Incomparable. No other heavy metal or hard rock bands had a singer that could touch him. Not even Axyl Rose or Steven Tyler. Nobody that I've heard can top him on that song.....
@@melvinnixon2378At this point in time Geoff Tate was definitely on Mili's level. Unfortunately Geoff ruined his voice so by now, they aren't even comparable.
Miljenko is one of THE most overlooked, underrated, disrespected male vocalists, regardless of genre, period. And this is coming from a hardcore Geoff Tate fan since the 80s. Man never got the respect he deserved for the range he has, and fearlessness in using it so often. Mad props.
The lyrics in this song make me cry. Makes me think of my wife, who is up in n heaven. I will never let her go, she is always on my mind, and she was my dream come true. Love you forever Tracie my everything.
Backing tracks were very much in use, auto tune was invented the same year this song was written, whilst Steelheart did use backing tracks live this was recorded and produced without auto tune.
My fiance dedicated this song to me and before we could marry he died of cancer. So everytime I hear this song I think of him. He was and always will be the light of my life. Love you always Scott

I'm here in 2021 for this. I showed this to my 12 year old daughter and 18 year old daughter and it was fun to see how memorized they were by his vocal range! I spent the afternoon introducing them to Steelheart, White Lion, Journey, Skid Row, Cinderella, and all the rock bands from my youth! 💗
What a great song. Back in the late 80s, I couldn't get enough of his voice and this song. I'm 60 now, and still, every time I hear it, I go right back to that time.
Same. I’m pretty sure at least my oldest (20) was conceived while this song played. Honorable mention to all the ones that didn’t make it while my wife was still on her birth control lol!
… Angel eyes You have angel eyes Such a smile that lights up my life oh You're a dream come true Now I'm holding you And I'll never, never let you go I will never let you go … First time I laid my eyes upon you All my dreams were answered First time I kissed your tender lips My love to you I surrendered … I'll never let you go You're always on my mind You're the only one for me You're all I need And I'll never, never let you go … Angel eyes My heart relies On the love you give to me You never let me down You're always by my side And I'll never, never let you go I will never let you go … When my heart starts to crumble And the tears start to fall You hold me close with tender lovin' And give me strength to carry on … I'll never let you go You're always on my mind You're the only one for me You're all I need And I'll never, never let you go … I'll never let you go You're always on my mind You're the only one for me You're all I need And I'll never, never let you go oh ooh And I'll never, never let you go

Same here, class of 81 , 70’s & 80’s rule, we experienced the best rock of all time, AC/DC , Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Rush, you name it we had it good …!
This era - despite all the fun people poke at it (more because society tells them to) - was a pinnacle of rock and roll. Every band had a great vocalist, guitarists who had been playing since they were 4, and a music composition wherewithal that built towards something. There were 400 songs in about a 5 year stretch that everyone would recognize upon hearing them. Were it not for the awkward fashion, people today wouldn't ignore the greatness that happened from 85-90. Were it not for a bunch of depressed drug addicts, the era would have continued well into the 90's and been perhaps the greatest dynasty of styles in music history.
However, this era was in part a backlash against the synth, new wave music of the early 80s. Production was a bit too slick, so some acts sounded generic.
very well put until you blamed fashion and drug addicts for the problem with this era and its continuing , it did continue well into the 90s and evolved into metallica/ pantera and even the rock of today , it spawned off into punk & grunge as well !!! the hair is still evident today and was a product of the 60s the clothes style is still evident in many things popularly worn today and the jeans with the worn spots came from the 70s ! as far as the '"depressed drug addicts" every era has plenty of them thats not the fault of the 80s nor any other problem in this world today , its the people themselves that cause things to change . each individual with their own mind who isnt afraid to show it , is the reason for things changing and that is how it should be and how it is everywhere except the minds of the younger people who dont care to find the truth before posting anything that crosses their mind ! THE MUSIC OF THE 80s EVOLVED JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER TYPE BEFORE IT HAS , it didnt go away because of drugs or clothes , im figuring since there no info on your profile that you came uninformed to this world too . so shut up about things you know nothing about but keep your taste in music its the only thing youve got going for you !!!! sincerely ,
and stop changing your post it just makes you look controlled and only speaking to please others , if the 80s taught anything it was to BE SURE OF YOURSELF AND EXPRESS YOURSELF WITH TRUTH
Loved this song as a kid, still love it at 44. I was born in 77, thank fucking God I grew up in the hair metal ages. This was and still is the best music era of all times.

White lion, fire house, steelheart, poison, killer dwarfs, bon jovi etc etc, they did a good job, they where part of the history !!!
I love this song so much, his voice, that I asked my dad to call and request it for me on the radio and like the amazing daddy he was, he did! I'll always have that memory! ❤ Miss the 80's, early 90's!
Greatest male voice of a generation.
I'm 23 and so thankful to my dad introducing me to this kind of music, theres no going back now! 🤘
you have a good dad
Yeah ! 🤠⚾🏡
You WON"T regret it Chloe!! It's PROPER MUSIC and MEANINGFUL TOO!!! ENJOY!!

