I started drinking alcohol since my teenage. Spent my whole life fighting alcohol addiction. Also suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

Amen God bless people. Save your health save your mind. Life is better without heroin, cocaine, alcohol and cigarettes. And you have more money in your pocket. God bless everyone who has rejected the devils intentions to be addicted to alcohol and cigarettes etc which can cause so much damage to health.

Can you help me with the reliable source 🙏. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Germany. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them.

Today is Day 1 for me. 47 years old and I have been a social drinker since 13. The hangovers cause major sadness and anxiety. It takes 3 days to get back on track. I’ve missed days at work and quality time with my kids. Alcohol is not worth it anymore for me. I’m ready to live the next half of my life happily sober

I’m 14 months sober after drinking for 11 years (15 - 26). I didn’t consider myself an alcoholic, because I didn’t drink alone, and I didn’t drink from morning to night. I started drinking alone, and I started drinking earlier and earlier in the day.
Alcoholism doesn’t have just one look. It took me many years to come to terms with the fact that I had a problem. My life has completely changed now. I am still recalibrating, and I don’t know what it will look like in ten years, but I haven’t touched a drop since I quit a year ago, and I am very proud of myself. ❤️

I am 52 and have been a drinker off and on most of my life. Since March 2020 I have been drinking whisky virtually every night for 3 years. My business is now grinding to almost no income and I'm deeply in debt. My anxiety has been off the charts. This is day 1 of not drinking. I need a change or my life is over. Drinking is just not worth it anymore. I am ready to grow. Wishing everyone all the best on their journey.

I'm 69 and drank every day for about 40 years too. I never drank to oblivion etc but I drank 3+ beers a day. Im now at 6mths and Ive been pretty good up until the last few weeks and the craving has come back so make sure you have cover. I take Antabuse every few days just to be sure I wont lose control. My will power is pretty good and Im very confident of totally stopping but I'm just warning you to get some cover. I am annoyed the cravings have come back but Im sure they will go again and they will get less and less but I do look forward to the day I never even think about alcohol. Keep very busy especially around drinking time like 4pm onward, get some antibuse or similar to give you some cover. One thing that I found takes my mind off alcohol before dinner is doing a jigsaw just a suggestion. All the best its not easy but its very possible

    Hi. Thx for your words.
I have been sober 5 years, then began to play with alcohol again. Honeymoon phase for one or two months (1 drink was enough for a great buzz, I was LOVING it), then that vanished, and I was back to drinking up to 10 drinks (sometimes two bottles of wine), on more nights than not. that was 1,5 years ago. I was sometimes sober, for one or two weeks, one time even for two months. But I always went back to drinking again, with little remorse... I just didn't care what I did to myself. I gave up my sports routines (I was runnning up to 70k a week), gained 25(!)kg.
The last two weeks I was on a binge. With one day pause, 2 bottles of wine EVERY night.
TODAY I am on day one. Determined.
In everything I gave up, when I REALLY got through some weeks, I think I am kind of different from the classical case. I don't miss the stuff. I didn't smoke for 6 six years, at one point in my life. I didn't drink for five years, I stopped playing videogames for almost two years. No problem. But there IS a problem: it has always been a false sense of security. And one day, you say to yourself: I think NOW I can handle it...
    It almost never works.
I wonder if there are others you DON'T want to drink, even after years of sobriety (according to AA, it's a struggle every day)... because when I get over the hump, I don't struggle. And while it sounds like a blessing, it's also a curse. There's always this point when I get careless and over-confident.
Let's try it, again. This time, it will work. I will only drink, when with friends, and only two drinks, max...
    Yeah. Sure.
Thx again, for you video. It's very motivating. 🙏

I quit drinking at Christmas after moving out of my partner’s house with our 2 year old. He drank about half a case of beer per night and I couldn’t even enjoy a beer anymore because I always felt like I had to have more just to socialize with him. I got my own place and completely quit so I could be a better example to my son and for the health and fitness goals I have for the year. I feel so much better and I don’t miss it, although I never had an actual alcohol problem. I just don’t want it around my son when he’s with me. Best decision ever.

