I meet Jan's cousin today. Best day I've had in a long time. He played drums in the 80s so he knew all the hair bands too. Got lots of good dirt. I told him to make sure his cousin knew she was my idol. That the entire group was my idol. When he said his cousin played in viven I could tell he didn't think I would know them. Boy was he wrong. Viven meant the world to so many young girls who wanted to rock. They started a revolution in the music industry. Whereas the runaways might have come first and a couple solo acts like Lita Ford or Joan jett. But it was viven that showed the world that girls/womem can rock just as hard as the men could. These ladies have no clue how many lives they changed. I wasn't musically inclined but I used their example to crush it several other male dominated industries. Their punk rock attitudes and 80s hardcore rock helped break a lot of glass ceilings. I hope you women know how much you meant to an entire generation and beyond. A kick ass song!! We have slipped a long way when it comes to having a great time as compared to the 80's. Today there's too many complications and restrictive bullshit. Vixen reminds me of how lucky having these freedoms and fun we had then as compared to now!.
This song came out when I was about 12 years old, and I loved it. I remember one day in middle school we had to run around the track in gym class, and this was one of the songs they played over the loudspeaker. That was the most fun I ever had in a gym class! As a girl growing up in the ‘80s, it was inspiring to see Vixen and other women in heavy metal like Lita Ford who were strong and powerful yet also beautiful and feminine. Not only were they amazing musicians, but they also had the most incredible hair-it was a work of art itself!

This Year I Wanted to See VIXEN, I had Covid This Year, Their Song "Love Made Me", Was My Fight for Life Song. I Decided to See VIXEN One More Time. I Just Love Roxy Petrucci, She's Very Sweet!!
Very greatful I graduated in 1984 from highshool as I not only got to experience the entire decade of the 1980's but also the 70's. Two entirety different from one another in many ways but both were nothing short of awesome. At age 56 now I will at this point never tire of 80's rock and new wave.
Music executives had to go in and ruin it because they were money hungry. Instead, they ended up bankrupting the record companies by changing things up too fast. They didn't want boredom to set in from repetition. I want it back to this natural sound. Oranthi is pushing for this sound once again and so is Keith Urban (despite being considered country rock). Nickelback and Avril Lavigne has been aiming this direction more. There's a lot of other artists who love this sound too because it's a natural instrumentation on stage sound. There's nothing wrong with experimentation, but forcing your audience to try to listen to something else is going to make others focus specifically for that sound and ways to bring it back. I'm surprised disco hasn't made a comeback. Not a fan of it, but that audience was slammed too.
You're lucky, man. I'm 34 and i really don't want even try to understand today's music and style - i like art of past decades only (especially 80's). These girls and their haircuts - all this was real, true. Now is only silicon, foolish fashion and stupid movies without sense.
Had this album. Great album! Years later, I found out a cousin of mine (through marriage) graduated with Jan from high school here in the Twin Cities (he's also a musician), was really good friends with her. He gave me one of her guitar picks, and he still has a bit of her gear and memorabilia. RIP Jan. 😭

@@erikpauls80Jan Kuehnemund is deceased. Janet Gardner is a dental hygienist
I so miss this band R.I.P. Jan Kuehnemund
This band is still active. They have two newbies alongside two old veterans.
😢😢😢🔰Br
My first show was Vixen, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Slaughter, and Vince Neil headlining before his return to Motley Crue. The drummer played for Slaughter, and she also played the keys for Vince Neil. She’ll know this… Vince was so hammered he fell off stage singing how sweet home and he was throwing it up like 1 more! We were like No more! 😂 classic

The 80's music never gets old way better than what they play today. Let's build a build a time machine and go back to the 80's.
Girls with 80's hair......yes!
my 8th grade class there was a girl that looked like stevie nicks
Girls who can play ROCK!
Guys are CUNTS NOW.
Now they're faker then the Kardashians. 😅
Bob that’s fucking dumb.
