Must be hard to keep from bursting with pride knowing that god loves you for no reason and hates your family and neighbours.
So teach your children this song about the rest of the World while you are at it.
"Jesus loves me, this I know.
As for you, I don't think so.
Only some to Him belong. We are right and you are wrong.
      Yes, Jesus loves me!
      Yes, Jesus loves me!
      Yes, Jesus loves me!
Aren't you happy and proud that God chose us for heaven and decided not to fry us in Hell like everyone else!
'Eenie Meenie Miney Moe, this one goes to heaven off to hell another one goes!'
But then again, I hope this isn't evanescent grace that I'm walking in and instead I'm actually deceived and one of the reprobates that He created to burn as a candle for His glory in Hell forever."
      TRUTH IN LOVE
PS Seriously sir, they have made a monster out of our Loving God and Savior. I sickens me to the core of my being when I hear their slanderous Heresy. But many are waking up and leaving the Cult, so I continue in that hope. Every day is Calvin whacking day to me!

@@truth7416 I don't burst with pride, I feel sad most of the time. Seeing a world of people who seem to not be interested in God, don't care what Jesus done for us on the cross, it's really quite sad. Roman's 8:29... For whom he did foreknowledge, he also did predestination to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many.
      This verse indictates predestination.
We don't walk the aisle and accept Christ.. we are all dead in sin.
Eccle. 2:1.. And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sin.
1st Peter 1:2.. Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
Again, according to the foreknowledge of God..
John 17:1-2... These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2... As though hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou had given him.
These verses are past tense, as something that has already been.
John 17:9.. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
This verse also indicates God chose his children, it was done before he even formed the earth.
To choose God, we would have to have free will, we don't, we are only free to sin, we are born into bondage to sin, a slave to it, and only by God's mercy do we escape this bondage, paid and bought by Christ Jesus, just like the first born were bought back in the Old Testament, we are bought by Jesus.
Baptist use to embrace predestination, I don't know what changed with them, but they now teach against it. To say that God is not sovereign is stupid, to be sovereign, that means being in control of everything.
We are all dead in sin and in our carnal self we would never choose God, our flesh hates God and his Son and his righteousness, God says, the flesh is enmity with God.
No, I don't see myself as better than anyone, I try to practice how Jesus taught, to esteem others more than myself.
That's quite the little ditty you wrote, you must be awful proud of that.

YES GOD HAS predestined a plan of salvation for the WHOLE human race! NOT the Angels. Because ... none would find God if He didn't make himself known. It is that simple.
Here is a rule to unlock everything in scripture that God wants you to understand. Apply John 3:16 and Timothy to every verse and every thing these twisted false teachers say and YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUTH.
Now read these verses below carefully and slowly. Anything that DOES NOT confirm what these verses are saying, is either a misunderstanding or a deliberate lie. They will keep you safe from the wolves.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
1 Timothy 2 : 3-6 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people.
1 John 2:2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

It summarizes beautifully with “Many are called, few are chosen”. Who is called? Everyone. Go into the highways and compel them to come. Remember that? But people refuse. So who is chosen? The few who respond. He CHOOSES those who respond. Wide is the path to destruction, narrow is the path to life and few FIND it. That’s not to say God doesnt ALSO sovereignly chooses in other ways. Like Jacob. Like the poor. He chooses them by the gospel being preached to them first, and them responding in greater number because no thorns to choke it out. Disclaimer: these are my understanding of scripture, of which I am convinced. But I am human, and I could be wrong. I pray God forgives me if I am, and that He’ll correct my views.

And yes He saves us. Yes He first loved us and then we loved Him. Agreed. He first loved us, showed us His UNIMAGINABLE love, and then saw to it the gospel was preached to us. Some accept it, some reject it. Those who accept it haven’t earned anything or merited their salvation. They haven’t shown themselves morally superior to others. All they’ve done is beg for mercy. But God, yet again in his abundant mercy, sovereignly chooses to save those who fall at His feet and beg forgiveness. Not because He must, but because He DELIGHTS in it. And I do believe God influences the decision in many people. But I don’t believe he FORCES it. Otherwise he’d have created us as robots.

Calvinism isn't not a position of forcing. The problem with what you've just said is you've made all of God's works, including the cross, dependent on your work (faith). If you don't believe, then His work accomplishes nothing. God's work (new birth, election) enables your work (faith). Not the other way around. He is not dependent on you to act, you are dependent on Him to act. This is the gospel. "It is not your own doing, it is a gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." Also, you are wrong to say that you cannot boast. If you have faith and another doesn't and the difference between the two of you is your belief, and not "God had mercy", then you can boast.