Heck i WAS in my 20's early 30's back then and i MISSED THIS!. i was into metal/hair bands of the time. I'm dumbfounded in that i never heard this till now..
Best power ballad of all time. It's been my favorite song since I heard it in 1990. It's still incredible
1KTHUMBS UP..!!!!...I remember discovering them back in the 80s...great decade of hair bands...and STEELHEART was super under rated by many...I went out and bought the album the very next day...still listen to them today after all these years...today's music suks!!
This song has to be one of the most underrated. His voice range is absolutely amazing!!!
Incomparable. No other heavy metal or hard rock bands had a singer that could touch him. Not even Axyl Rose or Steven Tyler. Nobody that I've heard can top him on that song.....
He could sing.
I wonder if he's ever broken glass? Not many pay can hit the notes he does.I can only think of maybe 3 that come close
@@melvinnixon2378(years later) - Sebastian Bach of Skid Row probably wasn’t on Mili’s level either but Bas was pretty good...
@@melvinnixon2378At this point in time Geoff Tate was definitely on Mili's level. Unfortunately Geoff ruined his voice so by now, they aren't even comparable.
He has so much range with his voice, he hits high notes like an opera singer, such talent, His voice brings tears to my eyes
He was an opera singer.
Pat Benatar was classically trained in opera and has a five octave vocal range.
Miljenko is one of THE most overlooked, underrated, disrespected male vocalists, regardless of genre, period. And this is coming from a hardcore Geoff Tate fan since the 80s. Man never got the respect he deserved for the range he has, and fearlessness in using it so often. Mad props.
Exactly. Thank you.
Cinderella too
Jeff Tate rocks, seen them open for twisted sister. Very great band
@@michaelschiler7128 Who is Jeff Tate? Is this the singer of Cinderella's band?
VERY well said! I still follow him and I'm so glad he's still singing and STILL touring!!! Someday.. i WILL see him in concert!
I’m here. I’m amazed still. I’m loving it too!❤️❤️❤️
@melaniehoback6476. Hello, how are you doing it's nice meeting you here.
One of the most underrated vocalists period. 80"s and Early 90's Rock is the best! When they wrote and sung there own.
My heart is still pumping steel im 60 and seeing steelheart September at RockTember2024 IN HINCKLEY MN!
One of the most underrated voices of that time. Guy has pipes.
Of all time***
Never heard of this band but I love the song and the singer is fiiitt!😍
The lyrics in this song make me cry. Makes me think of my wife, who is up in n heaven. I will never let her go, she is always on my mind, and she was my dream come true. Love you forever Tracie my everything.
I hope you will see her in heaven! Believe in Jesus my good man!
Someday, you and she will sing this song together
I'm so sorry for your lose.
God bless you my friend
Stay strong my man and always remember the good memories you shared with her.
So powerful hearing a man pouring out his whole heart to the one he Loves ! 💖
No back tracks, no auto tune, just outta this world range and power!
Backing tracks were very much in use, auto tune was invented the same year this song was written, whilst Steelheart did use backing tracks live this was recorded and produced without auto tune.
It was certainly vocally doubled on the chorus.
Say what you will, the 80s had the BEST bands on the planet! I wish I could’ve been a part of it all
Miljenko Matijevic can still sing these songs and he sounds pretty damn good at 59 years old. 🤟
We All Die Young is a jam. Amazing voice still considering he almost did die young by a tower of steel 🤘
My fiance dedicated this song to me and before we could marry he died of cancer. So everytime I hear this song I think of him. He was and always will be the light of my life. Love you always Scott
Scott had good taste in music & greater taste in who he loved, Im sure.... Hear his voice in the words & smile... Soo sorry for this to have happened to you..,

What a great song. Back in the late 80s, I couldn't get enough of his voice and this song. I'm 60 now, and still, every time I hear it, I go right back to that time.
I have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. None would be here without this song 1991
Thank you!
Same. I’m pretty sure at least my oldest (20) was conceived while this song played. Honorable mention to all the ones that didn’t make it while my wife was still on her birth control lol!
That's hilarious

… Angel eyes
You have angel eyes
Such a smile that lights up my life oh
You're a dream come true
Now I'm holding you
And I'll never, never let you go
I will never let you go
… First time I laid my eyes upon you
All my dreams were answered
First time I kissed your tender lips
My love to you I surrendered
… I'll never let you go
You're always on my mind
You're the only one for me
You're all I need
And I'll never, never let you go
… Angel eyes
My heart relies
On the love you give to me
You never let me down
You're always by my side
And I'll never, never let you go
I will never let you go
… When my heart starts to crumble
And the tears start to fall
You hold me close with tender lovin'
And give me strength to carry on
… I'll never let you go
You're always on my mind
You're the only one for me
You're all I need
And I'll never, never let you go
… I'll never let you go
You're always on my mind
You're the only one for me
You're all I need
And I'll never, never let you go oh ooh

Im 61 and i grew up with this music. This guy can rock ❤️
I'm 58 almost 59 isn't strange to think we got this old. Where did time go
Same here, class of 81 , 70’s & 80’s rule, we experienced the best rock of all time, AC/DC , Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Rush, you name it we had it good …!
Production was a bit too slick, so some acts sounded generic.
well said
damn I would like that hairstyle to be famous again today!
very well put until you blamed fashion and drug addicts for the problem with this era and its continuing , it did continue well into the 90s and evolved into metallica/ pantera and even the rock of today , it spawned off into punk & grunge as well !!! the hair is still evident today and was a product of the 60s the clothes style is still evident in many things popularly worn today and the jeans with the worn spots came from the 70s ! as far as the '"depressed drug addicts" every era has plenty of them thats not the fault of the 80s nor any other problem in this world today , its the people themselves that cause things to change . each individual with their own mind who isnt afraid to show it , is the reason for things changing and that is how it should be and how it is everywhere except the minds of the younger people who dont care to find the truth before posting anything that crosses their mind !
Such a beautiful voice ❤
He hits such a steady beautiful octave when he hits the higher scale and he holds that high range without faltering, no break, just steady high pitch