The 80s the best decade ever I use to wear my hair like this all the time with a bunch of aquanet and the 80s had the best music I want to go back and do it all over does anyone have a delorean I'll go back in a sec no internet no facebook no cell phones to ruin our lives todays kids dont know how great we had it I would not want to be a kid today the 80s live on .
Me too and I was always afraid someone would light a match!
Late 80ies, what a great time, unforgetable
loving vixen forever
If you're a fan of Vixen you should really check out the new single by Chez Kane: ruclips.net/video/FIqSK4K-ki8/видео.html
RIP, Jan!
Holy smokes, Jan was so melodic and amazing. She is terribly underrated as a lead guitarist. RIP
A kick ass song!! We have slipped a long way when it comes to having a great time as compared to the 80's. Today there's too many complications and restrictive bullshit. Vixen reminds me of how lucky having these freedoms and fun we had then as compared to now!.
Jan wins the best 80s hair ever award 🙂
R.I.P. Jan Kuehnemund. She was an amazing guitarist.
Guitar Tube Jan Kuehnemund
i hadent heard...
51 is too young!
Sadly, like most female guitarists, she was severely underrated.
Jan is one of my influences,a reason i play guitar.
Such babes of the 80s
Ariel Foxx yes I hand crush on the lead singer and the bass guitar player in the 80s they are hot
I had a crush on all the ladies of this band...in fact I pretty much had a drool bucket on hand whenever this video came on MTV back in the day
Yep
It was the Drummer for me, I don't know why but I've always been a sucker for women who play the drums.
+One for Rock 'n Roll Animal of the muppets: DRUM LADY!!! DRUM LADY!!!
I live in a far away country, but I had listen this song for the first time at a CD shop and was excited to buy it. I will never forget their courage and sincere effort as true rock stars.
The 80's was the GREATEST decade of music, clothes and parties, I miss me.
"I miss me", me also, I miss me so sadly, so so sadly, fosho
80's RULE!!!!!!!! Fast cars, booze cruzin' girl friends and atreet racing. Best times of my life.
80's RULE!!!!!!!! You're in good company my friend thousands of us want to go back to a simpler and better times. 80s had the best of everything. Best music best movies ie Breakfast Club, Ferris Buellers Day oOff need I say more! But thank God for modern technology we do have a time machine sort of. We can come here on utube and watch the videos and movies of the greatest decade ever. Can I get a AMEN ???
80's RULE!!!!!!!! Yeah so damn good that most people forget that it existed and was the best decade of all....people are such hypocrites.
80's RULE!!!!!!!! There are some great all girl hard rock bands out there, rebel queens, thundherstruck and Lez zeppelin all is not lost
RIP Jan. You were the best female guitarist
I Was Lucky Enough to See VIXEN at the Riverside County Fair in 1988, They Were Just A Fantastic Band!! They Put On A Great Show!! Not A Lot of Bands from Today Had the Style And Class, That VIXEN Had!! I Will Be Seeing VIXEN AT THE CANNERY CASINO, Here in Las Vegas NV, October 27th Next Year. This Year I Wanted to See VIXEN, I had Covid This Year, Their Song "Love Made Me", Was My Fight for Life Song. I Decided to See VIXEN One More Time. I Just Love Roxy Petrucci, She's Very Sweet!!
The way she says I don't wanna crawl is just frickin powerful. She has one powerful voice.
Such a great song with a killer outro........sigh, miss you Jan kuehnemund!
Jan Kuehnemund looks like perfection at 1:45. Sad that she died just when they were all getting back together a few years ago.
agreed. she was hot RIP Jan x
💘 Vixen! Can't wait to see them at the Indiana State Fair next month
So freaking lucky!
I've heard of the band, but hadn't heard any of their music until now. AWESOME band, and GREAT song!! Rock on ladies!!!¡
R.I.P. Jan
😖
rhoads' girl 😭😩
This song hooked me instantly.
