Nostalgia is a hell of a drug. Still, this is one of the greatest albums from that period. Without a doubt by my estimation. The instrumentation absolutely excels in this album.

This song reminds me of a friend...especially the "useless pretensions are weighing on my time" part.
This song (sync with the video) has the power to create all kind of sensations over my body while listening...pure magic.
For some reason this song used to calm my first born down more than any other song. No idea why. Just played it for my 2nd new born and the exact same thing. The only problem is they get all worked up as soon as the song finishes. Such a beautiful piece of music.
Do you still play this song to your kids? This song will probably feel extremely special to them for the rest of their lives, especially on a subconscious level

I just fell in love with this band. Their tunes are so beautiful and their videos so surprising. I'm generally not very surprised these days, but this band just managed to amaze me utterly.

I absolutely love this song and "Veckatimest" but, in my opinion, "Shields" knocked it out of the park. Grizzly Bear only get better with age.

Its horrible that everybody is saying things like they take drugs or that their videos stink. This is creative and artistic and if you actually took the time to watch the video before you insulted it, you might actually like it. i first heard this track(or any grizzly bear for that matter) on sirius XMU except it was michael mcdonald doing vocals. two days later i went to barnes & noble and snatched up the last veckatimest cd on the shelf. one of the best cd's i've ever purchased!

Speaking as someone who is living in the independent music industry, it warms my heart to see gb making such brilliant videos and gain so much respect from their fans. Hopefully, someday, this "hip-hop loving", "auto-tuned", "computerized" generation will pull its head out of it's ass and try and start rebuilding american music. Until then, I am fine with keeping my headphones in, and my radio OFF.