Left to ourselves, we will always choose to reject Him in the end. Therefore, God had to intervene.

Once we see this, only then can we begin to learn that God's ideas of good and evil are far different than our own thoughts. What we call evil is actually molding us to be the likeness of Christ when we continually come to the end of ourselves. Only then will we allow Him to mold us (with what we think is evil) into the 'greatest' servants (in His kingdom) as the Bride... the New Jerusalem which we are becoming (Rev. 21:2).

Is the context " World" as in literally the whole planet? Is the context every single individual who has ever lived? Or is it the " World system "? We see in the context the passage where Jesus said, " I do not pray for the world, but for those you have given me out of the world, that He was not praying for all individuals, but only those God chose to save. The bible also says do NOT love the world or the things in the world. The context of this is clearly the world system which is the lust of the flesh the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.

Why would God give man a choice? That is really the question.
To give Man a choice means that God wanted to be Loved by man. Not forced by his will to love him, but Chose to be loved.
Can Love be Forced - I suppose God could "FORCE" us to do anything. The question is simple, why did God create us in the first place? He did not need us, or to be loved by us. He was All Sufficient - so man has and had NOTHING to offer God.
Isn't it true that "maybe" God wanted unsolicited Love from us his OWN creation? Adam was in the Garden - and God put the tree in the middle - and by doing that isn't it true that God was asking for a choice?
Why else would God put such a choice in front of Adam?
You have 2 options, Love me and keep my one commandment - or Love your self and make your own choice.
So when Adam made the wrong choice, he banished Adam and Eve, but still provided a Sacrifice.
Move forward to Jesus and what does he say? If you Love me you will keep my commandments. Yes, this is a measurement of our love just like not eating from the tree in the middle was a measurement of Adams love.
I think the truth of the matter is not "Did God make the choice for us?" The question is simple, Will you Love me - EVEN when I make my self CLEAR (Romans 1:18-23 is clear abut what God makes evident to man) about who I am and what YOUR condition is? That is why God made us - to love him. He will not force anyone to love him, he will die for them and he will pursue all men!!

And the argument will likely then be, why then is there election at all if the Bible is so clear on choice? As the Bible teaches, SO THAT NO MAN CAN BOAST. It really IS election because simply choosing to respond to God and plead for mercy earns you nothing in His sight. It merits you a big fat goose egg. He still sovereignly chooses to forgive and save, not based on our merit but by His great mercy, the conditions for which He lays out clearly: repent and believe. Not to say He doesn’t have the right to ignore saving some. He has that right. But it’s not in His character. Just as He had the right to condemn all mankind forever at the fall. Yet His great and merciful character gifted us Jesus Christ.

Not that God forces them or makes an exception to His “predetermined list”. John talks of God knowing the future because God does know the future. Einstein says that time is an illusion and the barrier between the past, present and future is merely an illusion (General Relativity). The past exists it has not gone, the future all ready exists .... it has already happened. Science tells us this, not religion. I find it funny that all atheists never deal with this issue, all of time has already happened. But we still freely made our own choices. This is difficult to grasp, but Einstein tells us this is true

@15:02 Mcarthur references Mark 13:20 which is referring to ISRAEL during the Great Tribulation.
Question: Who is meant by “the elect”?
Answer: Jesus was speaking to the Jews, about a Jewish future, that is, during the Great Tribulation, and while the Church is raptured in Heaven.
That’s why this should be understood within a Jewish context, and after all, the Jews are the elect people, that is, the “chosen people,” elect in Abraham.
In fact, Matthew 24:16 states: “Let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.”
At v.20, Jesus states, “But pray that your flight may not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath.”
Then Jesus adds at v.22, “And unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days shall be cut short.”
    These are distinctive of Israel.
    I don’t live in Judea and I don’t observe a Sabbath.
If Mcarthur’s “elect” are chosen and predestined to salvation then He would not need to cut anything short because they would be effectually saved anyways!
That fact refutes any notion of reformed theology in this passage.

No, that's not true. God didn't choose those who will only be saved. Does God the Father not have enough power to save everyone??? Jesus said the road to hell is wide and those who find it are many. It is reasonable to assume that most people will not be saved as Jesus said few will be "chosen". And if God wants all saved then all would be saved, how could God the Father not get what he wants. The all is a qualified all and relates to the Elect. But man does have genuine choice but no one understands how this works. Does God Chose .... yes he does, does man have a choice .... yes he does, how does it fit ..... nobody knows just God himself.

