- The scenario that unfolded in the motorbike race was even crazier. In a first for the category, Kevin Benavides seized the lead on the very last day, knocking Toby Price from the top of the general standings to prevail by 43 seconds, the narrowest winning margin ever in the Dakar.

That scene when one biker was giving the other biker a hand lifting his machine...almost brought tears to my eyes. How beautiful, the Dakar spirit. There's competition AND comraderie.

Todo espectacular, pero no vi a Joan Bang Bang en el clip, este Dakar fue espectacular, y me fue más fácil fácil verlo en RUclips que por #starplus, ya que si no lo ves en vivo, tienes que verlo con un día de atraso, espero lo arregleen el próximo año.

you could do a 1 hour long Bike highlights and still not catch all the highs and lows... :)
Just annoying cut scenes...
Very pretty video but no real substance, which is what you could say about alot of the Dakar coverage. The coverage could be so much more. Stories about heroic desperate efforts, tragic losses, and the under dogs coming through could really make the Dakar stuff of legend.
The amount of shills touting good coverage this year was impressive. Still garbage coverage. 5 minutes for 8000km of racing is a joke!
Editing so horrid, at this point it's just better to watch still photographs of the event. Cheers!
lmfao, 14 days and you come up with 5 minutes of footage? get real where is like hours of this? really not that hard tbh.. like 1 or 2 guys could edit that in a week

I mean, it’s been a thing for years now. If a competitor stops to help another competitor who is endangered, the first guy gets that time back. Usually to trigger the “trippy” (device on every vehicle to alert an accident or call medical attention). This scenerario is usually less than 10 minutes so no big difference in overall results. No one’s gonna jump from 10th to 1st and no one ever had.
However, if a competitor stops due to mechanical problems or what have you, that time will be lost because it’s part of participating in the hardest race in the world. Not only how fast one can drive, but how safe one can drive and how prepared is the machine they’re driving.
If you’ve been following the stages results in this channel, it’s not hard to tell when a competitor had mechanical problems that made them lose time and when their human integrity was endangered and were helped by other competitors.
