He's playing with the word "pirouette" to make it onomatopeic - notice his quick twirl as he sings it, just to emphasise it, almost with a cheeky wink to the camera. The simularity with Sleaford Mods is the semi-spoken vocal, IDLES are better songwriters & musicians (esp. the drummer, who is an metronomic beast). I'd recommend having a listen to 'Grace', which is a lot softer and has brilliant lyrics, although my favourite track on the current album is 'Gift Horse' (which they did an amazing live version of on Jimmy Fallon in January).
This song rocks, so to speak
The guys are AMAZING in concert!!!
And the sweat!
Yes live idles in the basement- beachland ballroom is incredible
You should check out some live clips to get the total IDLES magic.
Sleaford Mods reference is spot on 🤩 the real English sound
Gift Horse off that same album is a much better track in my opinion. Check it out. Idles are probably my favorite band of the last 10 years.
Best rock band out there today

Seriously, do you not know of dancing cheek-to-cheek by having your heads turned to the side so your cheeks are touching?