The *"ALL"* is definitely referring to *"all mankind"* which God so loved, and the reason why he sent his beloved Son into the world for them to be saved through him (John 3:16). I'm not talking about salvation when I used the word *ALL.* I am talking about the love that God has for *ALL MANKIND.* God will never save all mankind. He loves them all as his creation, and because of that love, was salvation made available to *"ALL OF THEM.* Yes, God wants all of his creatures to be saved, but that doesn't mean he will violate his judgement. God said that the soul that sinneth shall die (Ezekiel 18:20 & Gen. 2:17); and the Bible said that the wages of sin is death (Romans 3:23). It is God's justice to punish sin, and he cannot go against his precepts. God wasn't caught by surprise when the first men fell into sin, as there's nothing in all creation that surprises God, *"Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world"* (Acts 15:18). God knew that men will fall one day; hence God has the will and purpose for redeeming his creation. God will never leave his creation hopeless after the fall. Because he loves them he gave them the way to be saved through a Savior. You see now that despite of the fall, men still have the chance to salvation? But not *ALL MEN* can be saved. Only those that love God, and obey his statutes and follow his words can be saved. And why is that? Because of the freedom of will to choose.
God gave men the freedom of will to choose him before they became Christians (Genesis 2:17). That freedom of will was never taken from them after they became his children (Luke 15:12). As there is no compulsion with God, one can certainly choose to deny or reject his faith if he chooses to. The Spirit only guides believers in this life but he never controls them like robots or automatons against their will. And God will never force anyone into heaven against his will. There are people who don't like or want God in their lives, and God will never force them to believe him against their will.
The highest ethic that God has given us is the ethic of love. God loves his creation that he wanted them to return the same love he gave them. There is no such thing as love without the freedom of will. We love because we are free to express that feeling towards the object we love. It wouldn't be love if we had been forced to do it against our will. That is coercion or compulsion. And because God loves us, he gave us the freedom of will to choose him. That freedom of will includes the ability to sin. If God didn't give us the ability to sin, that means he didn't give us the ability to love him.

@@paeng46 thanks for your response. My problem with this is simple. I have been a Christian for many many years now, and when I talk to anybody about Christ, the response is "always" the same. It is either apathy or down right hostility, never ever anything in between. If you are correct you would expect the occasional person to say "that's interesting to hear about Christ, let me go and think about it and do some research as it may be true, as I'm on truth quest". This never happens ... ever ... certainly not to me. So the question is this, if what you say is true surely the law of averages would say that someone would be interested?? Why always hostile. The answer is simple, God himself unlocks our hearts, you cannot see the Kingdom of God unless you are born from above!!. People don't listen because they are dead in sin, they are not looking for the truth. Only Christ can save us, no one else. It cannot be that ALL are not looking, it is simply you cannot look unless your eyes have been opened.

Yes, you are right, and that is true. The Holy Spirit is the one that reveals the things of God to men-- *"even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God"* (1 Cor. 2:11). God "revealed them unto us by his Spirit: *for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God"* (1 Cor. 2:10). Because of that, men are without excuses. Jesus said that the Soirit will reprove the world of sin... (and note carefully)-- *"OF SIN, because they believe not on me"* (John 16:8-9). Every conscious being is convicted of his sin because of the Spirit; however unless and until one repents of his sins he can not be regenerated in the spirit. No one is conscious of his sin without the Spirit; and no one sees and understands the will and goodness of God without being renewed in the Spirit (John 3:.3,5)). Therefore, being convicted of sin is one thing, and being born-again is another.

Furthermore, does the Bible not teach that even evil men give good gifts to their children? Is that not a “good act”? Are we really implying that total depravity means we are 100% incapable of doing any single good deed in our entire lives? Even after hearing the gospel of Christ which is the power to salvation? That is not what the Bible teaches. If that was the case he’d have destroyed the world all over again as He did in Noah’s time, as everyone only ever thought and did evil continually. No matter how depraved we are, God still allows us to make a choice after hearing His gospel. Why? I don’t know the mind of God, but are you to argue that sovereign God is incapable of sovereignly choosing to ALLOW US to make that choice, and in His foreknowledge electing those who do? It has NOTHING TO DO with merit. He doesn’t elect us because He feels “obligated” to, or because we’ve “earned” salvation by responding. He does so because He SOVEREIGNLY CHOOSES to. He would have every right to deny our plea and condemn us on the spot, if He so chose. Nobody is claiming we have “merited” anything by responding. So I don’t understand the contradiction. The two seem to have perfect harmony based on the scriptures.

