I meet Jan's cousin today. Best day I've had in a long time. He played drums in the 80s so he knew all the hair bands too. Got lots of good dirt. I told him to make sure his cousin knew she was my idol. That the entire group was my idol. When he said his cousin played in viven I could tell he didn't think I would know them. Boy was he wrong. Viven meant the world to so many young girls who wanted to rock. They started a revolution in the music industry. Whereas the runaways might have come first and a couple solo acts like Lita Ford or Joan jett. But it was viven that showed the world that girls/womem can rock just as hard as the men could. These ladies have no clue how many lives they changed. I wasn't musically inclined but I used their example to crush it several other male dominated industries. My first show was Vixen, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Slaughter, and Vince Neil headlining before his return to Motley Crue. The drummer played for Slaughter, and she also played the keys for Vince Neil. +Too Wild You said it... And while I'm getting older, I refuse to grow up. Turn the Marshall to 11 and rock on! "Music" today is as bland as bad vanilla ice cream lol...
Hey man, not all of us are killing music. My dad played guitar in a band called Lippstikk and they opened for Great White back in 88. I heard of hair bands and I was like this is great.
Too Wild. Well we rocked in L.A. from the late 70's through the 80's. Never got to Nashville though. Got promoted at a Bank and ended up in Fresno CA and now Bakersfield CA. Holy crap, what the hell happened to me?! Give me my drums, some beer and my hair! Damn! I miss those times
OR the bands lived in Nashville & moved to LA...only to die there. I lived in Nashville all through this era & knew so many bands that split to LA to try & make it big.
The 80's were a blast! Music was about having FUN, celebrating music & life & rockin out. Live concerns will never be the same as the 80's.
Remember standing in line all night for General Admission tickets so you could squeeze & crawl your way up to front row? LOL - AWESOME!
Amen......
The good ol days are over, we only have memories now 😢
All the MTV videos to watch.
It would be sad if the memories weren’t epic!!
I guess growing up in 80s makes me still think these girls look pretty hot. EXTREMELY flammable back then. But still hot.
I LOVE these Ladies , their Band & Definitely their Music. VIXEN RULES 👍🏻🪙👍🏻
My first show was Vixen, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Slaughter, and Vince Neil headlining before his return to Motley Crue. The drummer played for Slaughter, and she also played the keys for Vince Neil. She’ll know this… Vince was so hammered he fell off stage singing how sweet home and he was throwing it up like 1 more! We were like No more! 😂 classic
Jan Kuehnemund looks like perfection at 1:45. Sad that she died just when they were all getting back together a few years ago.
agreed. she was hot RIP Jan x
Yup.....I wouldn’t trade with this generation today for a million dollars...we had so much fun in the 80’s...packed beaches, clubbing, parties every weekend...hair & clothes...no worries about people taking videos and pics of you all the time....lol
Yes the 70's were nice too...Families did things together.
@John Doe I was born in the 90's and I wish I could've lived the 80's. I love everything about it, and the world today is like garbage :D
Yes we had a house phone and if you stretch the cord too far from the phone dad would beat your ass
@@ericboyd5644 lol....so true
@@freezEware Yes indeed..actually had to deal with people face to face....early 90’s to mid wasn’t to bad but definitely lacked the music
Story of my life❤
I met Jan's mother Betty.🙂
She hooked me up with an personalized autograph pic, misc memorabilia and a guitar pic. She was a super nice lady!
Holy smokes, Jan was so melodic and amazing. She is terribly underrated as a lead guitarist. RIP
💘 Vixen! Can't wait to see them at the Indiana State Fair next month
So freaking lucky!
Very beautiful woman and the song is great good job you group are very beautiful woman 👠
I turn 61 in August never stop listening to older music
The 80's music never gets old way better than what they play today. Let's build a build a time machine and go back to the 80's.
Never gonna give me a better band/album. I still play it and love it today.
The 80s were Awesome 👍😎

Same age as you. We had good times. And now we wander off to die alone like a housecat under the bed.

Roxy is such a badass drummer!
jarjon76 Italiano ! 😉😅
For some reason, hers is the only name I can remember: Roxie Petrucci!
Takes me back to the days of hopping on my gt performer and meeting up with friends.
I remember when I was in elementary school in the mid 80's, I secretly sneaked into my brother's room to borrow a cassette without permission and one of them was VIXEN, it was a really fun memory at that time❤❤❤
I have no problem at meeting place to not only listen to this band but..
Awesome guilty of drooling during videos and ruining folks's carpet. growing up, I wasn't afraid tell my homies how awesome and Hot I thought they were.. an that watch there videos should I have a disclaimer for a wet mop or slip and fall sign, from all the drool!!!!

80's RULE!!!!!!!! Yeah so damn good that most people forget that it existed and was the best decade of all....people are such hypocrites.
80's RULE!!!!!!!! There are some great all girl hard rock bands out there, rebel queens, thundherstruck and Lez zeppelin all is not lost
In interviews, these stunning women said that other bands they would play shows with (male, of course) would watch them just to see if they played their own instruments. I love that the memory of Vixen will live on through me and others who fangirl for them ♡
Facts!
Vixen short lived, but forever remembered as an 80s bad ass band!
I love big hair!!❤️❤️❤️🥁🎸🇺🇸❤️
Late 80ies, what a great time, unforgetable
I so miss this band R.I.P. Jan Kuehnemund
This band is still active. They have two newbies alongside two old veterans.

Your missed Jan Kuehnemund, You Rocked! RIP
For those who don't know her. shes the sexy lead guitarist in the video.
+Jar McNally Didnt she sue them?
I did not know she was not with us anymore I'm assuming it was something tragic what a shame
Jan lost her battle with cancer 2 years ago today.
+Steve Davies Oh didn't know that so very sad RIP. She left some great music behind for us!
Sad to read about that. She was great at the guitar.
Need to go back to these times
I saw Richard Marx, one of the co writers of this song, in a gig couple of nights ago in Union Chapel, London. He even sang bit of this song towards the end of the gig.
Excellent voices, powerful and amazing 💯💯💯
I'm 60 and man I miss 80s girls

My brother says this all the time too lol!
I'm 48 and I miss the 80s so much ❤

R.I.P. Jan Kuehnemund. She was an amazing guitarist.
Guitar Tube Jan Kuehnemund
i hadent heard...
51 is too young!
Sadly, like most female guitarists, she was severely underrated.
Jan is one of my influences,a reason i play guitar.
I was born in 1985 I wish I could have enjoyed this wonderful time alittle more. Thankfully my sister was born in 1974 and she taught me all the good 80s music when I was little I know every word to all the songs great memories❤❤
