Just ordered the Panda. Truly beautiful watch with rich heritage and great price point!
Wow, that’s pretty killer. I think the price is actually about right. I don’t understand why more brands don’t just use manual movements for re-issues of manually wound watches. Especially if you have a big rotation, automatic doesn’t really make much of a difference at all. Thickness is a bit more than ideal, but it is a dive chronograph, and I think it’s tolerable.
I think their Antarctic model is terrific! Reminds me of the original Zodiac Seawolf with it's black dial and triangle markers at the cardinal marks
I own the Orange Boy versions of this watch. Very nice with for the money. Incredible attention to detail. Time regulation out of the box on this movement is excellent.
I was in love with the older vintage Chronomasters from the 70's-80's and that's how I knew about this brand. In fact I bought a NOS Panda Nivada Chronograph with the Valjoux 7734 a few years ago and it's in my collection. When the brand was reestablished and came out with this model again I was impressed and still am. This watch is on my radar. I really love the Spyder that they make as well.

Chris, I am fairly new to your channel and do enjoy the content. I would like to suggest when you share a micro brand like Nivada Grenchen that maybe take a minute to share what makes the brand special and some history. Personally I never heard of this brand, but your overview is well done.
Always loved the pictures of that one but seeing in video, it needs to be on my list, especially being under a 40!
I really think the nailed it with this watch, very well done and looks straight out of the late 60’s early 70’s

It's been pretty obvious from the get-go that they're well financed and they appear to be well run.
That Meca-Quartz Datograph that was recently released is a bit of a head scratcher though. Not what I expected from the brand. At all.
Anyway, this is a *good looking* watch. I always liked the vintage piece. The Antarctic Spider is a *very* cool release too.
I'm thinking of grabbing one of these. If I do, I'll want it to serve as a daily but I'm hesitant of the height. Shame I'm unable to get one on wrist pre-purchase.

Nice watch. It's currently on my short list, though the chrono second hand being mis-aligned is truly annoying. I wonder if that's a consistent issue throughout their inventory and, if so, are they going to address it? (Hello, Nivada?) Nice review as well, thanks Chris! (Note: Can I recommend when showing a watch that it be kept in a vertical position as much as possible? Especially for the close-ups and the wrist shots. Makes it easier to "see" the overall design, and wrist wearability.)
I had one of these. The only problem is the crystal design. You almost can't see the tachymetre scale. It's very distorted. They need to redesign it because it's very different compared to the original. I would just use an acrylic.
You should compare this Nivada with the mexican Nivada
I wouldn't let the hangtag bother me to much Chris a lot bigger things out there .