It means that we are totally fallen and dead in trespasses and sins in our minds in our will , in our emotions and in our spirit because of Adam who is our representative and his sin caused everyone to be fallen spiritually until the Holy Spirit makes us alive in Christ through the preaching of Jesus Christ and him crucified and resurrected as a substitute and propitiation for lost sinners. @14:30 Mcarthur references MATTHEW 22:14
14 FOR MANY ARE CALLED, BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN.
    QUESTION: “HOW” are we chosen?
ANSWER: “IN” Christ not apart from Him.
Read the entire chapter of Matthew 22 as it disproves reformed theology.
Everyone was called to the wedding and those who didn’t come FREELY rejected the invitation:
The one who was not chosen tried to get in by works and not by FAITH.
He did not have the wedding garment on which is Christ’s robe of righteousness.
This passage does NOT say unbelievers are chosen to become believers apart from faith.
No passage in scripture says that.
This parable clearly teaches that God arbitrarily chose SERVANTS to invite to the wedding those who were bidden; which refers to the JEWS the ISRAELITES God’s chosen people.
    MATTHEW 22:3
3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
The Jews freely refused so He went into say in MATTHEW 22:9
9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and AS MANY AS YE SHALL FIND, bid to the marriage.
    1. God chose His messengers for the very purpose of bringing the invitation to WHOSOEVER.
    2. God chooses anyone with the wedding garment on which is Christ’s robe of righteousness that can only be got by FAITH in Christ.
Similarly God chose elect ISRAEL to be the chosen messengers to bring the Gospel to the entire world and chose His disciples to do the same (John 15:16).
God arbitrarily chooses and elects people for SERVICE for the very purpose of being INCLUSIVE and not exclusive in that those chosen people then go out and bring the invitation to ALL.
    That’s His PURPOSE in election.
I don’t know much more that can be.

  • @ActionJaxonH
    @ActionJaxonH 4 года назад +3

Respectfully, I don’t understand why this is so hard. No. People don’t earn it with “merit” by accepting Christ. You can ask God for mercy and you’re still just as guilty as the next guy. He’s not obligated to forgive you, nor does your cry to Him make you any more “righteous” or “deserving” or “morally superior” than anyone else. He SOVEREIGNLY CHOOSES to elect those who chose Him. He’s not OBLIGATED to. Why? Idk. But it’s His sovereign choice to do it that way. You make it sound like it’s some paradox but it’s not. The two make perfect sense together. And He does use others as tools for His will. The Bible teaches God does not tempt anyone to sin. So those he uses to bring judgment, He only does so when it’s already in their heart to do so.

We need to pray that God will make up the mind of a lost person?
This is not in the Bible anywhere. Where is the scripture that says - God Please help this Sinner accept you? God Turn this mind - Force this mind to bow down to you God!
This is not in the Word.
The word is very specific - Romans 1:18-20
But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
God makes who he is clear to the lost. Des he force them?
God made him self known to me, and I saw that I was lost. I knew that I was doomed with out him. I knew I was helpless, and I knew I had no hope with out God and his son. He made it CLEAR to me, and I accepted his gift, because I could not do it on my own, and NEVER could.
Accepting his gift was the key, and God did not force me. He made it clear to me. He made it evident to me, and I repented ONLY because he could take my sin.

YES !!! Little Johnny, God has predestined the minority of people to be saved and go to heaven forever, and He has predestined the majority of people to be eternally damned and burn in the fires of hell. We have no idea, little Johnny, if God has predestined you to be forever damned or forever saved.
We love you, little Johnny, but we accept the fact that God might not love you, and that He may have plans to send you to hell for your future sins. If you do find yourself one day burning in hell because He hasn’t elected to save you, just remember that we will always love you, even if God hates you.
Take comfort knowing that we are not like God.
We will be in heaven forever only because we were unconditionally chosen for salvation before we were born. That would be the only reason that we won’t be in hell with you if you find yourself there. It won’t be because of anything we did.
So also take comfort in knowing that. It may not seem fair, but who are we to judge God?
So again, if you find yourself in hell, remember that we will always love you as we forever worship the God who loved us but who hated you, the God who sent His Son to die for us but not for you.
Please, we ask, don’t let it bother you-if you find yourself in hell-that we love the God who hated you and showed you no mercy. We must accept the fact that God is sovereign, and He does what He pleases.
Will you teach that to your children or grandchildren? Watch their spiritual progress over the ensuing years.
I suspect that your answer will be “never.” But why not? Its easy to call yourself a Calvinist but when it comes to saying it anyone can see the hideousness of it.