This is my public commitment to not drink from today. I've been drinking from 15 to now (26). Slowly it has pushed whole friendship groups, housemates, and a very dear girlfriend away. I'm not sure when but for a few years I've started to binge drink whenever I touch the stuff. I can't just have one or two. I'll consume whatever is around me and then seek more until I pass out or black out. I become a very angry and arrogant person with no self control that says horrible things to nice people and puts myself and others in harms way.
I even talk to my parents in a disrespectful manner which I wouldn't dream of if I was sober.
Besides the effects is has durring the drinking, the hangover often is accompanied with a sense of shame so deep I can't leave my room all day. It affects my motivation and sense of worth.
Thank you for the continued videos. I'm going to take the necessary steps to give up alcohol completely. As I need, and want to quit.

It’s important to distinguish between an addiction, a dependency and a habit. Someone with an alcohol habit will drink when they get the chance and might occasionally drink at inappropriate times, but they can still function pretty well if they’re not able to get alcohol. Someone with a dependence will try to have a drink every day, but a small one is usually enough and they don’t want to be drunk; they struggle a bit when there’s no alcohol available but they can cope. Addiction is like both of these plus a thousand; the person has a compulsion to always be drinking, even when they’re already drunk, and their body goes into withdrawal without it (which is very dangerous, as alcohol is one of a few substances where withdrawal is potentially fatal).
My point? Most people aren’t addicts and shouldn’t believe they are. If you can stop doing the thing without much trouble it was likely a habit.

3 months sober from drugs and alcohol. I feel great, and it has been a truly eye-opening experience. I have binged alcohol and smoked weed since I was 14, with other drugs mixed in over the years. I turned 42 and finally decided to move forward from these anchors. Quitting has been nothing but positive in every way...but I do miss the social aspect. The drinking culture is incredibly high in my college town and my social circle drinks. I feel like the odd man out often, and I'm worried I might fall back into my old habits. I started watching videos like yours, and it seems to be helping. I quit a week ago. I didn't drink every day, or even every week, but when I drink I just can't control myself. I cause so much trouble and so much drama to everyone around me. The most embarrassing moments in my life came to be, because I drank. I am looked at like the guy who, when he drinks is just a danger to everyone around. I probably have had more injuries and very close to death moments, than ever, when I drank. So... I quit. I want to know who I am, when I don't drink and what is possible. I just want to try and see who I can be, what my sober me can do.
I wish everyone who has the same problem as me, to just stop and think about who you are when you drink. Is that actually you? Because it is you, but all the bad parts of you. You would never do those things if you were sober right? So, why be such a guy/girl. Just give yourself the opportunity to find out who you really are. The boring times and the social times, every time, like the guy said, for at least half a year. Get to know your true self. Imagine what a wild adventure that'll be!

I am 48, drank all my life and stopped 8 months ago. It’s good to push yourself to stop of course but it’s also important to realize that’s life without alcohol is another life altogether. It has specific qualities and pros and cons. But most of us boomers who just drank since high school just don’t know how it is. We imagine it, yes. But we don’t know. So it’s very important to keep an open mind and not be in performance mode all the time. Just observe how is the sober life and you will gain strength from it. It’s not always a good idea to power through difficulties and just hoping it will get better. The journey to being sober is also a journey of being kind to oneself.

The best thing I’ve ever done to help myself and because of it my family was to quit drinking. There are no winners in alcohol abuse,it’s so destructive and harmful.I’ve been sober 421 days as of this morning and I will never go back to those bad times. I deal with my depression with exercise and and getting in to as many projects and hobbies as possible. Anything to keep my mind of slipping. Life is the best now I’m sober and if anyone is struggling then realise you can get sober and there is a life without alcohol. Great video too buddy😀

First months are the hardest. After 6months it is loot better. Have to remember that you are still addict even when sober. Love for alcohol doesn't change. You only stop crave it. I'm 11months sober and it is crazy how much better I feel mentally and physically. I ain't going back. But i still would like to get drunk, the good times 😂 Even from sip of alcohol my brain starts demanding more and gets hipped up.