Yes, The 80's can never be repeated. Awesome artists and music
I actually pray to god it gets repeated, so that I--unfortunately a Gen Z'er--can be alive when such music like this is all the rage
They'll create an 80s virtual reality... They'll be able to erase your memory and make you live like a rock star 😀
Wow...I had forgotten how bad ass you ladies were! Rock on, Vixen!
Very greatful I graduated in 1984 from highshool as I not only got to experience the entire decade of the 1980's but also the 70's. Two entirety different from one another in many ways but both were nothing short of awesome. At age 56 now I will at this point never tire of 80's rock and new wave.
I met Jan's mother Betty.🙂
She hooked me up with an personalized autograph pic, misc memorabilia and a guitar pic. She was a super nice lady!
R.I.P. Jan Kuehnemund (November 18, 1961 - October 10, 2013)
thanks for that info great band
jim ignace..You're welcome
it;s been more than 20 years i still love rock as brand new as ever. it feels so good with rock spirit!
Miss this kind of music. 😢
God, I miss the 80s...
I wish I could click the thumbs up a million times for that statement!
Been really getting into Femme Fatal recently...and I'm a 50 y/o dude! Great songs and band!
victor, he means he's listening to the goddess bands like Vixen and Heart, not really the band Femme Fatale.
LoL I hear Ya!
So true
There we were! Now here we are! What the hell happened!
Time, along with Mother Nature, turned out to be a total bitch that's what happened.
So awesome here. Now all we have for hit singles is Drake's stupid hotline bling shit.
+Charlie Mooney grunge happened
Charlie Mooney time
Best time to be a teen, late 80's, early 90's! Music was awesome, parties were awesome, life was awesome!
You're lucky, man. I'm 34 and i really don't want even try to understand today's music and style - i like art of past decades only (especially 80's). These girls and their haircuts - all this was real, true. Now is only silicon, foolish fashion and stupid movies without sense.
The best time to be a teenager was in the 80's period loved the era
Estos temas de Vixen me generan una sensualidad impresionante. Tanta hermosura y lo hacían con tanta clase. Aguante Vixen!
Vixen short lived, but forever remembered as an 80s bad ass band!
I remember turning up at Motley Crue concerts and Warrant and Skid Row etc and there would be women like this everywhere. Like from another planet.
These ladies are way ahead of that time. Compared to the others of late
Had this album. Great album! Years later, I found out a cousin of mine (through marriage) graduated with Jan from high school here in the Twin Cities (he's also a musician), was really good friends with her. He gave me one of her guitar picks, and he still has a bit of her gear and memorabilia. RIP Jan. 😭
I miss the 80's. B-)
me too i still live somewhat on the 80s everyday. lol
I Loved the 80's ! These girls are Smokin Hot !
These lady's have a special place in my heart!
God this brings back memories. I grew up with hair bands and metal…played drums since I was 13 and taught myself guitar..several bands that went nowhere, yet still these girls had all the props, loads of talent…and such fun music
When I was a teenager I had posters of Jan all over my bedroom wall, as I thought she was the most perfectly put together woman I had ever seen. very sad that she’s gone. A heavenly woman now in heaven RIP.
No one really cares what turns you on. Unless it’s another man.

I remember watching this video when I was in my teens on MTV and now I'm 53 and still jam out too this group
I LOVE these Ladies , their Band & Definitely their Music. VIXEN RULES 👍🏻🪙👍🏻
I love VIXEN!
I remember when I was in elementary school in the mid 80's, I secretly sneaked into my brother's room to borrow a cassette without permission and one of them was VIXEN, it was a really fun memory at that time❤❤❤
Beautiful and talented women. Vixen worked their asses off to make it. Mad respect for them
I’m here after reading Nothin But A Good Time. Great book about the rise and fall of the 80’s metal scene. I remember Vixen. This song and video did well on Dial MTV. 🤙🏼