For all are not created in equal condition; rather, eternal life is fore-ordained for some, eternal damnation for others.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 21,
Calvinists believe God created all things, and controls all things, predetermined all things,
and made all things exactly the way they are.... thus god also created evil. Therefore since Calvinists believe god created evil, they are blaspheming against the holy spirit ... the only unforgivable sin.
Calvinists also believe the only people who will be saved have been predetermined by God. and since Calvinists believe God predetermined who will be saved ... they have removed free will - the gift of God to humans, and removed Jesus from the equation.
Since God (according to Calvinists) has already determined who will be saved ... (and who will not be saved) ... those who will be saved do not need Christ and those who will not be saved cannot come to Christ.

Laura Tsend Predestination is Biblical but not the reformed perversion of it.
Predestination has absolutely nothing to do with unbelievers becoming believers as reformers say.
      BIBLICAL predestination is correct.
Predestination is NOT about the salvation of lost people.
It’s about the guaranteed future of SAVED people.
Predestination doesn’t speak to who is saved or not.
Rather, it speaks to the ‘DESTINY’ of those who ARE SAVED/elect.
It speaks to God’s ENDS for the elect who are ALREADY IN CHRIST THROUGH FAITH (Believers).
It is the BELIEVERS who are the ones who love God, and who are therefore foreknown by Him.
IN CHRIST they possess redemption and the forgiveness of sins by faith.
      BELIEVERS are predestined by God.
*It does NOT say that unbelievers are predestined TO BE believers.*
Predestination is mentioned 4 times in the Bible in 3 separate verses and NOT ONCE IS IT REFERRING TO SALVATION.
In each case the passage clearly says WHO is being predestinated and TO WHAT they are being predestinated to.
In all those passages ask your self WHO is being predestined and WHAT are they being predestined to?
*Not once is it an unbeliever.*
*Not once is it predestined to salvation.*
BELIEVERS are predestined to inherit salvation, to be justified and to be brought into glory.

      EPHESIANS 1:5 - BELIEVERS
are predestined to be adopted children of God BY JESUS:
EPHESIANS 1:11,12 - BELIEVERS (who first trusted in Christ) are predestined to be the PRAISE OF HIS GLORY:
ROMANS 8:29 - BELIEVERS (those who are in IN CHRIST) are predestined to be CONFORMED TO HIS IMAGE (through sanctification).

