My Fav Old HXH Opening btw. Back then Hunter X Hunter was very dark.. Even the animation.. I miss that kinda theme, the pressure from the anime seems real..
As someone who has only seen the 2011 anime, this song makes me wonder it would be like if we got a few different openings instead of different flavors of Departure for each arc. This song just fits the Yorknew City arc so well, makes me wish we had had something this dark and somber for the Chimera Ant Arc. Anyone else agree?
I hated departure when I first heard it and thought “can’t wait until this season is over so I can hear the next intro”. Imagine my disappointment... The way the outro’s fade in is great in the later seasons tho.

@@CamdenOSX it definitly doesn't fit at some point but I still loved hearing it at the beginning of each episode. Never skipped it, not even once. It just became an inseparable part of hxh. Those last arcs were pretty tense, departure kinda decreased the amount of tension too.

2024 gang where you at ? Still the best HxH opening after 24 years. Encapsulates perfectly the vibe of the series. The nostalgia I get from it is hard to describe. More than an anime opening for me, a legendary track.

This opening is one of the reason why i don't like the new hxh to much because its the same opening repeated for 100+ episodes i know its good but it gets annoying atleast the old hxh had 2 openings and those were different

Such an amazing song. The dark and melancholic tone fits perfectly in this arc. I think this song would be even more impactful as an ending song.
