sleaford Mods but without the Nottingham accent!
The delivery of the repetitive lines "so to speak" and "and the sweat" on dancer is perfection, and has me totally hooked... so to speak.