@17:33 McArthur references Romans 11:7,8 and his conclusions are contrary to the Apostle Paul’s.
QUESTION: Is Romans 11:7-10 speaking of people damned to hell before the foundation of the world?
QUESTION: Do those people mentioned in Romans 11:7-10 have any chance of salvation or is this a permanent, irreversible condition?
Let’s see what the Apostle Paul has to say and then compare it to what John Mcarthur has to say and see if Mcarthur comes up wanting:
    ROMANS 11:11
11 I say then, Have THEY stumbled that they should fall? GOD FORBID: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
*This verse is saying that though they stumbled God’s Grace is STILL there for them.*
Their fall was actually part of God’s redemptive PLAN to bring about salvation for the gentiles.
QUESTION: Have they stumbled that they should fall?
    REFORMERS: Yes they have.
    PAUL: GOD FORBID!
    ***************************************
    ROMANS 11:12
12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; HOW MUCH MORE THEIR FULNESS?
*He’s saying that if God used them for the saving of the Gentiles, how much more will He use their fullness WHEN THEY’RE RESTORED.*
    ***************************************
    ROMANS 11:14
14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and MIGHT SAVE SOME OF THEM.
*Again Paul is saying there’s STILL HOPE of them being received back from the dead.*
    They’re NOT eternally cut off!
And yet according to reformers who try and use Romans 11:8 as some kind of “proof text” they believe that those in verse 8 are predestined to hell before the foundation of the world.
The Apostle Paul disagrees with the reformer’s twisting of Romans 8.
If they would just read a few verses later we see Paul is STILL giving them hope.
So here we have reformers against Paul.
Let’s expose to the light what reformers believe vs what the Apostle PAUL believes:
According to REFORMERS: Those in Romans 11:8 are damned before the foundation of the world.
According to PAUL: These SAME PEOPLE could still be saved in verse 14.
    So which one is it?
    Reformers or Paul?
I think I’ll stick to the inspired word of God which flies in the face of what reformers believe Romans 11:8 teaches.
    REFORMERS: Predestined to hell
PAUL: MIGHT SAVE SOME OF THEM
    ***************************************
    ROMANS 11:23
23 AND THEY ALSO, IF THEY ABIDE NOT STILL IN UNBELIEF, SHALL BE GRAFTED IN: FOR GOD IS ABLE TO GRAFT THEM IN AGAIN.
*God is still saying they are not eternally separated but STILL HAVE A CHANCE to humble themselves, repent and God will graft them back in.*
Again in verse 23 Paul is against the reformed interpretation of Romans 11:8.
The same people who in the reformed view are predestined to hell in verse 8 can STILL BE GRAFTED IN “IF THEY ABIDE NOT IN THEIR UNBELIEF.”
    REFORMERS: Predestined to hell
PAUL: IF THEY ABIDE NOT STILL IN UNBELIEF, SHALL BE GRAFTED IN.
    ***************************************
Again let’s continue to disprove their false view of Romans 11:8.
According to reformers this blinding is permanent before the foundation of the world.
But according to the Apostle Paul it’s only in PART and God only TEMPORARILY BLINDED them UNTIL the fullness of the Gentiles came in:
    ROMANS 11:25
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, UNTIL the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
    REFORMERS: Permanent blinding
PAUL: UNTIL the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
    ***************************************
And finally we see again the word of God is against the reformed interpretation of Romans 11:8 at the end of chapter 11.
The same group of people who that according to reformers are predestined to hell in Romans 11:8 we are told by the Apostle Paul that they MAY ALSO OBTAIN MERCY:
    ROMANS 11:30-32
30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy THEY ALSO MAY OBTAIN MERCY.
32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, THAT HE MIGHT HAVE MERCY UPON ALL.
    REFORMERS: No mercy.
    Apostle Paul: MERCY.
I strongly suggest reformers never use Romans 11:8 as some sort of “proof text” for double predestination because they are clearly refuted by the Apostle Paul in the rest of the chapter.
Again this really needs to be exposed that reformers believe those in Romans 11:8 are predestined to hell whereas the Apostle Paul does not.
The people that reformers are against and give no hope to in Romans 11:8 are STILL GIVEN HOPE BY PAUL in verses 11,14,24,25,30,31,32.
The Apostle Paul strongly disagrees with the reformed OPINION of Romans 11:8.
This is exactly what I mean by reformers having no understanding of the verses they randomly quote.
They just regurgitate proof texts with zero comprehension.
They have no clue WHY people are hardened and have no understanding that it’s NEVER permanent and there’s ALWAYS hope right up until we die.

When we know the size of the universe (and we dont) God is clearly almighty indeed. There are more stars in the sky than grains of sand on Earth. @10:10 Mcarthur says “and God can do anything He’s purposed to so is that not true?”
Yes exactly so if God’s purpose is to save anyone who freely believes in His Son and to damn anyone who freely rejects Him then rest assured He will do just that.
He goes on @10:14 to say “so the question then becomes WHY does God pass over some and choose others” and he gives the perverted answer of because of His glory when the BIBLICAL answer is actually because of His SON.
God is most glorified in His SON.
God determined to save only those who freely believes.
Mcarthur goes on to question how God determined who to save and then mockingly says it wasn’t “willy nilly.”
You’re right it wasn’t “willy nilly” it was determined IN HIS SON.
That was God’s choice not ours.
    He chose.
Let me clear something up because it seems like reformers are confused or don’t understand everything that God has done for mankind.
First off let’s be clear GOD CHOSE US.
    Not the other way around.
    We simply accepted His choosing.
God in His Sovereignty has chosen to save anyone who believes in His Son.
NO ONE is chosen apart from Christ.
NO ONE comes to the Father except THROUGH the Son and yet reformers believe you’re born again “before” the Son as in pre-faith regeneration.
I hate to break it to you but you had no special access to the Father before Christ.
You can’t enter into the New Covenant without the Mediator of that Covenant.
You can’t usurp or go around Christ.
Until we believe we stand condemned.
It’s scripturally impossible to be born again while simultaneously still being condemned until you believe.
It’s scripturally impossible to have eternal life before you’re justified.
Again, let’s be clear we love because He FIRST loved us.
That’s HIS divine accomplishment NOT man’s.
GOD took the DIVINE INITIATIVE not man.
GOD took the first step towards mankind in sending His Son.
    GOD made the first move.
No one can seek God on our own.
THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT WE’RE NOT ON OUR OWN ANYMORE!
It’s time for reformers to wake up and realize everything that God has done for us!
    1. He sent HIS SON.
    - That’s HIS divine accomplishment NOT man’s.
    2. He sent HIS HOLY SPIRIT.
    - That’s HIS divine accomplishment NOT man’s.
    3. He gave us HIS WORD.
-That’s HIS divine accomplishment NOT man’s.
    4. He speaks to us through HIS CREATION.
    - That’s HIS divine accomplishment NOT man’s.
    What more do you want?
Is everything that God’s done in taking the DIVINE INITIATIVE and first step towards us not compelling or persuasive enough that He STILL has to effectually make us believe or else none would come to Him?
Basically you’re saying everything God’s done in making the FIRST MOVE towards mankind is not good enough.
Do you have any suggestions for the God of the universe on how maybe He could’ve done things a little better?
Tell Him it’s not good enough I dare you...