For me it's also about the example I set. I function well, but drinking was like running with a parachute on my back. If I say to my kids "I don't need alcohol, and I can quit." They will always remember that should they ever feel the need. Or maybe they won't start in the first place.

I’m just reading some of the comment about people committing to not drinking. Which is absolutely fantastic. But I feel I need to make a point about safety. If you are drinking a large amount very regularly it is not safe to go cold turkey. Stopping suddenly can lead to seizures, hallucinations and delirium tremens. If you think you may fall into this category please consult with your doctor about how to safely withdraw from alcohol. I wish you well on your journey to sobriety.

I've battled drinking from the age of 25 to 45 because I found myself living for the weekends and not happy with my choice of work carrier. I would drink through the week to cope with life and binge drink with friends on weekends when possible. At 45 I emotionally knew I was failing in life by my choices and actions from alcohol. At 47 I found my passion for the outdoors to be more true to myself, so I started a tube channel for fishing and camping. I am happy to say that I found myself before loosing everything I had embracing me like my wife and kids to the true friends that were not abusers. I can stay sober for weeks now and choose when and how much I want to drink if I choose to with friends. Life really begins when you understand!

Although I’m only 20, alcohol has had such an effect on my life. I’m fortunate enough to have got into a very prestigious uni and It’s only since taking a year out that I’ve noticed how much alcohol affects my mental health. Binge-drinking 4-5 times a week never gave me chance to recover and as silly as it sounds I never blamed it on the drink. Whenever I drink I have the typical hangover, then cravings and then on the third day I become incredibly anxious and feel as though the world is ending. It’s interesting to me because the ‘world-ending’ problems seem to be genuine in the moment, something unrelated to the alcohol, but by the fifth day I feel fine and I can rationalise all of my thoughts and feelings. This is not to say life is perfect but I feel so normal and focused after a week off drinking. I think my issue is after the anxiety disappears… When I feel great I want to go out, dance with friends and ‘enjoy myself’. I tell myself that it’s my imagination, that it has nothing to do with alcohol, that all my friends drink and they are fine. I trick myself to believe that all the depressive after effects are placebo!!! Next minute I’m out again and the cycle renews. I know this is very common, people saying they’ll never drink again and then the following weekend they’re at the pub - but for someone that is so aware why do I keep going back to it? I think it’s because, even writing this sober I still acknowledge that nights out are incredibly fun. I know there are substitutes however nothing seems to compare. I think I need to persevere but it’s so difficult when at my age it’s so easy to facilitate drinking. Also although I can acknowledge that everyday life is so much more enjoyable sober, when I think about the future, there’s something about sobriety that feels so monotonous and depressing. This is something I’ve thought about a lot over 2023 and I’ve already drank quite a lot in January this year. That being said I know I’m on the right path… I’m not sure. I guess it’s just comforting to know that I’m not alone when it comes to the severe stress and sadness alcohol causes (even if on the surface alcohol doesn’t seem to be the problem). I never comment on videos but I’m glad I’ve shared this.

I am 43 and I don't think there has been a period longer than weeks that has gone by in my life that I haven't had a single drop of alcohol since I was legally allowed to drink alcohol. Quite sad actually. Almost everyone I know drinks alcohol, it has always been around in my surroundings. It's going to be an interesting journey taking this step. But its good to hear that there are someone out there that is willing to say that they loved it and still realized that they needed to quit. It has been destroying my life and marriage and has made me a terrible person. That to me is enough to not want to drink again. Its just not worth the few sips that taste good. I watched your previous video too about you saying what would even the point of going out then and I feel the same way. I know that i need to work on finding happiness in something else.

Lots of what you said resonated so much with me - I took a break in July 2013 after pretty much drinking every single day for 20 years - I was a working dj and music promoter so was constantly surrounded by alcohol, most of it a free rider for me so initially it was difficult and more of a cultural shift than anything else. All that being said after I hit my 3 month target I realised I didn't want to resume drinking as I was enjoying sobriety far more. Ten years on I work out most days rather than drinking most days and am fitter in my 50's than I have ever been... So if I can do it anyone can... 10 years alcohol free and loving life more than ever before.
