We got 2 guys in the NBA top five in Steals (SGA and Caruso), + The Dorture Chamber, + JDub with a 7'2" wingspan... We will have a record number of deflected passes and steals. Perimeter D is going to be insane. And even if you get past that, you have Chet and IHart (in 6 weeks) swatting at everything near the rim... Thunder will have the #1 Defense in the NBA.

The Thunder had very few needs going into the offseason, but they were necessary to take another step:
-Replace Josh Diddy with a high motor guard(Caruso)
-Add a bigger body to clog up the paint in Chet's place(Hartenstein)
To ONLY lose Josh Giddey and add these two guys in his place is masterful, OKC has such a bright future.

Only injury will keep them from the 1 seed. The only blip on their horizon is the fact they won't be able to pay everyone the stars will either have to take pay cuts like Brunson or even bigger or they will lose a few pieces. But they have been drafting so well and have so many picks I'm not even sure that is much of a problem in the end.
They should do better next post season if healthy too I'd say conference finals or better should be the goal. Winning the chip may be a stretch given how young they are but yeah sky is the limit.

OKC can actually afford to pay SGA/JDub/Chet in a couple years and not be hurt too bad if they are willing go into the tax some. They can actually afford to accept IHarts TO and still be under the 2nd apron (which I bet they renegotiate). The only thing that could keep them from that is if both JDub and Chet make All-NBA and get bumped to 30%. Their saving grace will be having so many 1st's that they can continually keep the bottom 6 on rookie deals. Cason Wallace and Lu Dort coming up for deals when SGA gets a Super in 3 years will be the first real decision they need to make.

Harteinstein is much better than JayWill at defense
Cason Wallace can put on some locks

Bruh, idk how long you or anyone in here has followed the Thunder, but up until last season, the Thunder have always lacked reliable 3pt shooters, or if they were good in the past for another team, they couldn’t hit shit in OKC. Anyways, we all desperately wanted to see Adams try to step out and hit a corner 3 every once in awhile so that we could play 5 out, but it’s like they just never tried. Anyways, I think it was the opening play of the Chris Paul era and they run down the court, CP3 kicks it to Adams in the corner and he fucking drains it. I don’t think he shot another 3 again all season 😂😂😂

The Giddey/Caruso trade was idiotic and with Hartenstein out for some time all of you out there who think that was a good trade are going to truly see how stupid it was because Hart isn't going to be there to make up for the difference between them which is a massive decrease in talent plus a change in chemistry. Caruso for his career doesn't even average 7 pts. per game and he won't come close to that in OKC and they didn't need him anyway because Wiggins is better than him. Giddey is going to go off for Chicago. You will all find out soon....

Bro it wasn't a talent issue with Giddey. It was lineup issues. The only time he gets was a positive player for OKC is when he had the ball in his hands. But this isn't the kinda team that needs a ballhandler. They have Shai, plus other players that are way more efficient Giddey. Call me crazy but I'd say that trade was more about team fit, rather than talent.

@@jaredammon1093 Again, how did OKC finish 1st in the west and go 57-25 and MASSIVELY exceed all expectations with Giddey in the starting lineup playing a big part of their success last year? I've yet to hear one of you give any sort of logical response to this question. Are you trying to claim that OKC would have won 80 games or some shit with a different player? You can't do any better than 1st place in the west man. Now they have broken up that team and they might not ever be as good again. @@joeldriver-sp2rg I completely agree Giddey a baller. And yes he did contribute to the teams overall success. Hell he carried a portion of the schedule when SGA was out. But let's not pretend that he didn't get exposed over and over by a lack of shooting or to be honest anything other than playmaking. He wasn't a great finisher or shooter, and a liability on D for this team. So he's limited to what he has already done, or been able to do if he was to stay. We've seen the full extent of what he'd be able to offer the roster. With the ball in his hands, he plays his best ball. But as I previously stated, that's not what the thunder need.
And no I never said I thought they'd win 80 games lmao. All I did was point out the fit issue between what he provides and what the thunder needs. Unfortunately they just didn't fit together.