@16:00 McArthur references Romans 11:4 and perverts the clear meaning of the text.
QUESTION: Did God just unconditionally reserve 7000 to salvation before the foundation of the world?
    OR
Did God CONDITIONALLY only reserve those who freely did NOT bow their knee to baal?
What does the verse clearly say?
The REASON God had mercy on them was NOT for no apparent reason.
Scripture clearly tells us the reason they were reserved was BECAUSE they did not bow down to baal.
Read what the passage SAYS and don’t twist and pervert it to support your systematic.
    ROMANS 11:3-5
3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I HAVE RESERVED TO MYSELF SEVEN THOUSAND MEN, WHO HAVE NOT BOWED THE KNEE TO THE IMAGE OF BAAL.
5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the ELECTION OF GRACE.
    1 KINGS 19:18
18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, ALL THE KNEES WHICH HAVE NOT BOWED UNTO BAAL, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

The doctrine is a doctrine of demons. Yahweh does choose whom He does but, it's ALSO WRITTEN, as Yahshua answered satan when He was tempted.
    Why wasn't Adam predestined?

@7:52 Mcarthur says he understands the idea of God chooses people for salvation is a hard thing to accept.
REPLY: No it’s not. It’s only a hard thing for Mcarthur and reformers to accept that God in His Sovereignty has chosen to save only those who would freely believe in His Son.
    They can’t accept that.
They can’t accept God’s Sovereign decree and instead want to tell God who they think He should choose to save.
    1 CORINTHIANS 1:21
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God BY THE FOOLISHNESS OF PREACHING TO SAVE THEM THAT BELIEVE.
    God chooses who to save.
So now we must ask ourselves WHO God in His Sovereignty has chosen to save?
How about we let God tell us who He’s chosen to be saved instead of telling Him who we think He’s chosen by saying He’s just chosen random people to be saved before the foundation of the world for no apparent reason.
But what do the scriptures say?
WHO has God chosen to save?
According to the scriptures it’s not a group of random people but it’s a very specific group of people.
God in His Sovereignty has chosen to save all those who FREELY believe in His Son Jesus Christ.
NO ONE comes to the Father except THROUGH Christ.
NOT “before” Christ so that you can then come to Christ.
*You can’t enter into the new covenant without the Mediator of that very covenant!*
    That would usurp Christ.
You can’t get the surgery done without the surgeon.
You can’t be born again without the very one who regenerates you.
...This is WHO God chooses to be saved:
    1 CORINTHIANS 1:21
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that BELIEVE.
Q: According to 1 Corinthians 1:21 does it please God to save those that believe or does it please Him to save people so that then they can then believe after they’re born again?
*God has sovereignly decreed to choose for salvation, only those who would repent and put their faith in Christ.*
Do you reject this passage of scripture?
This is what pleases God and yet you want to try and tell God what pleases Him after He’s already told us?!
It pleases God to save those who BELIEVE.
Who are you o man to shake your fist at God and talk back to Him?
Who are you o man to tell God who He should save?

Please read chapter 3 of Roman’s. Faith is a gift from GOD. So that it is not what you do, but what God does, so that you cannot boast! If you love Jesus and follow His commands, God has already drawn you. after reading your comment, it appears that you are saying the same John MacArthur is preaching, that God chooses who He saves.
It is strange how people get so spun up about the word election. It is all over the Bible. John McArthur didn’t create that word out of the blue. No matter how you want to put it, God’s choosing a people end up being a group of people, a specific group of people as they are chosen by God as opposed to the other group, those who are not chosen!

@@linda2468lou Please read all of the Bible.
Nowhere in scripture does it say faith is some exclusive gift only given to a select group of elitists and withheld from others.
And no one is hung up about election.
See hung up about the twisted and perverted Calvinist definition of election that’s found nowhere in scripture.
Biblical election is to service and not salvation.

The puffed up ranks of the Calvinists then retire to a ripping Calvinist song such as this favourite one and when they sing it ,they are so humbled by it, that it's all that you can do to keep from bursting with pride, which is the glue that keeps them together.

@18:22 Mcarthur falsely assumes who the elect are in this verse when he references 2 TIMOTHY 2:10
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
QUESTION: If the elect are effectually saved and predestined anyways then please tell me what exactly is Paul “enduring” for?
This verse makes zero sense UNLESS they have the freewill ti either accept or reject Christ.
This verse actually DISPROVES reformed theology.
Paul is enduring that they “MIGHT” obtain salvation.
Well in reformed theology their is no “might” it’s a guarantee and no amount of enduring by Paul will change any of that!
This verse is talking about Paul enduring for the elect’s sake who are the ELECT NATION OF ISRAEL.
    The JEWS.
His KINSMEN according to the flesh.
Remember what he said in Romans 10:1?
    ROMANS 10:1
1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
Paul is enduring because of the elect Israel so that they might be saved.

@AVB2 John 12:32 And I, if I should be exalted out of the earth, shall be drawing all to Myself."
Romans 5:18-19 Consequently, then, as it was through one offense for all mankind for condemnation, thus also it is through one just award for all mankind for life's justifying.
For even as, through the disobedience of the one man, the many were constituted sinners, thus also, through the obedience of the One, the many shall be constituted just.
1 Cor 15:22 For even as, in Adam, all are dying, thus also, in Christ, shall all be vivified.
1 Corinthians 15:26 The last enemy is being abolished: death.
1 Corinthians 15:28 …that God may be All in all.
Philippians 2:10-11 …that in the name of Jesus every knee should be bowing, celestial and terrestrial and subterranean, and every tongue should be acclaiming that Jesus Christ is Lord, for the glory of God, the Father.
Colossians 1:20 …and through Him to reconcile all to Him (making peace through the blood of His cross), through Him, whether those on the earth or those in the heavens.
1 Timothy 2:3-4 …our Saviour, God, Who wills that all mankind be saved and come into a realization of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:6 Who is giving Himself a correspondent Ransom for all (the testimony in its own eras),
1 Timothy 4:10 (for for this are we toiling and being reproached), that we rely on the living God, Who is the Saviour of all mankind, especially of believers.
1 John 2:2 And He is the propitiatory shelter concerned with our sins, yet not concerned with ours only, but concerned with the whole world also.

@AVB2 About the "many." You mean like Romans 5:19 ? For even as, through the disobedience of the one man, the "many" were constituted sinners, thus also, through the obedience of the One, the "many" shall be constituted just?
Seems obvious to me. The same "many" that were constituted sinners, by the disobedience of the one man, shall be constituted just by the obedience of the One man.
Hell? Hell, being understood as eternal torment, is a myth. Scriptures never mention "eternal" torment. That's the result of sloppy translating. If you're here to actually consider the matter, I can suggest an article or two, or many a short but enlightening book. But if you're not really interested, and just want to argue, please spare me.

Because God made Abraham a promise; it is by grace and not of works. Romans 4:1-11,
Galatians 3:19-25 confirms this. Election is therefore by the Election of grace through Christ's faith.
The Promise God made to Abraham is the perspective in all the Bible to make Abraham a father of Nations.
The simplicity becomes convoluted with the entering of the law. And the reason for faith loses its reality of grace and not by works or deeds of the law. It is clear what perspective Election speaks too. And why grace through faith of Jesus Christ is the Elect and election.because it's the faith of Christ being the Elect and they that believe in His death burial and Resurrection they inherit the Election of Grace and are also called the Elect.
When people make people; this one is chosen and that one isn't you hear of Satan's Deception.
Paul states that Abraham was not in circumcision but in uncircumcision, and received the seal of circumcision for Righteousness so that uncircumcision and the circumcision the promise may be to ((((( ALL ))))) the seed. God doesn't reject the circumcision for not believing the faith that came with Jesus but unbelief they let a promise slip. But God hasn't discarded His people. But a remnant was saved like was Spoken by the Prophets. And through great tribulation shall Jacob go through; but Jesus will fight and redeem His Covenant people. John that doesn't mean that many choose the law of Righteousness are doomed or rejected Jesus is simply stating many won't believe.and are damned. It's men that chose not God, God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that WHOSOEVER BELIEVES in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
